The Boba Fett Book is an expected but unnecessary Star Wars spin-off – Movies and TV shows on DTF
A fantasy mini-series about the rise of legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett to crime boss Mos Espa on Tatooine has ended. Sluggish Boba, hardened beskar, cute Grog, scary Cad Bane – how did Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni lose all the magic of a galaxy far, far away and return to their Disney roots?

Against the background of unsuccessful sequels in the franchise, Disney (under whose wing Lucasfilm is located) ventured to expand the MCU with a series about a previously unknown bounty hunter, the Mandalorian, who helped a foundling baby (actually quite old) of a race that same as Jedi Yoda. An extremely risky decision was made, because in the event of a failure of the series, the launch of the Disney + streaming platform was waiting for the failure. However, the first season was a hit with audiences and critics alike. The Mandalorian has become a breath of fresh air for fans of the Saga, telling not about the history of the Skywalker family, not about the political squabbles of the Empire and the Republic, not about rebels and clones, but about an original, albeit clichéd, story somewhere on the outskirts of the Galaxy. The sequel was not long in coming. A year later, everyone was shocked by the second season: the mistakes that the showrunners took into account when developing the first season appeared like mushrooms after the rain, and the season itself was more like a fan-service springboard for the announcement of new series about familiar characters. However, the return of the fan-favorite character Boba Fett and the tear-squeezing ending gave viewers hope that a miracle would happen and the next story in the universe would be much better.
The miracle didn’t happen.
When watching, you will not let go of the feeling that the series is woven from a whole palette of threads. The showrunners did a really bad job with the fractional material, which is why the series is perceived as very chaotic and done on its knees. Given that the same team worked on it as on The Mandalorian, one gets the feeling that this is not at all a series about Boba Fett, his ascent in the criminal hierarchy or a past shrouded in the unsteady and unpleasant sands of Tatooine, but preparation for the third season of Dean’s adventures Djarin.
Fett is older, softer. Having got out of the mouth of a sandworm, he falls into the Tusken tribe, first as a slave, and then, having earned their universal respect, as a fellow tribesman. But the flywheel of intrigue on Tatooine did not stop working on this. Labor activity gave rise to a motivation invisible to the spectator’s eye in Bob, and he himself settled down by constantly changing timelines, probably. For four episodes, we are invited to follow Fett’s interline mental anguish, which is as tiring as it can be. Drivers in the story, if present, are not hidden by the most successful editing and directing. Weak, indeed. However, the second half of the series looks more attractive. There is a return of both old friends and old enemies. What a pity that it consists mainly of fan service: Luke’s phrases are solid quotes, Ahsoka’s appearance does not affect anything, etc. Chekhov’s guns also work poorly, some of which will probably fire in season 3 of The Mandalorian.
The heroes spend a third of the entire series at night, or in the darkness of the space station. This is a competent director’s decision only in one (fifth) series, and in all others it looks like a necessary measure due to the cut budget (graphics and “backs” look sad). Which is strange, because the series is under the wing of the multi-million dollar corporation Disney, and The Mandalorian from the same creators did not have such a problem. Probably affected by the accelerated production process. And the action causes laughter in places, the work of one director is so bad, to which I will return later.
But in a barrel of tar, not without a spoon of honey. Who coped with their work perfectly well are the composers – Ludwig Goransson (“Black Panther”, “Tenet”) and Joseph Shirley (“Secret Society of Mr. Benedict”). The themes written by them for the series sound truly massive and intimidating, just right for a gangster on a tough, desert planet. You want to watch the end credits not only because of the beautiful concept art, but also because of the music. However, everything is not so simple here either. Innovative and loud compositions contrast strongly with what is happening in the series. This also confirms the speculation that the series was made in a hurry and in many ways to connect the storylines that Grog and Djarin had previously parted. The camera work of the series also did not let us down. David Kline, Dean Candy, Paul Hyun showed the sultry, endless and dangerous desert (hello “Dune”!), densely populated cities of Tatooine, dynamic flights and exciting duels in the spirit of westerns of the 60s. No frills, but thanks for that.
Remember the episode 5 that was touched on earlier? So, despite not the best scenario solutions and the traditional buddy-movie series with the repair of vehicles, it is beautiful. This is the merit of director Bryce Dallas Howard, who is known to many as an actress in such films as Spider-Man 3: The Enemy in Reflection and The Help, but who recently decided to change her place on the set and follow in her father’s footsteps (her father is Ron Howard). Eternally night city-station, which is illuminated with cold light, ranging from huge lanterns and panels to small light bulbs, continuously filmed passages of the hero with a hovering camera, a well-staged action scene of a fight in a meat packing plant and flights through the desert, so strongly reminiscent of Tony Stark’s first flights in ” Iron Man.” What’s funny, Fett is not present in the series, but it is all about the everyday life of a bounty hunter and his melancholy wanderings.
What can not be said about her colleagues. Separate mention is Robert Rodriguez, who was noted by the final and part-time series with the lowest viewer rating of the entire season, who introduced, although diluting the brown palette with his multi-colored bikes and augmentations, but unnecessary cyborg teenagers. Because of what it becomes scary for the sequel to Alita, if, of course, it ever comes out.
“The Book of Boba Fett” is an excellent sleeping pill, which should not only put you to sleep, but give the viewer a good night’s sleep before the upcoming series about Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano.

How to shop for Car Stereos
The car stereo is the centerpiece of any car audio system. When shopping for a new stereo, how do you pick the right one? These tips and our website can help you narrow the choices.
A good place to start is to filter out all the stereos that won’t work with your car. That’s just one of the reasons we ask you to tell us what you drive — it’ll make your shopping easier.
Expert Advice
A new stereo can add features that your current stereo lacks and provide much better sound quality. Below is some basic info about shopping for a new car stereo. For more detailed buying tips, be sure to read our car stereo buying guide.
If a larger stereo (“double-DIN”) will fit in your car, then consider getting a touchscreen stereo. Touchscreen controls make it easy to adjust the stereo. They also tend to have more features than smaller car stereos and better smartphone integration via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Smaller, “single-DIN” stereos are usually more affordable, and you can still get a lot of great features.
What to look for
Make sure you get the options you want. Here are a few features to look for:
Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and music streaming. This is almost a standard feature, but there are still a few stereos that don’t have it.
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatibility. Many stereos will do both. You can learn more about phone integration in our Android Auto and Apple CarPlay articles.
Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. Most stereos require a USB connection to your phone in order to use CarPlay or Android Auto, but some offer the greater convenience of a completely wireless connection.
Voice control. One of the newest features in car stereo, some stereos incorporate Alexa or Siri voice commands when connected to your phone.
Popular questions customers ask
Adding GPS navigation requires that you get a touchscreen stereo, of course, and you have two options. First, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay let you use your favorite GPS app including Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze. If you want GPS navigation without tying up your phone, you’ll have to get a new stereo with built-in navigation.
Shop compatible products
Yes, when connected via USB or Bluetooth, you can play music from your phone on the radio. And if you’re using CarPlay or Android Auto, you can control most music apps from the stereo’s touchscreen for a “true” car stereo feel.
Our vehicle database is unmatched. We’ve taken apart the dashes and door panels of more than thousands of vehicles and measured every space and bolt pattern. We’ll also make sure you get the right installation gear when you order.
You’ll need a special adapter to keep those handy buttons working with your new stereo. When you shop on our site, we’ll show you all the options for installation hardware, including the right adapter for the steering wheel controls.
New stereos will often work with your existing backup camera. We’ll let you know before you make your purchase. If your car doesn’t already have a camera, you’ll find compatible backup cameras under the stereo’s “Accessories” tab on our site.

Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX Quick Review
Pioneer’s latest creation is the DMH-WT8600NEX, and we think it is the ultimate touchscreen car stereo. This modular design is suitable for nearly any vehicle and the incredibly massive touchscreen is as fast and accurate as it is gorgeous. The DMH-WT8600NEX is a major improvement over the previous model.
The HD-resolution (1280×720) touchscreen dominates this unit. It is a massive 10.1” capacitive touchscreen mounted to a single-DIN chassis that provides an unheard-of range of installation angles. The screen can move up and down in 15mm increments a total of 60mm to clear air vents, buttons, or odd-shaped dash panels. The touchscreen can also move left or right 30mm each and in or out 20mm. To improve viewability, the screen can tilt 60 degrees forward and 15 degrees back.
Pioneer’s CarAVAssist app is compatible with the DMH-WT8600NEX, opening up a world of customizable colors, patterns, and other advanced features. It includes wired and wireless connections for hands-free control for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Dual camera inputs offer safety improvements, while built-in readiness for iDataLink Maestro and Axxess Integration adapters makes installation in modern vehicles a snap.
The Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX is our top touchscreen car stereo because of the massive HD screen and flexible installation options. It offers the connectivity that today’s drivers demand and excellent audio performance.

Sony XAV-AX8100 Quick Review
When you need the ultimate in real estate, look no further than the Sony XAV-AX8100. Last year, its sister model, the AX8000, made this list but since then there have been even more improvements. First off, this unit has a massive 8.95” touchscreen, yet it fits a single DIN 2” opening. The clever design allows this massive monster to fit in so many more vehicles than a traditional 2 DIN opening. It is an outstanding upgrade for older vehicles once thought to be limited on touch screen stereo upgrades.
The biggest difference to highlight between the AX8100 and its predecessor, the AX8000 is that the AX8100 now comes with an HDMI input. This allows you to simply plug in ANY multimedia device that you want and play video directly on the head unit. Xbox, Playstation, Switch, or even your iPhone with an HDMI adapter – this HDMI input is a HUGE upgrade and really opens this unit up as a super powerful multimedia head unit. Additionally, it is also preloaded with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for a seamless music experience. It has one of the lowest glare screens we have ever tested as well. Simple, easily understandable icons help drivers stay focused on the road and not on searching for features they want.
The nearly 9” touch sensitive screen appears to hover above your dash when installed. The screen can be tilted to accommodate different angles and to provide a comfortable viewing angle for the driver. The simple, matte-finish look blends in nicely with many different vehicle interiors and gives a true high-end feel to any car or truck. The AX8000 is an instant upgrade for almost any car on the road today.
The AX8100 features a peak of 55 watts per channel and has five, 5V pre outs for even more expandability. The unit is factory-prepared for a single backup camera. A single rear USB port can be used for wired connections and provides a 1.5a charging point for your smartphone.
We did a full installation and review of the XAV-AX8100 and loved the unit. Check out the full review.

Alpine ILX-W650 Quick Review
Alpine always puts out a solid product. We recently did a full review and feature demo of the iLX-W650 and really loved it. The ILX-W650 gives you a beautiful capacitive touchscreen measuring 7 inches. At only 2.4” deep, the ILX-W650 can be installed in virtually any vehicle with a double-DIN dash opening. It’s great for shallow dashes that have little room behind the unit. Very few head units with this size screen will allow for such flexibility.
Alpine provides a trick two-finger ‘swipe’ feature that can be used to quickly access apps and functions with minimal interaction. In fact, the ease of the swipe reduces the need for drivers to take their eyes off the road to select options.
Icons are displayed in bright, vivid colors and are easy to quickly understand. Built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be connected via USB to compatible smartphones and tablets. Alpine loaded the ILX-W650 up with the apps you need the most, like Waze, Google Maps, Pandora, and Sirius XM.
Power output is good, coming in at 40 watts peak with 16 watts per channel RMS. If you have the space, the ILX-W650 is designed to mount the Alpine KTA-450 amplifier. This amp will add 50 watts per channel and mounts to the rear of the head unit. Overall size is roughly that of a standard double-DIN head unit when connected to the Alpine iLX-W650.
Overall, this is a really great product for a mid-range price. If you’re not looking to spend $500 but want the latest features like Apple CarPlay, and also want the reassurance of a top-quality brand this is the best choice for you.

Kenwood DNR1008RVS Quick Review
Adding a massive touchscreen with customizable navigation features is a great way to bring modern technology to your car, or even motorhome or tractor-trailer rig. The Kenwood DNR1008RVS is an ideal option for not only your car or truck, but also for specialized vehicles. This is more than just a high-quality car stereo, it is a multimedia hub that lets you build a custom system perfect for all types of vehicles.
We often save the built-in navigation head units for our list of best GPS navigation receivers because much of the technology is available through third-party apps. They’re typically more expensive, so if you don’t want the feature it’s a sunk cost. But when we sat down with the DNR1008RVS, we felt like it needed to be included. This car stereo has a huge 10.1” floating touchscreen and navigation powered by Garmin. And for those looking for an ideal unit for your RV or 18 wheeler, you can input details about the vehicle – such as length, height, and whether you are towing a trailer – allowing the head unit’s navigation to plot a route that avoids low overpasses and roads that are not accessible to large vehicles and provides options for finding RV parks and rest stops.
The mapping features are fantastic options we haven’t seen elsewhere, and the 3D maps with topography are stunning. A video feed can send the navigation map to a secondary monitor to allow your navigator to easily plot the course without being in the cockpit. Kenwood provides options to connect up to four exterior cameras, making driving large vehicles much safer. We used one camera for a trailer hitch view for hooking up a boat trailer and added side cameras to help make lane changes on busy freeways simple.
The Kenwood DNR1008RVS isn’t just a nav receiver. It offers Bluetooth for dual-phone connection and Kenwood’s Music Mix to stream playback from as many as five devices at once. Three pairs of 4v preouts and a three-way crossover make expanding and custom-tuning possible to get great sound in a large vehicle. It is even compatible with iDataLink Maestro, so you won’t lose the factory functions that may have been incorporated into your factory car stereo.

Alpine Halo9 iLX-F509 Quick Review
Also ranked on our list of Best iDataLink Head Units, the Alpine Halo9 was among the very best looking 9” screens available. It is bright, clear, and super responsive. To make it even easier to install, the chassis is a single-DIN size. This makes for an easy installation in almost any car or truck.
The massive high-definition screen is easily controlled with taps and swipe gestures in an intuitive layout that makes the Halo9 iLX-F509 user friendly and distraction-reducing. Plus, the ultra-modern design gives tons of status to any interior. Resolution is among the very best at 1280×720.
A beautiful screen is useless if it isn’t backed up by terrific performance, and Alpine left no box unchecked with the Halo9 iLX-509. JVC KW-M780BT Quick Review
JVC does a great job of adding value to this head unit by expanding the capabilities of the Bluetooth connection. One of our favorite features is the JVC Streaming DJ function which allows up to five devices to pair simultaneously. Streaming DJ allows playback from stored songs and streaming services like Spotify and Pandora. You and your friends can take turns playing the next song without having to connect and pair devices repeatedly.
The JVC KW-M780BT replaces the previous M750BT car stereo that was on our list and offers an improved DSP for clean and clear sound. The KW-M780BT provides dual camera inputs and an A/V port that can be used for an additional video feed, even sending video to headrest monitors for backseat entertainment. A mini HDMI port will even allow you to hook up a video game console for rear passenger entertainment on the road.
The screen measures 6.75” and can be controlled with gestures and swipes. The chassis is a double-DIN design that works well in vehicles with limited depth behind the stereo. The shallow chassis makes installation easy and provides ample space for wiring connections. The KW-M780BT includes wired access to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Jensen CAR8000 Quick Review
Buyers who are drooling over our top touchscreen car stereo might get a shock when they see the price tag. Don’t give up on your dreams of a massive touchscreen in your car just yet. Jensen recently updated the CAR1000 and introduced the CAR8000, which provides a high-definition 10.1” capacitive touchscreen display with all of the bells and whistles you expect from a high-end car stereo at a practically unbelievable price. Jensen even included a CD/DVD player in this unit. Dual USB inputs allow streaming from a connected device or a thumb drive.
The CAR8000 chassis is a standard double-DIN design, and because of the CD/DVD drive, it requires a deep dash space for installation. The car stereo has a single camera input that works with aftermarket backup cameras. Front, rear, and subwoofer preouts offer 4v power for expansion and custom tuning. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included but require a wired connection.
The CAR8000 offers many options and an excellent screen, but a few things are lacking. We would have liked to see a wireless Bluetooth connection for hands-free driving. The lack of an HDMI input limits the devices you can use to display a video on the monitor. Sound quality is on par with similarly priced units but pales compared to some of the higher-end car stereos we have reviewed.

one of my cars is over 30 years old, so I hesitated a bit and was very careful when looking for a new head unit for your new hobby. Cadillac STS 2005. It still had the factory radio in it, and it sounded lousy. But it also has Bose speakers and a built-in amplifier, so I figured the audio part of the Caddy had to be high quality. I’m amazed at how easy it is to install Binize. I didn’t even need a set of cables. The charts they provide are clear and concise. I hooked everything up in less than 45 minutes and it sounds so much better than I could have imagined. And all this for less than $150! Amazing!

So I bought this because the reviews seemed good, and the price was great and because i like it I just installed it today. I’ve used wiring harnesses to simplify it, but can’t seem to get the SWC to work yet. I’m thinking maybe I swapped the wires, I should check that. (Update so my cables don’t flip, learning steering wheel control is button press and today after a bit of fiddling I found that you have to press and hold the button and then select what it should be, also I did (to do this no need to order extra part, i just ordered a steering wheel harness for my toyota, just cut the wires and connected it directly to the radio) connects well with my phone, but i have 4G. i also ended up using the dashboard kit , mostly because it didn’t look like it fits right into my Toyota Sienna 06. Also, it sits a little higher, so…

Got this Android device for my Camry a few weeks ago . The parcel arrived quickly. I had to buy a wiring harness to connect to the original wires, which was very easy. I made some changes to the front panel I bought to replace the stock unit to make it a double din, but it didn’t make a big difference. The screen is very responsive and the colors are very good. Looks better than my real crv screen. Full audio equalizer settings are available. At the first boot, the device boots briefly, then it happens spontaneously. barely noticeable. Installed several launchers to make the menu look better, now the compass is displayed very accurately. Waiting in the car looks nice, like a big tablet. The only problem I have is that sometimes the steering wheel stops working and the seller can send me another one to check. See also a series of videos on their YouTube channel on troubleshooting. the biggest and most serious problem is the horrendously high latency for most applications. I mean 10 plus seconds between button presses. The cards are basically useless and that’s 99% the reason I bought them. Here’s a list of all the other issues I’ve had: Apps freeze constantly, touch screen and UI are clunky and don’t work smoothly, Google Play can’t download apps or update existing apps, everything is horribly translated into English, setting up for settings requires a password , which you can’t change, the factory settings are in a weird order and sometimes in Chinese or unreadable English, doesn’t support Bluetooth internet data transmission, which means you may need to set up a hotspot every time you reboot, I can’t iPhone 6s or Connect Pixel 5 for screen mirroring, update via SD image required, not just update via…

ENNYM FM RADIO. WIFI SHOULD BE EVERYTHING. GOOGLE MAPS MUST HAVE WI-FI TO WORK. I installed this item in my 2014 Ford Expedition XLT on February 2, 2020. The product arrived the next day with no problems and I went to take apart my dashboard. Again, no problem. Removed the factory radio, which had steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, and XM radio, but no touchscreen or rearview camera. So, I got to the wiring. Turns out the 2014 Ford Expedition’s radio wiring is downright insane. I spent hours looking for diagrams, trying to figure out what’s what. The instructions in the box with this radio are worthless. They show you nothing of value. Obviously the twisted wires were the speakers, so that’s not a problem. My problem started with the ACC cable. That is, when the key is turned on, the radio turns on, but turns off when the key is in the off position. I ended up having to run additional wires to the fuse box and…

21 who constantly gets frustrated with technology, I am pleasantly surprised by the level of features and overall quality of this devices. The unit is a little overkill to be honest, as I was just looking for an upgrade for my base 2010 Ford Transit radio. But at this price point, the extra cake and future-proofing that these bells and whistles offer made the purchase a breeze. This thing does a lot. Cameras, GPS, USB, and amplifiers are only part of the story; If you install it as an upgrade to a higher quality factory device, you will be happy. Replacing my old AM/FM was like tying a rocket to the cockpit. The microphone for the phone is built in and it’s much clearer than the helicopter pilot-style headset I struggled with while driving.

Inside the Barbie Dreamhouse, a Fuchsia Fantasy Inspired by Palm Springs
Barbie’s Dreamhouse is no place for the bashful. “There are no walls and no doors,” says Greta Gerwig via email. “Dreamhouses assume that you never have anything you wish was private—there is no place to hide.” That layered domestic metaphor has proved rich fodder for the filmmaker, whose live-action homage to the iconic Mattel doll hits theaters July 21.

To translate this panopticon play world to the screen, Gerwig enlisted production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer, the London-based team behind such period realms as Pride & Prejudice and Anna Karenina. The two took inspiration from Palm Springs midcentury modernism, including Richard Neutra’s 1946 Kaufmann House and other icons photographed by Slim Aarons. “Everything about that era was spot-on,” says Greenwood, who strove “to make Barbie real through this unreal world.”
Her all-pink living area opens onto the swimming pool.

Neither she nor Spencer had ever owned a Barbie before, so they ordered a Dreamhouse off Amazon to study. “The scale was quite strange,” recalls Spencer, explaining how they adjusted its rooms’ quirky proportions to 23 percent smaller than human size for the set. Says Gerwig: “The ceiling is actually quite close to one’s head, and it only takes a few paces to cross the room. It has the odd effect of making the actors seem big in the space but small overall.”

Erected at the Warner Bros. Studios lot outside London, Barbie’s cinematic home reinterprets Neutra’s work as a three-story fuchsia fantasy, with a slide that coils into a kidney-shaped pool. “I wanted to capture what was so ridiculously fun about the Dreamhouses,” says Gerwig, alluding to past incarnations like the bohemian 1970s model (outfitted with trompe l’oeil Tiffany lamps) and the 2000 Queen Anne Victorian manse, complete with Philippe Starck lounge chairs. “Why walk down stairs when you can slide into your pool? Why trudge up stairs when you take an elevator that matches your dress?” Her own references ranged from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure to Wayne Thiebaud’s paintings of pies to Gene Kelly’s tiny painter’s garret in An American in Paris.
On the second floor, Barbie’s walk-in closet features toy-box display cases pinned with outfits.

For Barbie’s bedroom, the team paired a clamshell headboard upholstered in velvet with a sequined coverlet. Her closet, meanwhile, reveals coordinated outfits in toy-box vitrines. “It’s very definitely a house for a single woman,” says Greenwood, noting that when the first Dreamhouse (a cardboard foldout) was sold in 1962 it was rare for a woman to own her own home. Adds Spencer: “She is the ultimate feminist icon.”
A view of the Dreamhouse reveals the living and dining areas on the first level and the walk-in closet on the second.

In Barbie, as in previous films like Little Women and Lady Bird, Gerwig set out to realize a whole world. “We were literally creating the alternate universe of Barbie Land,” says the director, who aimed for “authentic artificiality” at every opportunity. As a case in point, she cites the use of a hand-painted backdrop rather than CGI to capture the sky and the San Jacinto Mountains. “Everything needed to be tactile, because toys are, above all, things you touch.”
Everything also needed to be pink. “Maintaining the ‘kid-ness’ was paramount,” Gerwig says. “I wanted the pinks to be very bright, and everything to be almost too much.” In other words, she continues, she didn’t want to “forget what made me love Barbie when I was a little girl.” Construction, Greenwood notes, caused an international run on the fluorescent shade of Rosco paint. “The world,” she laughs, “ran out of pink.”

Dear developers, make an attic and make it free😁🐆🐺🐾🐈. And in the attic – a surprise! There’s a little homeless cat sitting there! You have the choice to take her home or not to take her, the choice is yours!!!🐈🐱🐆

Cool idea 💡
Hello dear developers!!!👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼😁😁😁
I really liked the game 😻 !!!
And I read the messages and I really liked 🥰 one of them. About a free attic with a homeless cat. But I would like it to be Blisa,
and not a homeless cat 🐈 !😁☺️🐈 so that she comes by herself when you buy everything in a store where you can buy things, interior items, etc. for coins 🪙 that gives you game for completed tasks.
Namely, what I want for Blisa to appear: beautiful bowls (one for water 💧 and the other for food 🍗), outfits, toys (catnip ball with feathers sticking out of it, a mouse on a fishing rod and a mouse on the control panel) , a bath and a house with a scratching post.
When you wash Blisa you will have to feed her. And as you feed Blisa, Chelsea will come running to the kitchen.
After Chelsea appears in the dream house, you will need to equip her room for money 💵 165₽.
After you arrange Chelsea’s room, Stacey will appear with the puppies after the walk. The puppies will need to be washed in a bath, which you can buy in advance in the store for game coins. While you’re washing the puppies, Skipper will come and sit in the movie theater with popcorn. After you wash the puppies, they will come running to Skipper.
Then you will have to furnish the room for Stacey, Skipper and the puppies also for money 💵 256₽.
And a little more about paid and free.
Free: Please 🙏🏼 please make the pool free!🥺🥺🥺 At least for a week, and then it breaks and you have to buy Ken.
Paid: Please 🙏🏼 make it possible to buy all paid characters with their room and clothes that come with them.
And I send a BIG HELLO to all the developers 👋🏼!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!0005

Bought a small freezer 7.1 GE. Comes with a basket, but I wanted more. 2 came at the same price. They fit perfectly into the recessed handle on top of my freezer. The little freezer is deep at one end and I can’t reach the bottom. However, I store small items in a basket, and if I need to put something deeper into the freezer, I just take out the basket and take out the item. The lid closes securely when the basket is used correctly from above.

These days, printers come in all different price ranges, but it can still be a little challenging to find the best printer when you’re on a budget. However, you don’t need to break the bank to find good-performing printers at a reasonable price. Although printers often go on sale, we’ve chosen printers that have a low Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) rather than a low sale price so that even when there isn’t a discount available, they remain very affordable picks. Also, our picks aren’t always the absolute cheapest options, as those tend to have extremely low page yield, meaning you’ll likely end up paying more over time for replacement ink.
We’ve tested over 120 printers, and below are our recommendations for the best value printers you can buy. You can also check out our recommendations for the best printers with cheap ink, the best wireless printers, and the best home printers.

The best budget printer we’ve tested is the Brother MFC-J1205W, also known as the Brother MFC-J1215W at Walmart. It’s an all-in-one color inkjet model designed for general home use. You can connect to the printer via Wi-Fi or USB, and it supports Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service, so you can easily print from your smartphone without needing a third-party app. Scans are sharp and detailed, making it suitable for digitizing photos, and its lid hinges can extend to accommodate thicker items like books and magazines. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have an automatic document feeder, so scanning multi-page documents can take a while.
Printing-wise, this model produces high-quality documents as well as detailed and reasonably color-accurate photos. Unfortunately, a tradeoff for its budget-friendly price is its slow printing speed. It also lacks automatic duplex printing, meaning you’ll have to flip the pages manually when printing double-sided. On the bright side, you won’t have to worry too much about long-term maintenance costs, as the ink cartridges yield a large number of prints and are relatively cheap.
If you can afford to spend a little more, you may want to consider the Canon PIXMA G3260. Its feature set is similar to the Brother, but this printer has a refillable ink tank instead of ink cartridges. This high-capacity ink reservoir gives it a much higher page yield, making it even cheaper to maintain over time. However, its scanner doesn’t capture fine details as well as the Brother’s scanner.

If you find our budget pick too expensive, check out the Canon PIXMA MG3620, the best cheap printer we’ve tested. It’s a simple all-in-one inkjet printer designed for people who only print occasionally. We say ‘occasionally’ because this model has a black and a tri-color cartridge. It still produces high-quality black and color prints, but it runs out of ink quickly, so you’ll have to replace the cartridges often. Also, you’ll have to replace the tri-color cartridge even if only a single color runs out. It isn’t a cost issue, as the ink cartridges are fairly cheap; it’s just a lot of maintenance, and you might end up with lots of faded or incomplete prints.
The scanner performs well and produces very detailed scans; however, it lacks features like an automatic feeder and duplex scanning. You get Wi-Fi and USB connectivity as well as support for Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service, allowing you to print from iOS and Android devices without installing drivers or third-party apps. Overall, if you only print once in a blue moon for those one-off projects, this model can get it done. However, if you print more than that, you’ll be better off with a printer with a higher page yield, like our budget pick.

If you only print black and white documents, a monochrome laser printer might be a better option. We recommend the Brother HL-L2350DW, a variant of the Brother HL-L2325DW we’ve tested. There’s nothing wrong with the HL-L2325DW; it’s just a little hard to find right now, so the HL-L2350DW is your best bet since it performs almost identically, albeit with a slightly faster printing speed. It has the usual Wi-Fi and USB connectivity and is compatible with Brother’s mobile companion app, which you can use to print or perform maintenance tasks right from your smartphone.
It feels very well-built and produces sharp-looking documents quickly at up to 32 pages per minute. The toner cartridge yields about 1200 prints and is cheap, keeping maintenance costs low. Plus, since it’s a monochrome model, you only ever need to replace a single cartridge. You have to spend extra to replace the drum as it’s a separate unit, but the drum usually lasts about 12,000 prints, so you won’t have to do it all that often. Unfortunately, there’s no scanner, so you’ll need to look elsewhere if you digitize or copy physical documents regularly.
An alternative would be the HP LaserJet MFP M234sdwe. It’s usually more expensive, but it’s on sale at the time of writing, bringing it to roughly the same price as the Brother. It has more features, like an ADF-equipped scanner and Ethernet connectivity, and its toner cartridge lasts longer. However, it prints significantly slower at only 11 pages per minute.

If you want something cheaper than the Brother HL-L2325DW, get the Pantum P2502W. Like the Brother, this is also a print-only unit with no scanner. That said, its document print quality is outstanding, and its toner cartridge has a very high page yield of a little over 2000 pages. It prints pretty quickly at 23 pages per minute too. However, it takes a while to warm up and doesn’t support automatic double-sided printing.
Unfortunately, this printer tends to push printed sheets off the output tray, which can be inconvenient as you’ll have to rearrange your prints into the right order. This issue can also cause misaligned prints, wasting more time and paper. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s an inconvenience nonetheless. The Brother is a better choice if you want to save yourself the hassle. This model can get the job done; just be aware that you might occasionally run into problems.

Whether you’ve started to run low or are now completely out of ink, you can be in for a nasty surprise when it comes time to replace your cartridges or bottles. Some ink bundles can cost up to your printer’s original price, making refills costly. Printers themselves can also have a low page yield, so you’re stuck constantly replacing your ink cartridges if you want to keep printing, which can quickly add up over time. Additionally, finding a printer with cheap ink isn’t only about the cost of new cartridges but how cost-efficient their cartridges are over time. Generally, the most cost-effective printers are a bit more expensive, but dishing out the extra money is often worth it, thanks to the much larger page yields.
We’ve tested over 125 printers, and below are our recommendations for the best printers with cheap toner or ink you can buy, depending on your needs. You can also check out our recommendations for the best home printers, the best photo printers, and the best all-in-one printers.

The best printer with cheap ink we’ve tested is the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850. If you’re looking to save on ink costs, a supertank printer is the way to go; instead of expensive cartridges, printers of this type have a large ink reservoir that can be topped up with cheap bottles, with a full tank yielding thousands of prints. It produces very high-quality black and color documents and is fast, pushing out 25 black or color pages per minute. As for photos, they look detailed and colorful but a tad grainy. The scanner has an automatic document feeder, so you can quickly process long, multi-page documents and scan double-sided sheets, albeit in two passes. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB; you can also print directly off a USB flash drive.
If you want something similarly-designed but oriented more towards photo printing, get the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550, one of the best all-in-one printers with cheap ink we’ve tested. It has a wider color range and produces photos with less grain. Plus, it supports wide format paper sizes up to 13″ x 19″, which is great for making posters. However, it doesn’t have an ADF, prints slower, and its document printing quality isn’t quite as good as the ET-5850. You can get the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8500 variants if you don’t need wide-format printing. It performs identically but only supports up to 8.5″ x 11″ paper.

If you don’t need a premium model like the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850 above, get the Epson EcoTank ET-3850 instead, one of the best home printers with cheap ink we’ve tested. Like our top pick, it’s an all-in-one supertank model that yields thousands of prints with a full ink reservoir, keeping cost-per-print very low. It has the usual USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity options and support for Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service. As for its print quality, black documents look amazing, but color documents come out a little washed out. Its printing speed is decent, churning out 15 black or seven color pages per minute. Unfortunately, it lacks duplex scanning and isn’t ideal for photo printing, as printed pictures look grainy with inaccurate colors.

If you’re shopping for a printer cheaper than the Epson EcoTank ET-3850, consider the Brother MFC-J4335DW, one of the best printers for home use with cheap ink we’ve tested. Unlike the previously mentioned Epson EcoTank models, this printer uses ink cartridges. While the cartridges are pricey and result in a lower page yield than supertank models, this printer can still output roughly 2,000 black and 800 color prints, which is outstanding, and you can get XL cartridges that’ll last even longer. It prints quickly at 17 black or 15 color pages per minute and supports automatic double-sided printing. It also has a scanner with an ADF that can process up to 20 pages per minute and produces high-quality scans; however, it doesn’t support duplex scanning.

Our pick for the best budget printer with cheap ink is the Brother MFC-J1205W, also known as the Brother MFC-J1215W at Walmart. It’s very similar to our mid-range pick, the Brother MFC-J4335DW, but as it’s a more affordable model, it does come with some tradeoffs; it prints a little slower, and its scanner doesn’t feature an automatic document feeder. It also uses lower-yield, slightly cheaper cartridges than its more expensive stablemate. You can expect a maximum of roughly 1100 black and 750 color prints, which is still far more than most budget inkjet printers. It’s a good choice if you’re only looking for a budget printer with cheap ink and don’t mind losing some features.

The best color laser printer with cheap toner we’ve tested is the Brother MFC-L8905CDW. This all-in-one has nearly everything you’d need for a small or home office. It produces incredibly sharp documents, prints quickly at up to 32 pages per minute (black or color), and doesn’t need much maintenance. While the toner cartridges are expensive, they last a long time, so your maintenance cost will remain low. You do need to replace the drum separately, which is an added expense, but again, it isn’t something you need to regularly replace since it’s good for 30,000 prints. The scanner produces high-quality scans and can process documents quickly through its automatic feeder. It also supports single-pass duplex scanning, so you won’t need to manually flip the pages when scanning double-sided sheets.
Like most printers, the MFC-8905CDW has many variants at different price points, so if you don’t need features like duplex scanning and NFC support, you can save some money with a cheaper variant like the Brother MFC-L8610CDW. There’s also the Brother MFC-L8900CDW, which has nearly the same features as the MFC-8905CDW except for a smaller display. You can see more details about all the variants in the full review.

If you only print black and white documents, we recommend the Brother MFC-L2750DW. This well-built all-in-one model has a scanner with an automatic feeder to process multi-page documents, extendable hinges to accommodate thick items, and single-pass duplex scanning capability. It yields around 2000 prints from a single black toner cartridge, and you can get an XL cartridge that’ll last longer. It also accepts third-party toner. You have to replace the drum separately, but it’s usually good for about 12,000 prints, so you likely won’t need to do it too often. It warms up quickly and prints at 36 pages per minute.
As with most Brother printers, there are many variants of this printer with minor differences in features and performance, so if you want to save money, you can get a cheaper model like the Brother MFC-L2710DW, which lacks duplex scanning and prints slightly slower. You can also find bundles with a longer-lasting XL toner cartridge, like Brother MFC-L2690DWXL, which might be cheaper than buying the cartridge separately. You can see all the variants and their differences in our full review.

9 Most Economical Printers – 2023 Ranking
Having a personal printer at home is convenient. You can always print the necessary files, photos, scan documents in the case of multifunctional devices. But in addition to convenience, printers have a significant drawback – this is the high price of consumables. Our ranking contains the most economical printers in stores with the best customer reviews.
Contents
Ranking of the most economical printers
Manufacturers of printers and MFPs sell their equipment almost at cost. Because of this trick, it seems to the buyer that the price of printing files at home will be lower than when contacting a printer or other places where they can print a document. But keep in mind that the cost of home printing includes paper and ink cartridge. The cost of original consumables is unreasonably high so that equipment manufacturers receive excess profits, and the volume is significantly reduced for the purpose of frequent purchases.
There are economical printers on the market that use significantly less ink. These include models with long cartridge yields that exceed 2,000 pages. With a standard value of 600-1000 sheets, the user will be forced to constantly buy additional consumables, spending significant amounts. Also, one of the ways to save money is to buy devices with the ability to self-fill the toner cartridge. This is much cheaper than buying new toner every time it runs out.
We analyzed the types of economical printers on the market, studied customer reviews and expert reviews, and then compiled our own rating. When determining which printer is more economical, the following criteria were taken into account:
Technology;
Print format;
Ease of use;
Functionality;
Manufacturer;
The cost of the product, consumables.
All products listed are divided into categories according to the technology used. MFPs are included in a separate group. All of them are suitable for both home and office use.

How to choose the most economical printer
The choice of equipment begins with determining the installation location – home or office. Depending on the purpose, the requirements for equipment will vary. Using the advice of our experts, you can easily choose an economical printer.
Print Technology
Modern printers can work with laser, inkjet or LED technology. Inkjet devices are distinguished by their low cost, high-quality photo printing, and the possibility of CISS. They make an impression using liquid ink, which is supplied by special heads. The ink can be pigmented or water soluble.
Each color has its own individual capacity. Not suitable for large volumes of work due to the high cost of consumables, so it is better to use at home. It is also important to ensure that the ink does not dry out due to long periods of inactivity. It should be noted that when in contact with water, the ink will spread. Exposure to ultraviolet rays is negative. They make noise while working.
Laser printers are much more expensive, but they are more economical in terms of toner refills. One capacity is designed for more than 2000 text sheets. Refills with dye independently. The principle of operation is to imprint an image using a laser beam under the influence of high temperature. Powder paint is used – toner. LEDs work on a similar principle, only LEDs are used instead of a laser. They provide an important advantage – energy savings. Both are office options.
Print speed
Fast printout criterion is not as important for home devices due to less work. For long continuous printing in the office, it is better to choose models with a speed of 20 ppm.
Print size
Standard size – up to A4, which is enough for the home. Professional devices used in printing houses, design studios, advertising agencies require a larger, often non-standard format (for example, for printing on banners, advertising posters, business cards, leaflets).
User friendly
Paint pouring should be as simple as possible. It is good if the device has transparent windows through which the user can observe the amount of toner inside the container. An important criterion is the volume of the paper feed tray. On some photo printers, this can be increased by installing a larger capacity tray. The more sheets fit, the less the user will need to add it.
Additional criteria
Equipment is selected, among other things, by the company that produces it. Many brands are engaged in the production of printers, offering office equipment, laptops. The most famous are:

When choosing the most economical printer for supplies, consider the following:
The type of paper to print on. You also need to look at the criteria for sheet density. Glossy, matte types of sheets, special photo paper, film, envelopes are used.
Noise. Home should take devices that almost do not make noise.
Color or monochrome. If you want to print only text documents, it is better to choose a device for bw. Also, a monochrome printer uses less ink.
Dimensions. You need to choose in advance the place where the photo printer will be installed.
Duplex or 2-sided printing available. The device automatically prints on both sides of the paper without any additional settings on the part of the user.
Availability of scanner and copier. These are MFPs that allow you to copy documents, create scans of files. Buying an MFP is then more profitable in terms of space occupied.
The presence of a wireless connection to a smartphone, tablet, laptop.
Supported types of operating systems.

The 10 Pros and Cons of Using an External Keyboard
One of the plus points of using an external keyboard with your laptop is that it can offer a more ergonomic typing experience, which can be beneficial for those who type a lot. On the other hand, a con would be that it takes up more space on your desk, also making it difficult to carry around.
With such (and many more) pros and cons to consider, the decision to buy an external keyboard can be a difficult one to make. So, to help you reach a decision, it’s time to weigh the upsides and downsides of investing in an external keyboard.
The Pros Of Using an External Keyboard
Let’s start with some benefits of using an external keyboard with your laptop.
1. Fast and Ergonomic Typing
Laptops are designed to be compact and portable, which is why their keyboards are usually a little cramped. In addition, they have less key spacing and travel, and their layout is often compromised. All these qualities of laptop keyboards slow down your typing speed and make the overall experience more uncomfortable.
External keyboards, on the other hand, are typically larger, allowing better key spacing. You have the space to decide how much key travel you’re looking for, along with the keyboard type (mechanical, membrane, or chiclet).
2. Dedicated Numeric Keypad
A numeric keypad (or numpad) is a set of keys with numbers (from zero to nine) and mathematical operation buttons (+, -, *, and /). The keys are arranged in a rectangular form, compared to the linear arrangement in the number row. This arrangement makes the numpad feel and work like a calculator, which makes for easy and faster calculations.
Although they were more common back in the day, recent laptop keyboards don’t typically have numeric keypads (typically, you’ll be buying a 17″ laptop if you want one). If you have lots of mathematical/data entry work to do, an external keyboard with a numpad will suit you best.
But, even if you don’t, getting one will help speed up your everyday use as you can type numbers faster and more ergonomically.
3. Protects Main Keyboards
The best argument for buying an external keyboard is that it protects your laptop’s built-in keyboard from wear and tear, retaining some resale value. If you have sweaty hands and use your MacBook with them, you’re likely to inflict permanent smudge marks on the keys and palm-rest area.
Using an external keyboard protects this from happening. Another scenario where it’s useful is for users who like to have snacks while using their laptops. By using an external keyboard here, you can prevent drinks, grease, or crumbs from getting into your laptop’s built-in keyboard.
4. Replaceable
If you somehow break or damage your laptop’s main keyboard, you may have difficulty finding a replacement. However, external keyboards are different. For one, they’re more durable and can endure more damage. But, even if you end up damaging them (permanently, even), you can get a new one quickly, with a few clicks.
And even if you don’t damage it and simply want a different type, design, or style of an external keyboard, you can replace it. With the laptop’s integrated keyboard, this isn’t the case. You have to take the laptop to a repair shop, look for a spare keyboard if needed, and spend a lot more than what you’d have to spend in the case of an external keyboard.
5. Better Desk Setup
Having a beautiful desk setup is a thing nowadays—people compete to have the most stylish, minimal, and useful desk setup possible. The competition doesn’t limit itself to PC or desktop owners but to laptop owners too.
With the variety of external keyboards, you can pick the style you want based on your desk setup vision. Some mechanical keyboard manufacturers let you pick the type of mechanical switches and colors of keys you want and can go as creative as you can. Most built-in laptop keyboards don’t offer this flexibility.
6. Laptop Closed-Lid Mode
If you want to use your laptop in your desktop setup as your main computer with an external monitor, using an external keyboard will allow you to close the lid of your laptop and operate it with the external keyboard instead.
Using external keyboards for this purpose is common among Mac users, who call it “clamshell mode.”
7. Easier Cleaning
Keyboard keys get dirty easily—this is especially true for laptop keyboards. Plus, since they’re often too delicate (because of their chiclet mechanism), it’s hard to safely disassemble and clean them without damaging the laptop.
External keyboards are pretty much the opposite. You can quickly pull out the keys, clean them, and put them back in again.
The Cons Of Using an External Keyboard
Now, toward some drawbacks of using external keyboards.
1. Portability
External keyboards make your laptop setup somewhat less portable. You cannot carry your laptop in a sleek sleeve anymore and have to go with bags with pockets to accommodate the keyboard.
Things can be worse if you’re going with a wired keyboard, which isn’t as compact as some wireless external keyboards (like Logitech’s K380 and MX Keys Mini or Apple’s Magic Keyboard). The laptop bag has to be spacious enough to house the keyboard and its wire.
2. More Desk Space Required
External keyboards take up considerable desk space, depending on their size. Therefore, they may not suit you if you have a more compact or minimal setup. Alternatively, if you don’t have a setup and usually use your laptop from your bed or couch, using an external keyboard would not be ergonomic and, instead, be quite challenging.
On average, you will need at least a 15 x 5-inch space to fit a compact keyboard, like a Keychron K2, on your desk. Before you buy an external keyboard, check out our keyboard size guide to understand what size would be right for your desk. It’s easy to buy a keyboard that’s either too small or (mostly) too big.
3. Additional Investment
Another “con” of adding an external keyboard to your setup is that you’ll have to spend extra to get one. Such a keyboard can cost you anywhere between $25 and $200 on average, depending on how much you’re willing to spend.
Budget boards like Logitech K380 and G213 Prodigy cost between $25 and $50.
Mid-range keyboards like Logitech MX Keys Mini, Keychron K3, and Keychron K2 cost between $75 and $100.
Higher-end keyboards like SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL Ghost and Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad cost upwards of $150.
4. Battery Replacement
If you’ve picked a wireless external keyboard, it will need battery replacements occasionally. Of course, even rechargeable keyboards will need a battery replacement, but it will be after a while—in which case, it might just be better to replace the whole keyboard.
External Keyboards Are Worth It
The drawbacks of an external keyboard are mostly hard-sells. Battery replacement and spatial issues—although they’re not negligible either—are rare occurrences. And most budget keyboards are so good that you don’t need to spend more than $50 in most cases.
So, it’s clear that external keyboards are worth it. Let’s now see whether you should get a Bluetooth or a wired one. It may sound counter-intuitive, but a wired keyboard may be better because Bluetooth keyboards are not great for gaming and may cause pairing issues.
Best External Keyboards for Remote Work and Travel
Nowadays, many jobs depend on high-quality hardware. Besides, if you spend hours in front of your laptop, you might consider upgrading it with additional gadgets.
But will an external keyboard be on the list of must-have laptop add-ons?
Probably not at first. A mouse seems a far more necessary thing to purchase, especially considering that most people prefer an external mouse over a touchpad.
However, if you look deeper into the functionality of a separate keyboard for a laptop, your mind might change.
So, what are the perks of external keyboards? And which ones are the best?
Let’s find out the answers.
What Is an External Keyboard?
An external keyboard is a device that can be attached to your laptop or computer using a wired or a wireless connection.
Separate keyboards usually have additional functions, such as numpads and multimedia buttons. You can also pick a keyboard with illuminated buttons for a fancier look.
4 Types of External Keyboards
Today, there is no shortage of choices when it comes to picking an additional keyboard. Let’s take a look at the four most common types and figure out their pros and cons.
1) Wired keyboard
Credit: Amazon
A wired keyboard connects to your laptop via a wire. It is one of the most common and old-fashioned keyboard types.
Wired keyboards have the following advantages:
Durable. Such keywords usually last longer than average and are compatible with both laptops and PCs.
No need for batteries. A wired keyboard charges from your laptop.
Affordable. You won’t have to spend an arm and a leg on a wired keyboard.
At the same time, there are some important disadvantages to consider:
Poor portability. A chord can get damaged during transportation.
Usability limits. Such keyboards can only be used within the length of the wire.
Thus, a wired keyboard is the best external keyboard if you’re on a budget. However, if the cord gets damaged, it’s hard to fix it. So, if you’re traveling a lot or have a pet at home who likes chewing on cords, a wired keyboard might not be the best option.
2) Wireless keyboard
Credit: Amazon
Wireless keyboards do not need a cord to connect to a laptop or computer. They are easier to travel with and are perfect if you want to reduce clutter.
You can find wireless keyboards of two types:
Bluetooth keyboards
USB keyboards
A Bluetooth keyboard for a laptop does not need any mediating device to connect to your gadgets. All you have to do is turn on Bluetooth on your computer, locate the keyboard, and connect to it. It is also compatible with smartphones and tablets.
A USB keyboard for a laptop needs a USB port to connect to your computer (like in the image above). It can’t connect to devices other than your PC or laptop, but it is also a perfect space-saver.
All wireless keyboards have the following undeniable perks:
Portable. If you’re often traveling for work, a wireless keyboard is the best option.
Versatile. You can connect a wireless Bluetooth keyboard to other devices aside from a laptop.
Ergonomic. Wireless keyboards are compact and make your workspace look organized.
On the other hand, you also need to take the following pitfalls into account:
You’ll need to change batteries once in a while.
A USB port can easily get lost during transportation.
Also, if you’re working in a location with multiple Bluetooth-dependent devices, wireless Bluetooth keyboards can start lagging and experience interference, which can be disorienting.
3) Split keyboard
Credit: Amazon
We’ve covered external keyboards by connection type, and now let’s discuss some unusual keyboards you can purchase as add-ons to your laptop.
Take a split keyboard, for example. It’s a device that consists of two parts connected by a wire, while a regular keyboard is a monoblock.
Split keyboards are more popular among gamers, but you can also use them as a portable keyboard in addition to your computer. It has the following benefits:
Reduced ulnar deviation. Ulnar deviation is the most common reason for carpal tunnel syndrome. A split keyboard allows you to put your hands in a more relaxed position, easing the blood flow.
No forearm pronation. This syndrome increases pressure on your forearm muscles, causing soreness. Split keyboards are adjustable, meaning that you can place them at an appropriate tenting angle and reduce the risks of forearm pronation.
You can choose between keyboards with a fixed or adjustable split. However, such devices take some getting used to and can be easily damaged. If something happens to the cords connecting the two keyboard pieces, the device becomes unusable.
4) Foldable keyboard
Credit: Amazon
If you like fancy gadgets, this piece of art is for you. A foldable keyboard has the same functions as a regular one, but you can fold it into a roll. Such devices are also powered by Bluetooth or use USB ports.
Is this innovative gadget worth your money?
Foldable keyboards are definitely a fantastic addition to your laptop. They are futuristic, ergonomic, and easy to travel with. At the same time, they are also quite expensive. So, if you’re on a budget, go for a wired or wireless keyboard.
Membrane or mechanical keyboard—which one is better?
When googling the external keyboards, you might have encountered the terms ‘mechanical’ and ‘membrane’. But what do they mean?
A membrane keyboard uses a silicone or rubber keypad. All the keys are integrated into this keypad, and when you press them, there is very little to no tactile feedback. Such keyboards have a few considerable benefits:
Quiet typing
Greater portability
More affordable
In a mechanical keyboard, you can remove each keycap since they are all independently attached. Such keywords are more common and have the following advantages:
Appropriate travel distance
Durability
Greater tactility
Effortless cleaning
So, which one should you buy as a separate keyboard for your laptop?
Opt for a mechanical keyboard if you’re typing a lot during the day. They might be a bit louder than membrane keyboards, but the key travel distance is more comfortable.
Bluetooth or USB—which keyboard is faster?
Latency is a crucial factor when choosing the right keyboard. It refers to the speed with which the keyboard transfers the typed text onto the screen.
An external USB keyboard is a better option from this standpoint. It transmits information quickly through the USB port without any distortions.
However, a Bluetooth-powered keyboard can lag, especially if you have many other Bluetooth devices connected to your computer (such as headphones). So, if latency truly matters to you, opt for a USB keyboard.
Why Do You Need an External Keyboard for a Laptop?
Alright, we’ve figured out that there’s no shortage of separate keyboards for laptops. But why do you need one anyway?
Due to a rapid shift to working remotely, many people had to adjust and adapt to the circumstances. To make your work environment more comfortable, you need appropriate hardware, and a keyboard is one of the crucial devices.
On the other hand, many jobs also involve traveling, and, to keep doing your job on the go, you need a particular set of gadgets, and a keypad is on that list too.
Here are some other reasons why you should consider buying an external keyboard.
1) Improve your posture
Have you noticed the way you sit in front of your laptop? Chances are, you change your pose numerous times a day, and most of the time, your posture is probably suffering.
According to Mayo Clinic, here is the proper way of sitting in front of a laptop/computer:
Credit: Mayo Clinic
How can a separate keyboard help here?
Indeed, an external keyboard for a laptop is not the ultimate posture fixer, but it can help in the following ways:
You can adjust its position in any suitable way.
It’s possible to put your laptop on a stand to make it meet eye level.
You can change the device’s tilt.
With a portable keyboard, it’s possible to regulate howy you sit behind your desk during the day. It’s good for your posture and your eyes.
2) Get rid of carpal tunnel syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome is the feeling of pressure in your wrist. It happens because a nerve in your hand gets damaged, which causes pain and numbness in your fingers.
We already mentioned that some keyboards could help you reduce or even get rid of carpal tunnel. A split keyboard, for instance, allows you to position your hands at an appropriate length, relaxing your arms and shoulders and decreasing pressure on your hands.
3) Make typing more convenient
Let’s be honest— most laptop keyboards are terrible and have very little travel distance.
In our article on the best laptops for remote work, we briefly spoke about key travel and how it can cause typos. However, minimal key travel can also lead to spasms in your fingers and hands.
Apart from that, if you choose an external keyboard over a laptop keyboard, you won’t have to deal with the heat coming from the processor, which is conveniently located underneath the buttons. It causes the keyboard to get warm, which might feel distracting.
4) Clean your keyboard with ease
Have you ever tried to clean the laptop keyboard? It’s a total nightmare. Besides, you can damage it easily if you don’t know what you’re doing.
If you opt for a separate keyboard, you won’t have to deal with this problem. It’s easier to remove the buttons and clean the device. Laptop keyboards usually need to be professionally handled, which can be quite pricey. It’s also very dangerous to clean a laptop keyboard since you can’t detach it from the computer.
5) Maintain your laptop’s value
A keyboard is the first thing that gives away your laptop’s condition. So, if you’re planning to sell your device one day, you need to preserve the keyboard’s original state.
Purchasing a detachable keyboard solves this problem, and you get to keep all the buttons in a perfect state. All you have to watch out for is the dust, but you can let the cooling pad take care of that.
Top 7 External Keyboards for Laptops
Now, let’s review some of the best external keyboards for laptops on the market. On our list, you will spot both wired and wireless keyboards and even a foldable one. We’ve got a pick for every taste.
Take a look.
1) Apple Magic Keyboard
Credit: Amazon
Best for Apple MacBook
Membrane
Bluetooth
If you’re a fan of Apple products and own a Macbook Pro or Air, this device is for you. It’s a Bluetooth keyboard for a laptop with a numeric pad. All appreciators of membrane keyboards will love this gadget—it’s sturdy but feels light at the same time. The keys are easy to press and have a perfect travel distance.
Apple Magic Keyboard is powered by Bluetooth, meaning that it’s wireless and runs on a battery. It pairs with all Apple devices (not just a Mac computer), making it a perfect keyboard for travelers.
The main downside to this device is that it’s flat, which can put a strain on your hands and wrists while typing. It also doesn’t have a backlight, so it can be hard to use this keyboard when it’s dark.
What about the price?
The Apple Magic Keyboard is quite costly—$129. Also, the battery life might be an issue and you’ll have to carry an additional one just to keep the keyboard running
2) Logitech K380
Credit: Amazon
Perfect for Apple devices
Membrane
Bluetooth
Logitech K380 is a small external keyboard. It doesn’t have a numeric pad, but it’s perfect for those who spend the whole day writing texts. You will enjoy the feel of this membrane keypad–it is built using high-quality materials, and all keys have a good travel distance.
Even though this keyboard doesn’t have an incline setting and a wrist rest, it is still ergonomic. It has a slight tilt (unlike Apple Magic Keyboard), so your wrists will feel comfortable.
Since Logitech K380 is a Bluetooth keyboard, it runs on a battery. The manufacturer claims the battery lasts two years, but it is still a concern. There is also no backlight. Other than that, Logitech K380 is quite versatile and pairs with all Apple devices. It is also lightweight, making it the best travel keyboard for a laptop.
Is this device costly?
No. Compared to Apple Magic Keyboard, Logitech K380 is far less expensive and costs $25.49.
3) Logitech MK120
Credit: Amazon
Great for Lenovo, Asus, and all Linux-powered devices
Mechanical
Wired
If you’re a fan of old-school keyboards, Logitech MK 120 is a perfect choice for you. It is a wired keyboard that connects to your laptop via a USB port. It is also a mechanical keypad – all buttons are connected individually, making the entire device easier to clean.
Logitech MK120 is also an excellent ergonomic external keyboard for a laptop. It has two levers to increase the incline, helping you position your hands on the keypad the way that is comfortable for you.
If you relocate often, you might not find this device very handy, as the wire might get damaged during frequent transportations. However, this keyboard pairs with most laptops and is also very affordable—you can buy one on Amazon only for $18.
4) Dell Wired Keyboard
Credit: Amazon
Any Linux- and Windows-powered device
Mechanical
Wired
Another wired keyboard pick comes from Dell. Although it might seem like this gadget would only work for Dell computers, it pairs with any laptop other than iOS-powered ones.
This is a wired mechanical keyboard with many ergonomic features. It has levers to manage the keypad’s tilt, and the travel distance of the keys is optimal for typing. The manufacturer claims this device has been optimized for gamers, but it is suitable for any activity. Programmers will find it quite handy since it comes with a numeric pad.
Nevertheless, traveling with a keyboard like this might not be convenient. It’s pretty bulky and won’t fit an average-size laptop-friendly backpack. But if you primarily work from home, this device is perfect for you.
Is the Dell Wired Keyboard expensive?
No, the prices start at $15, so it’s a budget-friendly device.
5) Logitech Ergo L860
Credit: Amazon
Pairs with Linux-, iOS, and Windows-powered computers
Membrane
Wired, wireless
Logitech Ergo L860 is a perfect pick for ergonomics geeks. It is a fixed split keyboard with a pillowed wrist rest for an optimal position of your hands while typing. This keypad is available both as wired and wireless, so it serves every taste.
If you need a travel keyboard with a numeric pad, this device is a wonderful choice. It is slim and compact. You can buy an additional case to prevent any scratches or damage. The only downside is that you need 2 AAA batteries for it to work, but it won’t be an issue if you buy a wired version.
How much does Logitech Ergo L860 cost?
This device is on the more expensive side – $160. However, if you value comfort while working, it is worth your investment.
6) Samsers Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard
Credit: Amazon
iOS-, Android-, and Windows-friendly
Membrane
Bluetooth
Are you looking for a foldable wireless keyboard for a laptop? Consider Samsers Bluetooth Keyboard. It is a wireless keypad that you can fold in half and take around everywhere you go. If you’re an introvert working a marketing job, you’ll like this device—it is versatile, compact, and won’t take much place in your backpack, so you can use it to work from any location.
What about ergonomics?
We can’t say this is the best option for those who enjoy comfy typing. This keyboard is relatively flat, which can put a strain on your wrists. Besides, it has no backlight, which is not good if you work in a poorly lit room.
Other than that, you will be pleased with this keyboard. It connects to laptops, tablets, and smartphones and can even fit in your pocket. It also has an auto wake/sleep feature which helps avoid draining the batteries.
Is it costly?
The prices start at $30, which is not expensive for a wireless foldable keyboard.
7) Logitech K480
Credit: Amazon
Connects to Linux, Windows, and iOS gadgets
Membrane
Bluetooth
The last pick on our list is also from the Logitech family. Logitech K480 is a wireless, Bluetooth-powered keyboard that pairs with laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
The characteristic feature of this device is a switch that allows you to use up to three devices at once. It is built with high-quality materials and is great for writers and programmers, who will enjoy the optimal travel distance of the keys.
If you’re looking for the best travel keyboard for a laptop, look no further– Logitech K480 is the best option available on the market. It’s ergonomic and lightweight. You can also use an integrated cradle that holds a tablet or a smartphone at the right angle.
What about the price?
Logitech K480 costs around $25—the best price for a separate keyboard for a laptop packed with so many useful features.
Which External Keyboard is the Best for Writers?
Content writers might find a separate keypad for a laptop very helpful. If you have to craft extensive texts for work, choose an independent keyboard over a laptop one to make typing easy on your hands and wrists.
Which type is better?
Consider a keyboard with an average travel distance. It doesn’t matter whether it’s membrane or mechanical, but it should be comfortable pressing the buttons.
Also, both wired and wireless keyboards will work fine, so make a choice based on the nature of your work. For instance, if you are in digital marketing or content marketing and your job involves a lot of traveling, a wireless (USB or Bluetooth) keypad is a great pick.
Should you splurge on a foldable wireless keyboard for a laptop?
Absolutely. It is easy to carry around and will fit in your carry-on. But watch out for the quality—the membrane in such devices can get easily damaged.
These are the most comfortable keyboards for typing:
Logitech K480
Logitech Ergo L860
Apple Magic Keyboard
Copywriters will enjoy the Logitech K480 – it is the most budget-friendly option.
What Are the Best Separate Keyboards for Programmers?
Developers don’t really need an external wireless keyboard for a laptop unless they are on the road. A wired keypad is a better option, especially if you create or test video games.
Also, opt for a device with a numeric pad if your tasks involve entering numbers. You can even purchase a numeric pad separately, but it’s more convenient when a keyboard already comes with it.
What about a split or a foldable keyboard for a laptop?
A split keypad is a great choice for programmers, writers, and anyone who uses this device a lot. It’s ergonomic and helps your posture. As for the foldable keypads, this is a matter of personal choice, but they have the same functions as regular keyboards.
Consider these devices for coding:
Logitech Ergo L860
Apple Magic Keyboard
Logitech MK 120
Dell Wired Keyboard
If you don’t need a keyboard for programming but enjoy a numeric pad only, the Macally Bluetooth Number Pad is great.
Over to You
As you can see, an external keyboard for a laptop is a helpful add-on. It can transform your workplace and make it more ergonomic. At the same time, it helps improve your posture and feel more comfortable at your desk in general.
We’ve given you seven keypads to choose from. But which ones would our community of digital marketers call the best?
Logitech Ergo L860 and Logitech K480, for sure. They are versatile and compatible with any device. Logitech K480 is a more affordable option but opt for Ergo L860 if you do a lot of typing during your workday.

How to connect a keyboard to a laptop
The compact laptop has built-in keys for entering information. Like any other type of computer equipment, the laptop supports other devices connected to it, including an external keyboard. During the operation of the device, there are moments when this opportunity has to be used. For example, the letter designations on many laptop keys have been erased, or the keyboard simply does not work, partially or completely. How to connect a keyboard to a laptop, what options for connecting peripherals the owner has, as well as solving problems that arise, read the material of the article.
Contents
Types of keyboards
The options for connecting a conventional keyboard to a laptop computer are determined by the type of peripheral device. The procedure for connecting to a laptop depends on the type of keypad selected by the user. The modern market offers the following types of keyboards:
wired;
wireless.
Wired keyboard connects to a laptop (as well as a desktop PC) via a USB connector . A peripheral device with such a connector is called a USB keyboard.
Note! The descriptive name for the device has been introduced since the days when keypads with a PS / 2 connector were used for desktop computers. Since 2013, these devices have been gradually phased out. So connecting a keyboard from an old-style computer to a laptop will not work without purchasing a special adapter, which is almost impossible to find.
Wireless keyboards are available with the following connection interfaces:
via USB radio channel;
via Bluetooth.
Accordingly, methods for connecting devices via wired and wireless interfaces differ.
How to connect a wired device
Most often, laptop owners choose a wired device as a second keyboard. As a rule, there are practically no problems with its connection. The device is presented in all price categories, from budget to expensive gaming “keys”.
To activate external peripherals, do the following:
Find a free USB port on the laptop case.
Then insert the USB plug into the port. If there are several connectors, any one can be used for connection.
Wait for the operating system to detect new hardware.
The process of installing drivers in Windows 10 or another version of the OS is carried out automatically, after which the system reports that the new hardware is ready for operation . In some cases, you may need to manually install drivers. Self-installation is not much different from installing programs on a computer, since it is done using the built-in Wizard utility.
Tip! The necessary software can be downloaded from the official website of the peripheral manufacturer or from the disk that comes with the device.
How to connect peripherals with a USB receiver
“Keys” without wires are easy to use. You can control your laptop from a distance, and the wires do not get tangled at hand. The package of such peripherals includes USB radio sensor .
Important! Batteries are required to connect the wireless keyboard to a laptop (sold separately).
Further actions are performed in the following sequence.
Insert the batteries into the appropriate slot on the device, turn the switch to the “On” position.
Connect the radio sensor to a free USB port.
Wait for the system to install new hardware and report that the keyboard is ready for use.
Connecting an external device with a built-in Bluetooth module
A remote keypad equipped with a built-in Bluetooth module does not look much different from a keyboard with a radio module – it simply does not have an external radio sensor . To connect a bluetooth keyboard to a laptop, just follow a few steps.
Check for the presence of charged batteries in the power supply compartment of the device and turn on the device.
Activate Bluetooth mode on the laptop (how to perform this operation can be found in the instructions for a specific computer model).
You will have to wait for some time until the laptop OS detects new hardware connected via Bluetooth and installs the drivers. Next, you need to follow the prompts of the wizard until the device is ready for synchronization.
Synchronize laptop with installed keypad.
Troubleshooting
When using an external input device, a number of problems can occur that affect the device’s performance. When the keyboard does not connect to the laptop and refuses to work correctly, you should identify the cause and fix it.
Important! The user of the remote keypad needs to take care of the periodic replacement of the batteries. A common reason for the lack of communication between the laptop and external “keys” can be discharged power supplies.
If the laptop does not see the keypad connected via the USB port, the reason may be a connection failure:

10 pros and cons of using an external keyboard • Oki Doki
One of the benefits of using an external keyboard with your laptop is that it can offer more ergonomic typing, which can be helpful for those who work a lot. prints. On the other hand, the disadvantage is that it takes up more space on your desk and also makes it difficult to carry around.
With these (and many other) pros and cons, the decision to buy an external keyboard can be difficult. So, to help you make your decision, it’s time to weigh the pros and cons of buying an external keyboard.
Benefits of using an external keyboard
Let’s start with some of the benefits of using an external keyboard with your laptop.
1. Fast and ergonomic typing
Notebooks are designed to be small and portable, so their keyboards tend to be a bit cramped. In addition, they have less key spacing and key travel, and their placement is often compromised. All these qualities of laptop keyboards slow down the speed of typing and make the overall experience more uncomfortable.
Windows programs, mobile applications, games – EVERYTHING is FREE, in our closed telegram channel – Subscribe 🙂
External keyboards, on the other hand, are usually larger, which provides better distance between the keys. You have the opportunity to decide what kind of key travel you need, as well as the type of keyboard (mechanical, membrane or island).
2. Dedicated numeric keypad
The numeric keypad (or numeric keypad) is a set of keys with numbers (from zero to nine) and math operations buttons (+, -, *, and /). The keys are located rectangular, compared to the linear arrangement in the number row. This arrangement makes the numeric keypad look like a calculator, making calculations easier and faster.
Although they were more common in the past, modern laptop keyboards usually don’t have a numeric keypad (typically you buy a 17-inch laptop if you want). If you need to do a lot of math/data entry, an external keyboard with a number pad will suit you best.
But even if you don’t, it will speed up your daily use as you can type faster and more ergonomically.
3. Protects main keyboards
The best argument for buying an external keyboard is that it protects your laptop’s built-in keyboard from wear and tear, saving some resale value. If you have sweaty hands and use them on your MacBook, you are likely to leave indelible marks on the keys and palm rest area.
Using an external keyboard protects against this. Another scenario where this is useful is for users who like to grab a bite to eat while using their laptops. By using an external keyboard here, you can prevent drinks, grease, or crumbs from getting on your laptop’s built-in keyboard.
4. Replacement
If you somehow break or damage your laptop’s main keyboard, you may have difficulty finding a replacement. However, external keyboards are different. First, they are more durable and can withstand more damage. But even if you end up damaging them (even permanently), you can quickly get a new one, with just a few clicks.
And even if you don’t damage it and just want a different type, design, or style of external keyboard, you can replace it. This is not the case with the built-in laptop keyboard. You will have to take the laptop to a repair shop, look for a replacement keyboard if necessary, and spend a lot more than with an external keyboard.
5.
Best Desk Setup
Beautiful desktop design is a thing these days: people compete to have the most stylish, minimal, and useful desk setup. The competition is not limited to PC or desktop owners, but also to laptop owners.
With a variety of external keyboards, you can choose the style you want based on your idea of desktop setup. Some mechanical keyboard manufacturers allow you to choose the type of mechanical switches and key colors you want, and you can get creative. Most built-in laptop keyboards don’t provide that kind of flexibility.
6. Laptop lid closed mode
If you want to use your laptop as a desktop computer with an external monitor, using an external keyboard will allow you to close the laptop lid and use the external keyboard instead.
The use of external keyboards for this purpose is common among Mac users, who refer to it as “clamshell mode”.
7. Easy clean
Keyboard keys get dirty easily, especially laptop keyboards. Also, because they are often too fragile (due to their island mechanism), they are difficult to safely take apart and clean without damaging the laptop.
External keyboards are pretty much the opposite. You can quickly take the keys out, clean them and put them back in.
Disadvantages of using an external keyboard
Now about some disadvantages of using external keyboards.
1. Portability
External keyboards make your laptop setup somewhat less portable. You can no longer carry your laptop in a sleek case and must carry bags with keyboard pockets.
Things can get worse if you’re using a wired keyboard that isn’t as compact as some wireless external keyboards (such as the Logitech K380 and MX Keys Mini or Apple Magic Keyboard). The laptop bag should be large enough to fit the keyboard and cable.
2. Need more desktop space
External keyboards take up a lot of desktop space, depending on their size. Therefore, they may not be suitable for you if you have a more compact or minimal installation. Alternatively, if you don’t have a setup and usually use your laptop from a bed or couch, using an external keyboard would be unergonomic and, on the contrary, quite difficult.
On average, you’ll need at least 15″ x 5″ of space to fit a compact keyboard like the Keychron K2 on your desk. Before you buy an external keyboard, check out our keyboard sizing guide to see what size is right for your desk. It’s easy to buy a keyboard that’s either too small or (in most cases) too big.
3. Additional investment
Another con of adding an external keyboard to your setup is that you have to spend extra money to get it. A keyboard like this can cost you an average of $25 to $200, depending on how much you’re willing to spend.
4. Replacing the battery
If you have chosen a wireless external keyboard, the battery will need to be replaced from time to time. Of course, even rechargeable keyboards will require a battery replacement, but this will happen after a while – in which case it may be better to replace the entire keyboard.

One-minute review
Eufy might be a smart home company, majoring in the best video doorbells and home security cameras besides robot vacuums, but unlike some, making easy-to-use products is its USP. So it comes as no surprise that one of its entry-level models, the RoboVac 11S, is devilishly simple to use. There’s no app, no WiFi control, no voice control – just a charging station, remote control, and a sleek, slimline vacuum cleaner.
This isn’t to say it’s a basic appliance. If anything, much of its simplicity comes from a thoughtful design and an excellent balance of functionality – there’s enough flexibility to be able to switch between spot, overall and perimeter cleaning, and three power levels, but not so many options that it’s overwhelming. A programmable timer means you can quite easily set it and forget it.

Should I buy?
Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S at Amazon for $110. 99
The other reason to choose RoboVac 11S is that it’s Eufy’s slimmest RoboVac at 2.8 inches / 7.25 cm tall, enabling it to sneak under beds and other furniture to keep dust bunnies at bay. And even with its shorter stature, there’s still a 0.15-gallon / 0.6-litre dust canister hidden inside.
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is effective at collecting fine dust and larger debris from hard floors, but struggles to give medium and thick pile carpets an effective deep clean. Eufy claims the robot vacuum will last for 100 minutes between charges, but this is in Standard mode on hard floor.
There’s also a BoostIQ mode that cycles between high and low power when the robot vacuum switches between carpet and hard floors, but this knocks the battery life down to 60 minutes, while when used in Max Mode the battery lasts just 50 minutes. All of this means that if it’s presented with particularly dusty or dirty larger floors, it may run down before the job is done.
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is the ideal robot vacuum for newbies and technophobes. It’s effective at light daily cleaning of large areas but doesn’t come with a raft of features that can complicate the robot vacuum, making it more complicated to use.
Eufy RoboVac 11S price and availability
List price: $219.99 / £189.99 / AU$229
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is priced at $219.99 / £189.99 / AU$229. It’s available to buy now in the US and UK from Eufy or Amazon, while in Australia, it’s available at Kogan.com.
The Eufy RoboVac 11S Max, which offers more powerful suction is available in the US and UK for $249 / £239.99 respectively but isn’t available in Australia. Aside from power, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is very similar in terms of features, size, and dust capacity.
0.15-gallon / 0.6-litre dust box
3 power levels and 4 cleaning modes
Anti-scratch tempered glass-top cover
The Eufy RoboVac 11S is anything but chunky. It’s a mere 2.85 inches / 7.25cm off the floor, meaning that it can scoot under low furniture, and is also light enough to carry from room to room if required, at 5. 73lb / 2.6kg. The charging station is similarly compact at 6.5 inches / 16.5cm wide, with a recess at the back for storing excess cable. Like many robot vacuums, you’ll need some clearance against a wall at either side of the charging station, but the station itself is so small that this should be easy.
Its design is pared-back – there’s a single button on top to wake it up (an on-off switch sits underneath the unit for a more permanent turn-off), tempered black glass surface, and infrared sensors at the front to help it steer clear of obstacles.
Underneath, you’ll find a pair of counter-rotating side brushes twinned with a 14.5 cm rolling brush. The 0.15-gallons / 0.6-liter dust box simply slides out from the back of the robot vacuum, but there’s no warning light when it’s full – we found the best way to know when it needs emptying, is if it isn’t picking up as well as usual.
From the box, it’s easy to get it up and running – clip on the side brushes, charge it up and you’re ready to go. There are five different cleaning modes; Auto, which ensures the robot vacuum pottles from room to room cleaning as it goes, as well as Spot for cleaning for specific areas, and Edge for 20 minutes of perimeter wall cleaning. These are joined by Single Room, which unsurprisingly will clean just one room, and Manual, where you can use the directional buttons on the remote to tell it where you want it to go – back, forward, right, or left.
The Eufy 11S also offers three power levels – Standard, BoostIQ, which uses a mix of Standard and Max when moving between hard floors and carpet, although this only works in Auto or Single Room cleaning mode, and Max.
Setting a schedule for cleaning is easy as it’s a case of choosing the hour and minute you’d like it to start using the remote control. The only downside is that there’s no option to clean every other day or twice a day but a daily vacuum should suffice for most. It comes with an extra set of filters, two additional side brushes, and even some cable ties so you can clip power cords out of its way.

Performance
Adequate suction for most jobs
Quiet in use
Takes a random path around the room
If it’s larger particles that often litter your home, the Eufy RoboVac 11S can handle them. It picked up dry oats from both a medium-pile carpet and a hard floor with ease, with no need to resort to the higher settings. Finer dust made from flour and cookies was also no problem for it on a hard floor but when it came to picking that up from the carpet, the RoboVac 11S struggled. Even the Max suction setting couldn’t pull it out from the fibres once it had been trampled in by wheels running over the surface.
The RoboVac 11S’s cleaning pattern doesn’t always look logical – sometimes it’ll go in straight lines, sometimes seek out the edges of a room, sometimes it’ll want to travel in circles – but this random path of Bounce Navigation results in the entire room being cleaned, even if it can take some time. It wasn’t always that good at moving around objects – low-level things seemed to fox it the most, such as deep-pile rugs, piano pedals and pet food bowls.
While we had vacuumed before testing, the Eufy RoboVac did still manage to pick up other dust, pet dander and human hair from the edges of our rooms, although the latter tended to tangle around the rolling brush. The rotating brushes didn’t gather any dirt but a few of the bristles were bent or twisted slightly by the time we’d finished testing, so it’s a good idea to check on the condition of these regularly to maintain efficient cleaning.
It’s not especially noisy while in use – our decibel meter measured 55db when cleaning hard floors on the Standard mode, rising to 60db in Max. This is the equivalent of the sound a dishwasher makes mid-cycle, which is more than acceptable.
There’s no alert when the dust box is full, so you’ll need to remember to empty it or watch for when it doesn’t do a great job. The box is simple to empty though – it slides out with a button push, flips open and dust can be tipped out in one motion. Finer dust tended to clump in the corners, but this could be brushed out with the cleaning tool provided. This also serves for cleaning the rolling brush and filters, which is a weekly job.
Battery life
Ranges from 50 to 100 minutes
Battery takes around 5 hours to recharge from empty
No battery level indicator
As mentioned, Eufy claims the battery will last 100 minutes on standard cleaning, and during our testing, it actually outdid this by lasting 105 minutes before its light turned from blue to orange and it trundled back to base to recharge.
However, we were disappointed there’s no battery level indicator that offers more detailed stats about just how much charge remains. That said, the battery took 4.5 hours to fully recharge, which is speedier than the claims made by Eufy.

Should I buy the Eufy RoboVac 11S?
Buy it if…
You want a simplistic robot vacuum Fairly low maintenance and with enough functionality to be useful without being complicated, the Eufy RoboVac 11S is a robot vacuum for those who value simplicity over everything else.
You want a budget-friendly vacuum While it’s not so cheap as to doubt its quality, the Eufy RoboVac 11S is far cheaper than many competitors, making it a smart buy if you’re on a budget.
You favor light daily vacuuming over weekly deep cleans While the Eufy RoboVac 11S picked up larger particles, it struggled with fine dust on a carpet, making this a better model for those with hard floors or everyday cleaning.
Don’t buy it if..
Your home is quite crowded While the Eufy RoboVac 11S was good at scooting under furniture, its sensors didn’t always pick up things in the way, meaning it got stuck a few times.
You want cleaning on demand The Eufy RoboVac 11S’s lack of app or voice control means you either need to set a daily schedule using the remote control or be in the house to set it going – there’s no way of doing it from your smartphone on your way home.
You don’t want to have to keep remembering to empty it Unfortunately, the lack of a ‘dust box full’ alert means you’ll have to check when the Eufy RoboVac 11S needs emptying rather than relying on it to tell you.

RELATED: Best Robot Vacuums of 2023
Our Verdict
Short of decent edging performance and a thorough job of spot cleaning, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim is a rather unexceptional robot vacuum in a world of much more intelligent and capable machines. In particular, this model seems to lack many convenience features. There is no app, a lack of ability to set virtual barriers, no accessory life tracking, no history report, no repeat functions, and no cleaning map. Lastly, the lack of a dust removal system will require you to maintain this robot more than it will likely maintain your house. If you’re going to invest in a robot vacuum, we recommend looking at others in our top robot vacuum review.

Our Analysis and Test Results
The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim finished at the back of the pack, exhibiting overall below-average performance, with no particular feature or function deserving of an accolade. It lacks navigational intelligence and convenience features, and while inexpensive, it isn’t worth the money considering the many better alternatives. To see how well it performed compared to its peers, check out our best robot vacuums article.

Performance Comparison
To determine the scores for each robot and to see which ones merit an award, we purchased all the most promising and highly rated robots and rated and scored their performance in a set of head-to-head challenges. The results of the Eufy are shown below, split into six rating metrics, each weighted based on their overall significance.
The Eufy navigating through our room of simulated furniture.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Navigation
For this group of tests, we look for robots that can successfully navigate the various types of furniture and obstacles typically encountered at home without becoming stuck, as well as ones that can quickly and efficiently return to their charging base when commanded. These all account for 30% of the overall score.
This model handled our furnished room poorly. It frequently got stuck during testing and bounced around furniture before stumbling to freedom. This model also doesn’t come with poo-avoidance, so we don’t recommend it to those with puppies in training.
The Eufy easily cleared our fake coffee table.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
This robot struggled to locate its docking station. It failed to follow the systematic method of driving home, bouncing around aimlessly until it eventually headed towards its base.

Home Coverage
For this metric, comprising 20% of the total score, we assessed how much of your home each robot can clean, as well as its ability to clean multiple rooms, spot clean, and whether or not the software includes no-go zones where you don’t want the robot to clean. The Eufy delivered a lackluster set of results.
This vacuum tended to get stuck in our furnished room tests, overcleaning some areas and entirely omitting others due to its erratic navigation. It has no barrier system, so you will have to construct a physical barrier across areas you want to be left alone.
The Eufy heading back under the couch.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
The spot clean on the Eufy is surprisingly above average; working in spirals, it does a great job of cleaning — one of the best we’ve seen.
The before and after spot clean of the Eufy.
Credit: Austin Palmer
Unfortunately, this vacuum will only really clean a single room at a time and will not automatically return home and recharge if the battery tanks. You can try having it clean multiple rooms, but its semi-random nature means that its sporadic home coverage will become even worse the larger the area it is tasked to clean.
Lastly, the Eufy does a really good job of thoroughly cleaning against edges, leaving only a fine residue of coffee grinds behind, as exhibited in our edging test.
The Eufy ready to vacuum.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Carpet Cleaning
For our carpet cleaning metrics, we looked at how well each robot vacuum can suck up all kinds of typical household messes. This metric is responsible for 15% of the total score.
The Eufy edge cleaning on carpet.
Credit: Austin Palmer
The Eufy did do a decent job of cleaning rice, performing above average on both low-pile carpets and fluffier, high-pile carpets. It only left behind a couple of grains in both cases. Oatmeal was a bit more of a struggle, with a lot left behind in the flat carpet test and even more residual on the fluffy carpet.
The Eufy was slightly above average at picking up rice on carpet.
Credit: Austin Palmer
We used mini-wheats and flour for our last two tests to see how the Eufy can handle large and small debris. It struggled in both tests on low and high-pile carpets, failing to pick up cereal and making an even bigger mess by grinding the cereal down slightly. It was also unable to lift flour from our carpet and seemed to lack the power to ever accomplish the task.
The Eufy ready to pick up some more rice.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Hard Surface Cleaning
The Eufy RoboVac 11+ performed identically in our Hard Surface Cleaning metric. We used a section of hardwood laminate flooring for these tests, which are also worth 15% of the overall score.
The Eufy did an acceptable job cleaning rice and a surprisingly good job of cleaning oatmeal, only leaving a little behind, and mostly in the form of dust settled down into cracks.
The side brushes on this vacuum would fling oats around.
Credit: Austin Palmer
When challenged with flour, it pushed most of it around rather than collecting any of it. It just is not powerful enough to lift flour from deep in the cracks between the boards.
The Eufy faired better at cleaning up flour on hard surfaces.
Credit: Austin Palmer
Finally, it failed to collect any mini-wheats, lacking the clearance to drive over them and merely plowing them around instead.
The Eufy performed very poorly at picking up pet hair.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Pet Hair
Our Pet Hair metric is worth 10% of the overall score, with the Eufy RoboVac delivering an average performance. We spread out pet hair on a test carpet, with the Eufy picking up about 20% of the pet hair used in the test.
The Eufy doesn’t have any smart features.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Convenience
The Eufy also fared poorly in our final metric, which is responsible for the last 10% of the overall score. It lacks the majority of features and functions that enhance its usability and convenience and are now standard among its peers.
This robot has no app and lacks the ability to set virtual barriers, has no accessory life tracking, no history report, no repeat functions, and no cleaning map. The only thing it does have is a handheld remote.
Unlike other more capable and convenient models, the Eufy 11S has no dust removal system, meaning it will require emptying the onboard dust collection compartment with much more frequency than more convenient models.
The Eufy is a much more simplistic model.
Credit: Jenna Ammerman
Should You Buy the Eufy RoboVac 11S?
The Eufy RoboVac 11S might work if you live in a small studio, but it will probably disappoint for anything beyond that. We do not recommend buying this robot vacuum.
What Other Robot Vacuums Should You Consider?
If you are considering the Eufy RoboVac 11S because of its price tag, don’t let it fool you — this model is not worth the money. For an overall balance of performance and value, consider the exceptional Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid, or for the most intelligent robot money can buy, consider the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
