MacBook deals have never been better. Although there are no major holidays on the horizon, practically every Mac laptop is on sale right now. MacBook deals can be found at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo this week. And we expect prices to remain low as Apple has just announced its new MacBook Air 15 and lowered the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air’s price to $1,099 (retailers are offering it for much less).
That said, if you spot a deal you like — our advice is to jump on it immediately because stock tends to run out fast. If you don’t see the listed sale price, try checking different color models for hidden deals. (For more deals, make sure to follow our best Apple deals guide). Also, make sure to check out our guide on the best Apple coupons and best MacBooks for college students.

The 2023 MacBook Pro 14-inch packs Apple’s new M2 Pro silicon, which outperforms most of today’s flagship laptops. (It can also be configured with the M2 Pro Max). In our MacBook Pro 14-inch 2023 review, we called it the world’s best laptop. It offers an incredible battery life of over 14 hours. The base model includes a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display (3024 x 1964), M2 Pro 10-core CPU w/ 16-core GPU), 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The 2022 MacBook Pro sports a 13.3-inch Retina display (2560 x 1600), Apple’s new M2 CPU w/ 10 core GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. In our MacBook Pro 13-inch M2 review, we said it delivers mind-blowing performance and an epic 18:20 battery life. It’s only $50 off, so we recommend waiting till it’s at least $100 off. (It’s dropped to $1,049 in the past). By comparison, B&H Photo has it for $1,099.

MacBook Air 15 (M2/256GB): for $1,299 @ Amazon

MacBook Air (M1/256GB): was $999 now $799 @ Amazon
The MacBook Air offers fantastic performance thanks to its Apple Silicon. The M1 CPU also helped it reach over 14 hours on our battery test. It features a 13.3-inch Retina display, Apple M1 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. It’s no longer Apple’s flagship, but it’s a solid deal at this price.
Refurb MacBook deals
Refurb MacBook Pro 13″ (M1/256GB): was $1,299 now $1,059 @ Apple
Although it’s been discontinued, the MacBook Pro with Apple’s M1 chip still delivers solid performance. Even better, the system lasted over 16 hours in our battery test. This refurb includes a 1-year warranty. (Apple refurbs are among the best in the industry).
How to find the best MacBook deals
Amazon and Best Buy tend to offer the best MacBook deals. The MacBook Air M1 and the MacBook Pro M1 tend to see from $50 to $250 off discounts. However, we’ve noticed that Amazon offers slightly better MacBook sales that its competitors. For instance, the M1 MacBook Air has dropped to $799 a few times at Amazon. Even the M2 MacBook Air has seen $200 off discounts at Amazon.
If you’re looking for MacBook Pro deals — you’ll want to look at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo. The 14-inch MacBook Pro has hit $1,599 a few times at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H. The 16-inch model has also seen $400 off discounts at Amazon. (It briefly hit $1,999 a few times at Amazon). These short-lived deals are the best prices we’ve seen for these MacBooks to date.
It’s also worth noting that sometimes pricing varies based on what color MacBook you choose. So when shopping, we recommend clicking on different colors to see if there are hidden discounts.

Best place to buy a MacBook or Mac
Want to buy a new MacBook or Mac? We’re here to help you get the best deal and the best service. We’ll point you in the direction of where is best to buy your new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini or Mac Studio, whether that’s Apple’s own store, a third-party seller, or even refurbished or second-hand if you want to save some money.
In this guide, we have sections for each of Apple’s Macs in which we will point you to the best retailers for those products. We will also share tips that should help you find the best deal on a new Mac.
If you’ve yet to decide which Mac you want to buy, don’t forget to take a look at our complete Mac buying guide first.
Where to buy a MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro range includes the most powerful laptops made by Apple. The MacBook Pro line up includes the following:
- 13in MacBook Pro with the 8-core CPU/8-core GPU M1 chip, from £1,299/$1,299.
- 14in MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro (or M1 Max) chip, from £1,899/$1,999.
- 16in MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro (or M1 Max) chip, from £2,399/$2,499.
Those starting prices are what Apple sells the MacBook Pro for, but they aren’t necessarily the prices you will have to pay – many resellers discount even the newest MacBook Pro models, or you might find one that has a deal on an older MacBook Pro.
With that in mind, be sure to check which model you’re getting when buying from anywhere other than Apple (which generally stocks only its newest devices, unless you’re shopping from the
Apple Refurbished Store – read about
why you should buy a refurbished Mac). Many of the biggest discounts are on older models that lack the M1 chip instead featuring an Intel processor. If you spot a processor marked Core i3, i5 or i7 you are looking at an Intel-powered Mac.
Our advice would be to choose one of Apple’s newer Macs that are powered by its own silicon – the M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, or M1 Ultra. We recommend this because the Intel processors and graphics options being used in older Macs just can’t compete with these new options. Also it is likely that Apple won’t continue to support these older Macs for many more years.
Even if you are happy to buy an Intel Mac you should make sure you look closely at the specs to ensure that the price is reflective of the age of the Mac. We’ve seen resellers claiming a huge discount on a discontinued Mac as if it’s the price Apple sells it for now, but in reality you might be able to get a new Mac that is even more powerful for a similar price. To be sure about what you are buying take a look at the latest deals we round up in our
best MacBook Pro deals round up.

Where to buy an iMac
On to desktop Macs now, starting with Apple’s most famous Mac – the iMac. First introduced in 1998, causing shock waves in personal computing, the iMac is now incredibly thin yet manages to house everything it needs behind its gorgeous display.
You can get the iMac with a 24in display with varying specs that’ll change the price and power. When the iMac first went on sale there were a lot of stock shortages for the new model, which comes in a variety of colours and features the M1 chip. Stock now seems to be at more reasonable levels and we are seeing some deals on the M1 iMac. See:
Where to buy 24in iMac with M1.
The iMac range includes:
- 24in iMac with 8-core CPU/7-core GPU M1, 256GB SSD: £1,249/$1,299.
- 24in iMac with 8-core CPU/8-core GPU M1, 256GB SSD: £1,449/$1,499.
- 24in iMac with 8-core CPU/8-core GPU M1, 512GB SSD: £1,649/$1,699.
Apple was also selling a 27in iMac until March 2022 when that model was discontinued (at least for now – read:
27in iMac discontinued, but not necessarily dead). Despite the 27in iMac not being sold by Apple anymore you will probably find discounts and deals for that model as resellers sell off stock. Just keep in mind that it will be Intel-powered and that it’s days will almost certainly be numbered in terms of support (Apple generally supports Macs for five years from the point that it stops selling them).

Where to buy a Mac mini
The Mac mini is Apple’s compact desktop computer, that offers great value for money and great specs.
The Mac mini range includes:
- Mac mini with 8-core CPU/8-core GPU M1, 256GB SSD: £699/$699.
- Mac mini with 8-core CPU/8-core GPU M1, 512GB SSD: £899/$899.
- Mac mini with Intel 8th generation i5, 512GB SSD: £1,099/$1,099.
As you can see from the above, the Mac mini still has an Intel option on offer. We don’t expect that this will be the case for long. If you really need an Intel Mac then this is a good option simply because Apple is still selling it, so at least it should be supported a little longer than the Intel Macs that are off sale now.

Best Places to Buy Refurbished MacBooks with Problems Fixed
You Can Have a Mac and MacBook Cheap from Apple Refurbished Store and Other Retailers, But Should You Buy a Refurbished Mac? This can be a great way to save money on a Mac with new hardware specs, but there can be risks. Here’s what you need to know, including the best places to buy refurbished Macs and MacBooks that have all issues fixed.
If you’re considering a Mac, especially if you’re on a budget, we recommend buying a refurbished Mac rather than paying full price.
Apple makes great computers, but they don’t come cheap. Even if you’re happy to pay the price for an iMac or MacBook Pro With the new base version, you may painfully realize that for a few hundred extra dollars, you can get a more powerful model. But can you justify the extra expense? Luckily, this isn’t necessary because you can often find a previous generation model on sale with better specs than the cheapest new model, and you might be able to buy it for a lower price.
When choosing a laptop Reliability is important, especially if you plan to use it as your main device. Apple is one of the most successful hardware manufacturers in the world due to its commitment to designing powerful hardware and delivering the best user experience.
As a result, Apple computers are known to last a long time. If you want to try out an Apple device without paying full price, you can opt for a refurbished Mac instead.
With that in mind, here are the best places to buy a refurbished MacBook.
1. Apple Certified Refurbished
As a manufacturer of macOS laptops, Apple is best placed to repair it. The company realized this and quietly launched its online store. Certified Refurbished. Many refurbished devices have been returned to the company through retail stores and online stores. This may be as part of an exchange program, after it has been reported as having some defects, or simply returned after purchase.
As a result, the range of refurbished units available may vary. Regardless of the reason, the company inspects and tests every product and replaces all necessary components with genuine Apple parts. In fact, you can buy a device with new features at a reduced price. This is not the only way of saving money on Apple devices. over there Other discounts On Apple devices, you can take advantage of this too.
Despite its many advantages, Apple products have a bad reputation. Also in regards to its special components. If your iPhone’s screen has ever been damaged and had a third party replace it, you may have noticed it while using it. Apple devices can detect when you are using unofficial parts, which can affect performance, operation, and even your warranty.
Buying from an Apple Certified Refurbished Store gives you the confidence that your MacBook will perform just like it did when it was brand new. To bring even more attention to these devices, these refurbished devices come with Apple’s standard one-year warranty and 90-day technical support. 2. Mac of all trades
There are many benefits to buying from an Apple Authorized Refurbished Store, but you won’t find much money there to save. A reliable and respected alternative is the Mac of all trades. Even the presence of the company predates the age of the Internet; He opened his first store at 1995, and in 2002 he switched to working on the Internet.
While this is interesting information, you might think that it is not necessary. However, we include background here because reputation is paramount when buying refurbished equipment. Used language can be confusing. It is noted here that OWC primarily sells used MacBooks. This means that these devices have been used and thoroughly tested.
However, unlike certified refurbished notebooks, the components used are not thoroughly inspected and tested. In most cases, it should be assumed that the equipment used is sold “as is”. This does not mean that there is something wrong with the components used. In fact, they are often available at a huge discount.
However, shopping through OWC is better than buying any used device. Since the company specializes in computer upgrades, you can customize your used MacBook. After selecting a model, options appear related to the size of the hard drive, the amount of memory, and the outer cover of the device you are using.

TOP 7 Best Apple MacBooks in 2023
If you are wondering which MacBook to choose and buy for yourself? You have entered the address. We take a look at the best Apple MacBook models to date and rank them.
Choosing the best MacBook is no easy task, especially now that Apple is releasing new MacBook Pro models with completely new processors and different designs. Apple’s M1 chips are now joined by the M1 Pro, M1 Max and M2, the MacBooks we know are changing.
01/28/2023 Update
A new 2023 model has been added to the ranking of the best Apple MacBooks.
But if you take a closer look at the best MacBooks, you’ll see that different models will be needed for different tasks. There are certain reasons why many will want to pay more for an M2-based MacBook Pro, and in 2021 14- and 16-inch systems, you have the choice between the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
And now that Apple has released the new 13-inch MacBook Pro 2022 and MacBook Air 2022, we have several new Apple laptops with the M2 chip vying for a place in this ranking.
What is the best MacBook right now? Apple’s
MacBook Air equipped with the M1 has long held the top spot on our list, but it has just been dethroned by its successor, the MacBook Air M2 (2022) . This new laptop is more expensive, but packs a lot of power compared to the previous model. Not only that, it also has a new design similar to 2021 MacBook Pro .
That being said, the MacBook Air with M1 is still a solid machine. The Apple M1 chip makes it faster than we ever expected from the Air, and its energy efficiency ensures a much longer battery life, over 14 hours on a single charge.
The best premium MacBook is the 14-inch MacBook Pro (M2 Pro/Max 2023) . With extensive customization options and top-tier Apple processors, this is a MacBook with more power.

- High performance M2
- Impressively long battery life
- 1080p webcam
Min. mustache
- Screen notch is a bit distracting
- SSD slower than MacBook Pro M2
- Supports only one external monitor
The MacBook Air M2 truly deserves the name Air. And we’re not saying the previous MacBook Air M1 was bad — it helped introduce the world to the power of Apple’s chip.
The new MacBook Air is a breath of fresh you-know-what, and that’s because Apple has paired an even faster M2 chip with a noticeably thinner and lighter design. This 1.24kg laptop and using it is reminiscent of the iconic original Air that Steve Jobs pulled out of a manila envelope 14 years ago.

MacBook Air has always been the best MacBook for most people, but now it’s even better than ever before. Apple’s decision to replace Intel processors with its own Apple Silicon, starting with the M1 chip in the MacBook Air, is bearing fruit. 14 hours 41 minutes of battery life is the best result for a MacBook Air. Plus, the M1 delivers insanely fast performance, so fast you can run serious games without any problems.
The MacBook Air’s webcam has also been updated, as the M1 chip provides signal processing for improved clarity and color accuracy. And of course, the Magic Keyboard is still here, which contributes to a comfortable typing experience. Dolby Atmos sound support means some movies and TV shows will sound better than before. The MacBook Air isn’t just the best MacBook for the average Apple user, it’s closer than ever to being the king of laptops.

13-inch MacBook The Pro 2022 is the first Apple M2 laptop to hit the market. While the design hasn’t changed, Apple promises a big jump in performance whether you’re editing photos or videos or running multiple apps at the same time.
And in tests, the M2 chip delivers performance that outperforms competing Windows laptops. The M2 also greatly outperforms the M1 chip in various benchmarks. Plus, the new MacBook Pro 2022 delivers the longest battery life we’ve ever seen on a modern laptop, with over 18 hours on a single charge.
However, although this notebook uses Apple’s new sip, the design shows its age. You get the same form factor, the same ports, the same display, and the same webcam. Meanwhile, the new MacBook Air 2022 offers a larger display with thinner bezels, a 1080p webcam, and a thinner and lighter design.

MacBook Pro 14-inch 2023 is one of the most powerful portable laptops you can buy, and that’s thanks to Apple’s new M2 Pro chip, which delivers even faster performance than the previous M1 Pro chip. Whether you’re editing photos, transcoding videos, or multitasking with a dozen apps, the new MacBook Pro can handle any workload with ease.
This laptop scored best in class in multiple tests including Geekbench, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and video transcoding. If you need even more performance, the optional M2 Max chip offers significant graphics acceleration thanks to a 38-core GPU. According to independent testing results, you can even play demanding games like Resident Evil Village with flawless graphics and smooth frame rates.
9The 0002 version of the M2 Pro laptop lasted a whopping 14 hours in an independent battery test, beating most Windows laptops. The M2 Max version ran 12:51, which is also a very good result.
You get the same great 14″ mini LED display as the previous M1 Pro, an amazing 6-speaker sound system, and a comfortable keyboard and touchpad. Also, the 1080p camera is a little better. The HDMI port now supports displays up to 8K resolution, and you get an SD card slot.
Throw in faster Wi-Fi 6E and you have an almost perfect laptop for creative professionals, though we’d love to see a touchscreen option and the addition of Face ID.

2021 MacBook Pro (14-inch)
Best MacBook for people who need more ports

Processor: Apple M1 Pro or Max with 10-core processor
GPU: 16 to 32 cores, integrated GPU
RAM: 16 GB to 64 GB
Memory: 512 GB to 8 TB SSD
Weight: 1.61 kg
Pros
- Surprisingly fast
- Beautiful screen
- Fantastic battery life
Cons
- No USB-A ports
The 2021 14-inch MacBook Pro is the Mac you need to get if you have: 1) budget and 2) need for more ports. Its new Liquid Retina XDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate is great. Your favorite movies and everything else will look better. Oh, and the new M1 Pro chips (and the more expensive M1 Max) deliver more speed than ever before while still delivering all-day battery life.
On top of that, Apple has brought back MagSafe charging, an HDMI output, and an SD card reader to the MacBook Pro. This means you don’t need to bring a USB-C cable with you to connect to a display or use external storage. However, USB-A is still out and we are beginning to realize that Apple has no plans to bring it back. Other notable changes include getting rid of the Touch Bar (which never proved its worth) and replacing it with physical F1-F12 keys. Apple has also improved the internal webcam to 1080p from 720p. The 2021 MacBook Pro definitely feels like a professional laptop again.

Cons
- Screen not 4K
- Expensive with M1 processor Max
Want more? Then you can check out the monstrous 16-inch MacBook Pro, equipped with M1 Pro or M1 Max processors for amazing performance. This model is an upgrade from the previous Intel-based model. It features thinner bezels to make more room for the gorgeous Liquid Retina XDR mini LED screen. Once you step over the threshold, you will be amazed by its contrast and smoothness, especially with the 120Hz refresh rate.
On top of that, you get the return of the ports that professionals need. It’s not only a security-focused MagSafe 3 charging port, but also an HDMI output for connecting to displays, an SD memory card reader, and for connecting the camera’s memory cards themselves. Oh, and don’t think that MagSafe rules out USB-C charging: the MacBook Pro’s trio of Thunderbolt 4/USB4 ports are also powered. On top of that, you have a 1080p webcam, three improved microphones, and a great six-point speaker system.

13-inch MacBook Pro with M1
Best MacBook with long battery life

CPU: Apple M1 8-core GPU
GPU: Apple M1 8-core GPU
RAM: 8 GB to 16 GB
ROM: 256 GB to 2 TB SSD
Weight: 1.36 kg
Pros
- Great general and gaming performance
- Great battery life

Cons
- Not enough ports
- Thick bezels
The M1 MacBook Pro takes everything we love about the M1-based MacBook Air and then kicks it up a notch or two. In the battery test, for example, it lasted a whopping 16 hours and 32 minutes, beating the M1 Air (14:41) by almost 2 hours.
On top of that, the 434.8 nit MacBook Pro display is brighter than the 365.8 nit Air display. And in the Handbrake video transcoding test, it converted a 4K movie to 1080p in 7 minutes and 44 seconds, beating the already fast MacBook Air in 9:15.
Other benefits include Dolby Atmos sound, improved webcam video quality (thanks to the new M1 signal processing chip), a crisp 2560×1600 pixel Retina display, and support for iOS and iPadOS apps. And don’t forget the Magic Keyboard, which is a real pleasure to type on.
How to choose the best MacBook Air
A few simple tips to help you make the right choice.
Performance
If you know you won’t push your laptops to the limit, get a MacBook Air and an entry-level model. Its 8-core M1 chip and 8GB RAM will surprise you with its speed. Upgrade this RAM to 16GB if you keep a lot of apps open at the same time. Those running more demanding applications will either want to get the M1 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM or consider getting an Intel-based MacBook with 32GB of RAM. The new M2-powered MacBooks are a cross between the original M1 MacBooks and the M1 Pro and M1 Max laptops.
Graphics and gaming
For the M1-based MacBook, you get either a 7-core or 8-core integrated GPU, and we’ve seen amazing results with the 8-core version. The MacBook Pro with M2 processor ships with 10 GPU cores as standard. So upgrade if you want to play on your Mac. Yes, you can now play serious video games on Mac. It’s impressive.
Size and weight
The only differences between the 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro are the Air’s wedge shape and slightly lighter weight. The MacBook Pro (1.36kg for M1, 1.41kg for Intel) is heavier than the 1.27kg MacBook Air. No wonder the 16-inch MacBook Pro, which weighs over 1.95kg, best for those who either don’t mind the weight in their bag or don’t move around that often.
