Soundcore by anker life q35 review: Anker Soundcore Life Q35 review
Anker Soundcore Life Q35 review
Anker has made a name for itself in various affordable consumer electronics markets. Under the Soundcore name, the company is now attempting a coup in the audio industry with premium features at a fraction of the cost of the competition. The Anker Soundcore Life Q35 are the company’s latest flagship over-ear headphones, and they pack as many features as possible into a sub-$200 headphone.
Let’s see if the quality holds up to the competition or if your money is better spent elsewhere.
Editor’s note: this Anker Soundcore Life Q35 review was updated on June 6, 2023, to expand the Alternatives section. We also ensured all information is current and matches our style guide.
About this review: We tested the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 over one week. SoundGuys purchased the unit for this review.
World travelers will appreciate the long battery life, noise cancelation, and included airplane adapter that all come with the Q35. These headphones will serve more than globetrotters: remote workers can benefit from multi-device pairing and decent microphone for conference calls.
What is it like to use the Anker Soundcore Life Q35?
The adjustable headband and rotating ear cups allow for a custom fit.
Anker prioritizes function over form with the Anker Soundcore Life Q35, focusing on travel and portability. These headphones swivel and fold into the included hardshell protective case, which also stores a pouch for the USB-C charging cable, 3.5mm cord, and an airplane adapter.
Built from a plastic construction, the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 aren’t rated for any level of sweat- or water-proofing. While they don’t feel like they’ll fall apart anytime soon, they’re not nearly as sturdy as ones with some level of metal construction. Don’t expect these to last forever if you are tossing them around your backpack every day.
If you’re looking forward to being able to travel again soon, you may want to consider the Anker Q35 as your headphone travel companion.
The memory foam ear pads aren’t as thick as other headphones we’ve tested, and combined with a strong clamping force, they can make wearing the Life Q35 uncomfortable over time. The ear pads don’t breathe particularly well, resulting in warm ears even in an office setting. You won’t want to wear them too long on a hot summer day.
One of the most useful features of the headset is the auto-play/pause function, which detects whether or not the headphones are being worn. This feature has appeared on premium headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM4, but it’s rare at this price.
Is the Soundcore app any good?
The Soundcore app offers a premium experience that elevates the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 above many other Bluetooth headphones in this price range. Upon downloading it, you’ll get a prompt to update to version 1.20, which improves LDAC performance, EQ, call quality, and smart-wearing detection. An app that pushes firmware updates like this one is critical for performance improvements and device longevity.
The Soundcore app features an equalizer within the device settings, which lets you set a custom EQ profile or select from several presets. The app also comes with a free music streaming service courtesy of Lüm, with many playlists to test out headphone settings. There’s even a sleep mode that can play ambient nature sounds for a set period.
As with most software, Anker collects data through the Soundcore app. The Soundcore privacy policy may be worth a read, especially concerning voice data collection and third-party integrations.
How do the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 connect?
A 3.5mm headphone jack is present for wired listening when needed.
The Life Q35 use Bluetooth 5.0 with support for SBC, AAC, and LDAC, Sony’s lossless Bluetooth codec that is theoretically capable of up to 990kbps, along with 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Res playback. In our testing, however, this is not the case for LDAC. Any device running Android 8.0 or later supports LDAC, though you can manually switch to SBC or AAC in your Android phone’s developer settings.
It is quick and easy to pair the headphones to multiple devices, although audio can only be played from one source at a time. Anker included NFC pairing inside the headphone, so all it takes is a single tap to pair to Android phones.
For assistance with the pairing process, download the Soundcore app on the device you are trying to pair to. The Anker Soundcore Life Q35 automatically enter pairing mode when you power them on. Simply find the headphones in your Bluetooth settings.
After connecting to the first device, double press the power button on the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 to manually re-enter pairing mode, then look for the headset in your Bluetooth device settings.
How long does the battery last on the Anker Soundcore Life Q35?
The Life Q35 can easily make it through a full week without needing to be charged.
The battery life on these headphones is exceptional. Anker claims the battery lasts 40 hours per charge, but in our battery test with music playback peaking at 75dB(SPL) and ANC on, the headphones lasted 52 hours, 21 minutes. The headphones also support fast charging, which Anker says can achieve a 4-hour charge in only 5 minutes. In our testing, after only 5 minutes of charging the headphones were up to 20%, enough to power through a full day of regular use.
How well does the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 cancel noise?
The solid pink line shows passive noise isolation, while the dotted line shows attenuation with active noise cancelation turned on.
With a bevy of noise canceling modes and features, the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 can adapt to nearly any environment. A single button on the back of the left ear cup switches between passive isolation, active noise cancelation (ANC), and transparency modes. Without ANC turned on, the tight seal with the clamping force of the headphones blocks out most high-frequency sounds above 1kHz.
Turning on ANC attenuates most ambient sounds below 1kHz reducing them to one-half or one-quarter loudness. This is adequate performance for over-ear noise canceling headphones, but it doesn’t quite compete with top performers in the category, such as the Monoprice BT-600ANC.
The Anker Soundcore Life Q35 is one of the most functional and utilitarian headphones you can find in the budget over-ear headphone category
Within the Soundcore app, there is an option to select between transport, indoor, and outdoor active noise cancelation modes. Each mode has a different amount of noise cancelation at different frequencies, based on what Anker feels is important for a given setting. The “outdoor” mode has the strongest active noise cancelation, and most listeners will prefer this.
The transparency mode works great for hearing surroundings. The tap-to-talk feature quickly activates transparency mode for a conversation by simply holding the right ear cup for one second.
How does the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 sound?
These are some bassy headphones.
Sound quality on the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 headphones is what you would expect from an affordable consumer headset. Out of the box, there is a strong boost in low-end frequencies below 150Hz that bass-heads will appreciate.
Throughout “Peaches” by Justin Bieber, the kick drum and bassline are present in the Life Q35 headphones. However, this strong bass emphasis means that vocals and backing synth instruments are hard to discern and don’t come through quite as clearly as they would on studio headphones.
For the best sound quality and frequency response, you should plug the Q35 into your smartphone.
Since there is an option for a custom EQ setting within the Soundcore app, it is possible to create a much more accurate sound from the Life Q35 with some tweaking. Or you can go wild and crank the bass even more, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Can you use the headset for phone calls?
Accepting calls with the Life Q35 headphones is as easy as a press of a button.
The microphone on the Life Q35 is more than good enough for taking calls on the go or having quick meetings. Anker states that the beamforming microphones on the Life Q35 use an AI algorithm to detect voice without unwanted noise. We didn’t run into any problems with the microphones while testing, though you can listen to the microphone test for yourself and let us know what you think.

Should you buy the Anker Soundcore Life Q35?
The Anker Soundcore Life Q35 are some of the most functional and utilitarian headphones in the budget over-ear headphone category. Multiple noise cancelation modes, full customization through the Soundcore app, and exceptional battery life make the headphone a great companion for nearly any lifestyle.
If you enjoy advanced features and customization, you’ll likely be satisfied with the Life Q35.
The headphone falls short in performance, with sound quality and noise cancelation that leaves a lot to be desired. Anker doesn’t have much experience in the premium headphone market, and it shows. The Life Q35 look, feel, and perform much more like the company’s other more affordable headphones than premium offerings from Sony or Bose.
If you plan on traveling a lot, or if long battery life is essential to you, by all means, pick up the Anker Soundcore Life Q35. Others should look around the competition or wait for a price drop before jumping on them.

What’s the difference between the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 and Soundcore Life Q35?
With its plastic build, round ear pads, and Soundcore logos, the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 ($149.99 at Amazon) are a close relative of the Life Q35. The Q45 modestly improve upon the Life Q35 as they have better battery life (55 hours, 48 minutes), support for Bluetooth 5. 3, and a slightly more modern design. Bluetooth 5.3 means the Space Q45 may support LE Audio and the LC3 Codec when the time comes.
The Q45 will provide a generally more pleasing sound right out of the box, but you can EQ either headset from the Soundcore app. You’ll probably want to do this to reduce the sub-bass bump on the Q45 anyway. Interestingly, the ANC is nearly identical between the Life Q35 and Space Q45 headphones. If ANC is your top priority, save some cash and go with the older Life Q35.
Reasons to get the Soundcore Space Q45 instead of the Life Q35: Bluetooth 5.3 and future support for the LC3 Codec, better battery life, and a solid microphone system that rejects background noise. Listeners who don’t care about that will otherwise be happy with the older Life Q35 headphones.
What are some alternatives to the Anker Soundcore Life Q35?
The ATH-M20xBT typically sell for about $70.
Anker’s other headphone models may provide better value for many people. Most prominent is the Life Q30 ($79.99 at Amazon), which bring a nearly identical design with Bluetooth and ANC.
The Monoprice BT-600ANC ($69.99 at Amazon) have Bluetooth 5, incredible active noise cancelation, and touch controls for less than the price of the Life Q35. The biggest drawback of the BT-600ANC is the lack of a companion app for firmware updates or EQ tweaking. That said, these cans have a more neutral sound out of the box compared to the Life Q35.
If you’re looking for the top sound quality in this price range the Sennheiser HD 350BT ($69.95 at Amazon) are also worth a look, although they don’t have active noise cancelation. For good sound quality and a reliable, sturdy build, we’ll point you toward the Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT ($69 at Amazon). You can check out all these models on our list of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.
Frequently asked questions about the Anker Soundcore Life Q35
Yes, noise canceling works when listening over a wired connection, but it will drain the battery life of the headset.
If you are experiencing problems with your headphones, a great first troubleshooting step is to reset the headphones. Press and hold the power button as well as the volume up button at the same time for 5 seconds to reset the headphones. You can then re-pair the headphones with your device.
Soundcore Life Q35 review: Great looks, sound, noise cancelling

Expert’s Rating
Pros
- Excellent active noise cancellation
- Good-looking, light, and comfortable
- App with EQ and sleep noises
- Affordable for the features and sound delivered
Cons
- Mid-range definition could be better
- Could be better EQ’d out of the box
Our Verdict
For the price, you’ll be hard-pressed to find better styling or active noise cancellation. The sound is also very good, but more in line with the price. But download the app and EQ them first thing.
Most of the audio equipment from Anker I’ve reviewed has been aimed at the low end of the market. The $130 Soundcore Q35 Life Bluetooth ANC headphones represent a different, swankier kind of experience, starting with some classier-than-typical packaging.
I was also impressed with the industrial design. In fact, I’d be tempted to call them the most attractive headphones I’ve tested. They’re vaguely reminiscent of Apple’s ridiculously overpriced AirPod Max’s, though not a direct cop. The logo was heavily “influenced” by the Beats emblem—that’s a bit closer call attribution-wise. As is the Q35 model number (very close to the Bose QC35.
This review is part of TechHive’s coverage of the best noise-cancelling headphones, where you’ll find reviews of the competition’s offerings, plus a buyer’s guide to the features you should consider when shopping for this type of product.
Forgetting appearance for a second, I should probably mention that the Q35’s active noise reduction is fantastic, and the sound (after applying some EQ with the app) is quite good—on par with like-priced rivals, though not quite top-tier.
The Q35 are over-ear headphones with 40mm drivers housed in deep cups connected by a comfortable headband. They support Bluetooth 5 and Sony’s LDAC lossless audio codec. They arrive in a hardshell carry case with a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging, a 3.5mm stereo cable, and an airplane adapter bundled up in a handy silken bag.
You can purchase the Q35 in two colors: the midnight blue shown at the top of this article, and the pale lilac (Anker calls it pink) shown below. Someone at Anker understands aesthetics. Give ‘em a raise.
Anker
Anker’s Q35 Life ANC headphone is available in midnight blue or lilac/pink.
You’ll find the plus, minus, and play/pause buttons, as well as a 3.5mmm stereo audio jack for hardwired use, on the bottom of the right-hand cup. The touch-sensitive surface of the right cup also serves to toggle noise cancellation; they can also be used to pair to devices using NFC.
The power/pair button, power status indicator, USB-C charging port, and the noise cancellation mode button are on the left-hand cup. The latter invokes several modes, which are tailored for different types of ambient noise. Spoiler: they all work well.
The Q35 also feature an auto-pause function that pauses music/video when you take the headphones off and resumes it when you put them back on. Dual microphones are used phone calls and for noise cancellation (capturing ambient noise for a phase-negative copy).
Contrary to Anker’s advertising, there is no artificial intelligence—the mimicking of the human mind—employed here. Unless the device touting AI can discuss philosophy with you, it’s not AI.
Performance
The first thing I noticed sonically about the Q35 was their heavily pronounced low-frequency reproduction. I fired up Young Jeezy before Holst’s The Planets, and it sounded like there was a sub-woofer in play. Boom, boom. It was a bit much for my tastes, and I also found the high-end and upper mid-range a bit underplayed at the default settings.
IDG
Anker’s Soundcore app can be used to EQ the sound of the Q35’s. We recommend you do so first thing.
As with the company’s Motion Boom Bluetooth speaker, however, the Q35 won me over once I’d made use of the Soundcore app to tailor frequency emphasis to taste. Said EQ fixed things up nicely, although the clarity and definition (i.e., an ability to isolate instruments) of the sound field still didn’t quite measure up to the highly sonorous, but problematic Drop Pandas with their planar driver. Then again, nothing else does either, and there’s a price difference of several hundred dollars at play.
While the Q35’s sonics are merely good in the grand scheme of things, the active noise cancellation) is fantastic. I noticed zero difference in the sound with the ANC on or or off; it does a very good job of shutting down the ambient noise as well.
Anker’s Soundcore app provides some rather convincing natural ambient noises (birds, rain, wind, etc.) for “Superior Sleep”. If I were Anker, I’d lengthen the loops to at least 30 seconds. The approximately ten seconds they currently last makes them noticeably repetitive. On the plus side, you can mix them together to form different combinations. Listening as I write this, I just yawned. Repetitive or not, it seemingly works. Or perhaps it’s just been a long day.
IDG
The Soundcore app also provides relaxing sounds for use when you’re trying to snuggle into the arms of Morpheus. We wish the loops were a bit longer, but it seems to work anyway.
I can imagine Superior Sleep would help on a plane, but sleeping with these headphones while lying on your side might not be the most comfortable experience.
Not that the Q35 aren’t comfortable in general—they are. They’re lighter than the norm, with plenty of padding, while still maintaining a tight fit. My ears never came close to touching the speaker grills, and the top of my head never felt unduly pressured by the headband. The latter is a rather rare experience.
Run time was at about 10 of the 40 claimed hours, and battery level was still announced at power-up as medium. Note that in my experience, headphones rarely live up to their lofty claims; so 10 hours is better than many.
Overall, I’d describe the Q35’s sound as sonorous, but not particularly punchy. But I’ve never heard anything better in this price range, so consider that me being picky.
Conclusion
It would be nice if the company defaulted to brighter EQ settings; however, as you can tailor this to suit just about any taste, I have no problems recommending the Q35. It’s attractive, sounds good, and delivers kick-toukus ANC. That’s a rare combination for a $130 headphone.
Soundcore Life Q35 Review | Headphones ANC Anker
The audio industry has been in a constant struggle between high definition and the convenience of wireless headphones. We tend to choose more and more TWS headphones or Bluetooth headphones anyway, and if you’re not an audiophile, even at a basic level, that might be fine too. But if there was a model that could satisfy those who together are looking for Hi-Res , portability, ANC and an honest price? This is the story. .. or rather, this is a review of in-ear headphones. Soundcore Life Q35 di Anchor .
Contents
Package Contents
Before you know what’s in the box, you need to compliment the box itself. Well maintained, well made and with serious premium details. Inside we find directly a cover for headphones Anchor Soundcore Life Q35 in review and we must say that we have another class coup Anchor : in fact it was made in Alcantara , so sustainability and style are intertwined right from the start.
Opening storage Finally we find the earphones combined with the bag containing the charging cable. Type-C socket from 3.5 mm el ‘ adapter for aircraft . To be honest, it’s hard to ask for more. There is also a fairly complete manual.
Design & Materials
Without a doubt, the right expression we can give to these Soundcore headphones is attention to detail. Nice looking, matching color (very dark petrol green, almost blue), but above all materials different games together in really interesting storylines.
We find polycarbonate very high quality in combination with the purpose aluminum colored and one leatherette very soft and comfortable. Even with the mask, she manages not to tire her ears, and given the heat we’re facing, it doesn’t overheat where they are, we have to congratulate Anker.
Smart features
Many and all very useful. All this happens with the help of physical buttons, which those who have tried Soundcore Life Q35 hopes they never disappear from over-ear headphones, you can do everything in a few clicks. On the right side we find the keys Volume and Play / Pause . On the left side is the ignition and the one that controls active noise reduction .
But how does ANC work with these headphones? Do you know when we are asked to be silent in the theater? This is where the effect comes into play when the noise canceling is really close. They isolate us in a specific way and once activated it was really comfortable to work with. The transparency mode is also not too robotic and doesn’t return too much of a “shell” effect.
Transparency, which can also be activated by touching the right pavilion, as if it were touch control . Among other things, a special application, always very precise and useful in many ways, allows us to choose which type of cancellation we prefer depending on the situation in which we find ourselves. All this is greatly appreciated. The inner voice, which then explains the various functions and battery status as soon as we turn them on, is very helpful.
In terms of connectivity, we have connectivity via Bluetooth and NFC (for Android devices). A real convenience, the connection is really stable, and you can connect 2 devices at the same time for uninterrupted listening. The motion detector is very convenient, allowing you to stop the music when we put the headphones on our neck.
Sound Quality – Soundcore Life Q35
The nerve center of this review is undoubtedly the audio department of these headphones. AT Soundcore Life Q35 they want to impress with a whole series of integrated chipsets, their codecs and huge dynamic drivers. But what, after all, do we deduce from this? This may sound professional, but given that most consumers don’t have to deal with sound in high-res , let’s try to simplify: these sound cores they sound great .
They are not the best headphones in the world, even if poco rises higher than me 200€ we find models Sony o Bose it matters, but for the price they cost, it is very likely that they have no competitors. They surprised us with their powerful bass (and, believe me, this is often marketing). The sound is extremely detailed, so it can be “uncomfortable” (in the sense that the whole definition may not be appreciated by everyone) for those who are not used to it. Even on a call, they hear us very well, but we can define this at best as a quality bonus. The experience is really interesting, and I must say thanks to technology: Hi-Res (wired), Hi-Res Wireless and especially the LDAC codec.
On the last codec, we must stop and explain a little why this is important. LDAC is a technology developed by Sony to bring the bitrate to an impressive frequency of 990 kbps . What does it mean? That you can give up lossless (no loss of detail) is almost ready even with wireless headphones .
This technology is in direct competition with APTX e lHDC , but those who have tried these headphones have found better performance, which gives LDAC . These are tastes, but Sony she is a teacher. Obviously, for optimal use of this codec, it is recommended to use them on an Android smartphone and maybe Tidal / Amazon Music as a music streaming platform, since Apple Music Lossless is still in beta Google .
Svoboda
Applause for Anker, including the autonomy of these headphones. The battery is from 720 mAh which they use for a really long time. At 60 hours without ANC they are just as real as 40 hours with active noise cancellation. When traveling, they will no doubt be your best allies.
Anker Soundcore Life Q35 Review – Price and Conclusion
We’ve come to the end with the new in-ear headphones. soundcore . What have we gained from this? Without a doubt, you can finally get a pair of earbuds that feel really good, do the job they were meant to do flawlessly, at a really affordable price.
These headphones are actually listed as 129€ , something that Anker fought and won a lot of, but often on Amazon you can find them among 90 and 100€ , making them truly the best buys in the world. of its category. So who are these headphones for? There is often a tendency to make distinctions between groups of users, with the Life Q35 this is not necessary: those false ears are fine. to tutti , from the most demanding to the least experienced. Obviously those who can spend more are looking at more expensive and therefore more powerful headphones, but for those looking to optimize costs, don’t hesitate.

Explorar Explorar Mariah Carey See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news Juana María Diez Londoño nació en Medellín en el 2005. Show seasonal allergies who’s boss If you suffer from seasonal allergies, now is when they are at their worst. Stock up on allergy season’s most important products to keep your home, classroom, and office allergen-free. Start with an air purifier to strip the air of allergens like pollen and pet dander and replace existing air filters for improved air quality. Frequently dust, wipe down hard surfaces, and vacuum carpets and furniture to help eliminate pollen tracked in from outside and dander left behind by pets. When leaving the house, check the pollen count and bring a face mask to help filter the air you breath outside. 10. Street Fighter IV
This fighting game was developed for slot machines and consoles. Of course, when it was ported to PC, the controls were adapted to the keyboard, but it is much more convenient to play it with a gamepad. Various combos, super combos and focus attacks are much more convenient to perform on the joystick, if only because it is more difficult to miss and press the wrong key here. The fighting game itself is quite good – a very good combat system, characters, each of which has its own fighting style, and even some semblance of a plot. Although, it’s better not to even try to understand what’s going on here. After all, compared to local history, even the showdown between Scorpion and Sub Zero will seem to you an incredibly deep drama. On the other hand, who cares about story in a game that’s only meant to blow off steam? So, fight to your heart’s content.
9. Resident Evil 6
Another game from the series, which is traditionally considered a console game. And any part of this series, not only the last one, is best played using a gamepad. And do not believe the developers who say that the PC port is successful and no joystick is required! Of course, it is quite possible to pass Resident Evil 6 with only one keyboard and mouse. That’s just, it’s worth switching to a gamepad – and immediately the game becomes an order of magnitude more comfortable. If we talk about Resident Evil 6 itself (namely, this is how the name of the project is translated), then it turned out to be very spectacular, dynamic and, in some places, even frightening. Although it can’t be compared with the very first parts of the series in terms of the level of injected tension, a zombie jumping out of the darkness will definitely not bring you much joy. In general, the game is more action than horror, but it does not become less interesting for passing.
8. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
The last, at the moment, part of the famous series. Assassin’s Creed has always been ported to PC since the very first game. And, to be honest, it even went quite successfully. But it would not be on this list if the keyboard here was a full-fledged replacement for the gamepad. That all parkour movements, that fights (in particular, various finishing moves) are much easier to do when playing with a joystick. It’s just easier to play with him. And, as already mentioned, with a gamepad it is much more difficult to miss and press the wrong key. If we talk about the game itself, then the focus, as always, is the showdown between the Order of the Templars and the Assassins. I don’t want to reveal the plot to you – I’ll only say that the main characters are the twins Evie and Jacob Fry, and the action takes place in London 19th century, during the Victorian era.
7. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Few people need to introduce this game. Even if you are not familiar with this particular part, you have probably heard about the series about the adventures of the Prince of Persia. In terms of gameplay, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a classic arcade action game (you can call it Action-adventure if you want), with a fair share of slashers. Why is this game on this list? Most of the acrobatic tricks that are here are much easier to do using a gamepad. And when it comes to fighting… Believe me, those fights that are easily passed with the help of a joystick will make you break your fingers when playing the keyboard. If we talk about the game itself and its plot, there is nothing particularly original here. Quite a classic story of the Prince, who once again saves the kingdom from the Sands of Time. And how this happens, you will find out for yourself.
6. Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Classic racing game with licensed cool cars, great music and police chases. And there is even a plot here, although it is only needed to explain why we are once again participating in the race. This game, like most others, is easily played using the keyboard. But if you use a gamepad, then a certain level of immersion in what is happening on the screen immediately increases. I don’t know what this is connected with, but it’s more fun and interesting to play on a gamepad than on a keyboard. Even better, of course, using the steering wheel, but this is for very aesthetes. If we talk about the game itself, then here we have the classic Need for Speed is a very interesting and dynamic arcade game about car racing. There are no scratches left on the cars, and the speeds are such that it is not entirely clear why your car does not take off above the road. In general, the typical arcade gameplay, which, nevertheless, is great for those who want to relax from the heart.
5. Ace Combat: Assault Horison
Series Ace Combat is a series of flight simulators about modern combat aircraft. As in any flight simulator, it is much more convenient to play here using a gamepad. The flight physics is very well done in the game, modern combat vehicles are worked out, both of the NATO armed forces and of Russian production. In total, there are almost 40 different types of aircraft – fighters, bombers, there are even helicopters. And on all this splendor you can fly. The game has a lot of advantages, to be sure, and it is interesting to pass it – that’s just, it’s better not to try to follow the plot. In my opinion, he is not particularly logical and reliable in the game. However, it’s up to someone who likes it. It is quite possible not to bother with history, but just fly. Thankfully this is really interesting.
4. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
This project is a reboot of the famous Castlevania series. The game takes place in supposedly medieval Europe. Why supposedly? Well, because everything here is fantasy through and through. Castlevania belongs to the slasher genre – that is, in the process of passing we exterminate tons of living and not very opponents, and we do it in close combat. The game was released on consoles in 2010, and on PC only three years later, in 2013. And although it was ported to PC for a long time, playing on the keyboard is still not convenient here. What can you do, Castlevania is a classic console slasher, and it is much more convenient to play it with a gamepad. Otherwise, the game is good, and great for blowing off steam. So good luck to you in the fantasy Middle Ages.
3. Batman: Arkham Knight
Another great console action game. Great storyline, great graphics and many of the most famous characters from comics. And the control, which is sharpened for the gamepad, and in such a way that it is not convenient to implement it on the keyboard. No, they tried, of course, but if you yourself compare exactly where it is more convenient to cut down five opponents at a time – controlling with a gamepad, or using a keyboard – then the choice will be clearly in favor of the gamepad. If we talk about the game as a whole, it definitely deserves your attention, if only because it is one of the best comic book projects that have come out recently.
2. DmC Devil May Cry
Another slasher on our list, which is also a reboot of the series. The game is just incredibly good, and just as cruel. The story about the demons that enslaved mankind, and Dante, the Nephilim, exterminating these demons with particular cruelty. Everything is done very beautifully, stylishly, and the videos, “filmed” on the game engine, will not leave anyone indifferent. The voice acting is also on the level – and the voices of the characters, and the special effects, and the music. One problem – playing the keyboard is not very comfortable. Your obedient servant managed to complete the game in this way, but honestly, everything is much easier here on the gamepad. It seems to be the same actions – but on the joystick you can control them an order of magnitude faster. In general, the gamepad is in your hands, and go ahead, have fun.
1. War Thunder
An online simulator about World War II vehicles. Everything that could be said about this project has already been said, but it was simply impossible to pass it by. The joystick is needed here, first of all, for air battles (with tank battles, it’s better to manage with a mouse with a keyboard). Especially if you prefer to play “hardcore” – in simulation battles. Dozens of aircraft from five different nations, suitable for a variety of tasks, many combat modes – in general, it’s better to see for yourself. Thankfully, registration is free.
Details about the game and a link to free registration can be found in our review of War Thunder.
Top PC gamepad games, best PC joystick games
It’s no secret that consoles are more popular in the West than
gaming computers. Therefore, many developers initially make their projects with an eye
to control with a gamepad. In such games, it is much more convenient to run, jump and fight
using this device. And it is much more pleasant for a player to lie down on a chair with him or
couch, controlling what is happening on the screen. Therefore, today we will make games for the gamepad
on pc top, where we include the best joystick games on pc!

Without a doubt, the fifth part of the series about the “great car thieves” is in the top
titled “games on PC with a gamepad list of the best”. The whole point is that
the guys from Rockstar did a good job, and as a result, GTA V plays great that
on the keyboard with the mouse, on the joystick. Driving a car is much more pleasant, having under
gamepad trigger fingers, which are much more sensitive to pressure. Offended
those who hardly shoot with the help of this device will not leave either –
auto-aim is perfectly implemented in the game, and therefore with bandit disassembly of problems
will not be.

Go outside and ask anyone if the Jedi Fallen Order is included
in the top gamepad games for PC, and the answer is definitely yes. This dashing
action game about the Jedi takes place between the events of episodes III and IV, telling the story of a young
Padawan Cal Castis. He was forced to hide for many years, but literally in one moment he
life has changed. Now, with a team of friends, he surfs the vastness of the Distant Galaxy, exploring
planets and brandishing a lightsaber. Of course, all this is much more convenient to do on a special
joystick than on a keyboard and mouse.

The football championship has recently died down, and there is nothing better than to continue
football celebration in a good game. FIFA 21 is surely familiar to avid football fans, because
that in no other game you will meet so many licensed footballers.
But video games about sports are not in vain among the top games for the joystick on PC, because for the game
with comrades behind the same screens, this device fits perfectly. Even with only one
a gamepad, it will be much more convenient to give the entire keyboard to an opponent than to huddle with him on one device.

Another good option for battles with friends has always been the Mortal Kombat series.
These games provide a wide variety of characters, and the Aftermath edition also includes additional characters,
including from militants 90s, for example, Robocop and Terminator-Schwarzenegger.
Brawlers are traditionally the best gamepad-enabled games on PC, it just so happens
historically. Shattering virtual faces of friends and acquaintances is much more fun if everyone is comfortable with it
to do, and here a good joystick, or even several, should come in handy.

The Batman: Arkham series is an excellent action game about the famous superhero,
and at the same time, it is among the top games for a gamepad on a weak PC. All four games
will give beautiful graphics, and most of them also work great even
on fairly old computers. Man-bat control is much more convenient
on the controller: hide in the shadows, hang from the ceiling and fight the crowd where
more convenient when all the controls are at hand.

The Best, but Expensive
Tom Bihn Synik 22
When I (Adrienne) travel for work, I typically carry a Tom Bihn bag, and the clamshell Synik 22 is my favorite. It has a lot of pockets, and they’re all thoughtfully designed. For example, the zippered water bottle pocket is located in the middle of the backpack instead of on the side, so it won’t tip you off balance. The pen pockets are located in flaps on the side rather than in the middle top, for convenient access. The exterior is made from Bluesign-certified 400-denier ballistic nylon with top-of-the-line YKK water-repellent zippers. Each bag has a lifetime guarantee.
Because the bag is so small, the pass-through on the back is only 7 inches wide—too narrow to slip over the handle of a carry-on. And the dense fabric and plentiful hardware—the zippers, O-rings, and buckles—make it a little heavy. But in the 22-liter size, I didn’t notice the extra weight. It’s the perfect, organized conference companion, but it’s on the highest end of what we think is worth spending on a bag.
★ A roll-top Tom Bihn: The Tom Bihn Addax for $294 has become one of my go-tos. Roll-top bags are more versatile than zippered ones. Don’t have enough room? Unroll it and stick your bike helmet in. Too much? Roll it down to compress the space. And if you live in a rainy area, roll-tops keep water from seeping through the top zippers.
Like all Tom Bihn bags, the pockets are metaphysical perfection, with a huge laptop pocket with two-way access that also has a tablet pocket for my Kindle, and front pockets with O-rings to hook keys and other sundries. It has a huge luggage pass-through and hefty padded shoulder straps. It’s also hand-sewn in the US from PFC-free material and has a lifetime warranty that’s as bombproof as the ballistic nylon fabric. It’s a good thing, because at this price, you only want to buy it once.

Rains Backpack Mini
I (Medea) am a working, grown adult, not a high schooler headed to algebra or a hiker traversing the Alps. When I leave my work-from-home bubble to venture outside, my bag should look like a perfectly curated accessory to my outfit, not a ragged relic or a rugged pack. The 8.5-liter Rains Backpack Mini helps me maintain my sense of style without stripping away function. It holds my 13-inch MacBook and the accessories I need for work. I’ve even packed this little bag with an extra outfit and toiletries (in addition to my laptop) for a night away. Plus, it looks so pretty.
You can upgrade to the 13-liter version for $110, but both sizes have the same-size laptop sleeve. They’re waterproof and come in fun colors (I bought it in lavender a few years back), and the Mini has held up well over the past few years. There’s a small phone zip pocket on the back panel, but when I’m commuting I like to keep my wallet there so I know no one can grab it. Look at Rains’ other backpacks if you like its understated, Scandinavian style.

Best Budget Bag
Herschel Heritage Backpack
The Tom Bihn is priced out of many budgets, but you don’t have to settle for a crappy bag if you want to save money. Despite being more affordable than most of the bags on this list, this Herschel looks just as nice and is just as capable. I (Medea) used the Heritage as my school bag and filled it with a day’s worth of textbooks and a laptop in its dedicated 15-inch sleeve. I’ve also used it as an overnight bag stuffed with clothes and a pair of shoes, and as a carry-on with essentials should my luggage get lost. It has since followed me into my work life too. It’s made from 600-denier polyester with a faux leather bottom and handle.
After years of heavy use, it has only recently started to show signs of wear, especially on the top handle. The bag itself hasn’t ripped, and the straps are holding strong. The downside? There’s no water bottle pocket. If the Heritage isn’t what you’re looking for, take a look at the rest of Herschel’s backpacks.

A Pricey All-Leather Option
Harber London City Backpack
If you’re prepared to spend almost $600, this leather bag is sophisticated and doesn’t compromise on function. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu made it through CES 2023 with this on his back. He stowed a 13-inch MacBook Air (it can fit up to 16-inch laptops), an iPad in the second laptop sleeve, chargers, cables, his camera, and a separate flash. There’s decent organization in there with a spare zippered pouch and padding at the base to protect your goods.
The front pocket can store a few other slim items, and he likes the tiny pocket near the handles for keys or sunglasses. But the side pockets are too tight to fit a water bottle.
★ A casual alternative: We love Cuyana’s leather tote, and its backpack for $478 is just as beautiful. The laptop sleeve fit my 13-inch MacBook, and a second pocket fits a tablet or Kindle. Two front magnetic-close pockets held my Owala. You get less protection than with the Harber London bag, though, since it doesn’t zip close—instead there is a clip and magnet.

As far as proportions are concerned, laptop bags vary greatly, but the main thing you should look for is the size of the laptop compartment. If you have a 13-inch Macbook Air, for example, you’ll want a laptop compartment that will properly house your laptop so it won’t shift. Usually, a good bag will have an interior space (ideally, a padded one) where your computer can be stowed securely, safe from surface scratches and abrasions it might pick up if it rubbed against your keys or a zippered jacket.
Another important consideration is how much it can hold besides a laptop. If you need a bag that can double as a carry-on or you intend to bring your laptop bag to the gym, you should consider how many individual compartments it has and how much space it offers. You may also want to look for one with a front-zippered pocket for storing cables, keys, pens, or other small items you’d want quick access to.
Padding on the shoulders and back can do wonders for the body and help relieve some of the weight. Remember: When you first put a laptop backpack on, it may feel light, but after a 30-minute commute, the extra weight can take a toll (which is where the strap-padding comes in).
Waterproofing is a nice feature that can keep your computer safe and dry during an unexpected downpour, so many of the bags on our list are made of heavy-duty canvas, nylon, leather, neoprene, or synthetic materials like Fjallraven’s Vinylon-F, which is weather and dust resistant. We made sure to look for bags that are durable, stylish, and don’t look or feel flimsy — that way, they can handle any daily commute or travel.

“My Fjällräven backpack is filthy,” Strategist staff writer Lauren Ro says. “But it should be. In the six years I’ve owned it, I’ve put this bag through everything.” As opposed to being inside the bag, the laptop compartment here is a separate, zippered pouch at the back, which Ro says allows for easy access. It’s also padded, so you don’t have to buy a bulky laptop sleeve. “Whether I’m heading to the office or to the airport, the Kanken fits exactly what I need — and helps me carry it comfortably,” Ro says. The Kanken has padded adjustable straps for added comfort and two side pockets for a water bottle or umbrella. It comes in three sizes and 12 colors.

Former Strategist writer Chloe Anello says that the backpack was her “favorite for lugging stuff back and forth” when she commuted from Beacon to the Vox Media offices downtown, adding, “It holds everything imaginable.” That’s thanks to features such as two exterior mounted pockets, a detachable key leash, and the smaller zippered sections within the main interior pocket for storing your lunch, headphones, snacks, and wallet.

Tom Wahlin, an editor and writer at Pack Hacker, says that while the Tom Bihn “gives off some dad vibes,” there’s a reason this style is such a classic. “When it comes to laptop storage, you can choose how you want to get to your tech,” he says. “Grab your laptop by unzipping the main compartment like you would a regular backpack, or unzip the dedicated side zipper to get quick access from the outside.” It’s especially useful if you fly frequently since you can easily access your laptop (in a multitude of ways) for TSA checks and make use of its plentiful internal organization. (The heavy-duty nylon and padded straps and bottom don’t hurt, either.) The Synik comes in two sizes, 22 and 30: The 22 is smaller and better suited for 13-inch laptops, while the 30 can hold laptops up to 16 inches. While it isn’t the most stylish bag, it features many of the details you would want and expect from a laptop bag if you travel frequently.

I’ve been using the Rains backpack to protect my laptop for four years from New York blizzards, torrential downpours, and the occasional drop on the floor. The interior laptop section has a dedicated strap that can easily store my 13-inch MacBook Pro, though you can get a larger version that holds laptops up to 15 inches. There’s also a hidden phone pocket zipper on the back that you can use to store your mobile device or quickly access an I.D. It’s one of the sleeker and more minimal laptop bags to carry on a daily commute, which means its one major drawback is the lack of space — don’t expect to pack much more than your laptop, your phone in the aforementioned pocket, and a book. But if all you need your bag to do is look good and protect your computer, then look no further.

com/strategist/_components/clay-paragraph/instances/clh2143op00163b6tvw7rxla6@published” data-word-count=”48″>For those who work from an iPad and prefer to keep a light bag, Patagonia’s Atom Sling has enough room to hold a tablet and its lightweight materials make for a light carry. I’ve been using it for about two weeks, and it’s quickly become my favorite bag. It’s made of recycled polyester, and feels durable enough to withstand a little bit of turmoil; and if you get too rough with it and damage the bag, Patagonia has a repair program that, in most cases, will assess and fix your bag free of charge. Plus, as we’ve heard from other Patagonia bag owners, they may even replace the bag if it can’t be repaired.
There’s room for an 11-inch iPad Pro (sorry, 12. 9-inch iPad Pro workers), but to fit it, you have to maneuver it a little bit. That hasn’t caused too much trouble for me, though, and I’ve even been able to stuff my iPad and my Kindle Scribe into the bag — and keep them separate thanks to the bag’s internal divider. You could also use this to keep your notebook or book away from your tablet.
It also has convenient features that other small sling bags lack, like a handy zipper pocket right on the strap for things you need quick access to (your keys or a pair of wireless earbuds). It also has a couple adjustable straps on the front to hold things like a yoga mat or an extra layer.
If you prefer a bag with a minimalist aesthetic, however, Patagonia’s signature outdoorsy design, packed with straps and extra pockets that make it look more like a camelback than a regular backpack, might not be for you. That said, it works better for holding a tablet than any other sling I’ve used.
Satchel & Page Aviator Brief

Storage: Fits laptops up to 15” | Comfort: Adjustable leather shoulder strap | Material: Canvas and leather
If you want a more formal, classic-looking bag — that’s not a backpack — Emily Grosvenor, author of Find Yourself at Home: A Conscious Approach to Shaping Your Space and Your Life, loves the Aviator Brief from Satchel & Page. “When I go out, I like to get dressed up, I like to present as a writer even when I’m just going to a coffee shop,” she says, “You’re drawn in by the styling, it kind of has an old-timey feel, like you’re going to get on a train and going on an adventure. ”
It has a dedicated laptop sleeve (which can hold laptops up to 14.2 inches wide), with an internal leather sleeve for extra protection. Grossvenor, who lives in the rainy state of Oregon, says the canvas exterior of the bag is durable enough to withstand a bit of bad weather. In addition to leather handles, the Aviator has an option shoulder strap you can use if that’s your preference. There’s also a leather strap on one side of the bag for slipping it over the handle of a carry-on to keep it secure as you’re rushing to your gate.

How to choose a bag, a case or a backpack for a laptop
The laptop looks like a traditional desktop computer with compact dimensions and the possibility of autonomous work at home or in the office. When choosing a laptop, more respect for your productivity, better looking and richer characteristics, forgetting that the gadget’s protection from mechanical and climatic problems can become one of the first tasks. Even if your laptop is capable of realizing less at the right station. Therefore, before choosing a bag or backpack for a laptop, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the most common types of suitable accessories.
Up to the widest formats available today:
Leather group may have its own characteristics and pick up a bag for a laptop, it is necessary to protect it.
The most universal and required format of accessories for carrying and protecting a laptop is a bag. It has a special compartment for a laptop, with closed partitions or recesses, as well as low other internal windows, in which documents, magazines, a mobile phone or a living block can be comfortably placed. Most of the models of bags have additional transfers and extra pockets for saving flash drives, keys or other items, which may always be available. The bag can be worn both in the hands and on the belt over the shoulder. For the preparation of vicory, both natural (mostly fabrics or skins) and synthetic materials are used.
Briefcase bags and so-called cases are also requested to be requested. For the preparation of accessories, the look of the portfolio has a natural skin or a piece analogue. Such a bag not only protects a laptop and contains all the necessary documents for a robot, but also adds the status of a sackmaster. Therefore, this format is popular among business people. We specialize in the variety of the bag-portfolio є case. Vіn vіrіznyаієєє tim, yogo walls vykonuyutsya from solid materials (plastic, aluminum and іn.). Zhorst case allows you to secure the maximum protection from the outside. One case is supplemented with a combination lock. Up to a small amount of such a format, you can see the space between a laptop and a living block.
One more way to protect a laptop from a bag and a case. On the vіdminu vіd іnshih vіnіantіv, vіn zabezpechuє іnіmalny zakhist i for transferring а laptop all the same happens to buy a bag or a backpack. Deyakі models allow you to work on laptops without wearing a case. But the main shortfall of this option is taken into account by those who have a vicarious cap, you can save the old looking outbuilding, and for a complete zakhist, you can have a vicorist bag of a different type.
A worthy competitor for traditional bags and briefcases is a backpack for laptops. Due to the fact that the vantage is spread on the back of the coristuvach, maximum comfort is ensured when carrying important laptops. With whom, the hands become free. For the preparation of backpacks, synthetic materials are most often used (polyester, polyurethane, nylon, lining and other). Rucksacks are for active koristuvachіv, yakі give priority to the youth-sports style, as well as mandrivniks or journalists.
.
How to choose a bag for a laptop
The first important parameter of the bag is its size, which should be kept according to the dimensions of your laptop. In the description of the leather bag, I will add the maximum value of the diagonal of the screen, so that it can be comfortably placed near the special windows. Do not buy a bag of a larger size, because your laptop does not grow old by the hour, but if you move around the license, you can bring it to wear on the case. The most requested bags today are 15.6-inch laptop bags, in which you can safely transport laptops with a screen diagonal of 15″ to 16″.
When choosing the material of the bag, you should ensure that it is made from natural materials to increase the price, look better and can become an expensive accessory, which enhances the status of a hairdresser. For practicality, it is important to sacrifice synthetic ones. The stench of the mіtsnіshi, it’s easier to clear the mud, and the rich piece materials allow you to protect the internal vіdsіki vіd vologa.
Today, anonymous color options for the leather model of the bag are being promoted, and choose to stay here only according to your taste and passion. Ale, it is necessary to vrahuvat, that dark colors (sir, black, blue) are more practical with a good victorian, and bright bags allow you to see you from the natovpu, adding to the individuality and kind relish.
Also, when choosing a bag, it is necessary to insure its resistance to impact, in order to lie down in the material and the visibility of the reinforced threads or a thick frame. First of all, pay attention to the practicality of the model: at the same time with a laptop in a bag, it is necessary to pack a life block, a bear, or a hard drive. Do not forget to specify the maximum weight allowed for the selected bag model.
Yak pіdіbrati laptop backpack
Backpack in pairs with other accessories for laptop protection in terms of mechanical and climatic conditions, it has its own features, as described above, and when choosing and the most handy model needs to be insured. Even though backpacks often give priority for carrying important 17-inch laptops, it is necessary to specify the maximum allowable weight in the model, which is worthy.
Selecting the correct model of the backpack, it is necessary to protect not only the dimensions of the diagonal of the laptop, but also the body of the case. It is also necessary to choose a model with a sufficient number of supplementary intestines and accessories, so that you can place a life extension, a 3G router, a power bank for a mobile phone and other necessary accessories.
As a material, synthetic materials (nylon, neoprene and polyester) showed the best results. The cream of high strength, wear resistance and low stench can make it very water resistant (with the protection of leakage by a waterproof warehouse), which allows you to protect your laptop from the influx of atmospheric water.
Shards and materials do not have enough hardness, the adapter for transporting the laptop is additionally covered by a package or soft walls that are shock-absorbing. The stench is also building protection of the laptop elements from overcooling.
Today, a large number of colors for the leather model of a backpack are being promoted and without any problems choose a color that suits your style of clothing. And yet, as practice shows, it is more practical to choose one of the dark colors, which is less smart to the point of confusion.
In order to clarify all the recommendations, above, you can name the main features of the ideal bag (backpack) option for a laptop:
- Accessory for the maximum security of a mobile extension;
- Bag (rucksack) according to the needs and image of a koristuvach;
- Material ensures maximum protection against physical damage;
- The shape of that color is suitable not only for the faint of heart, but for you;
- Price according to financial possibilities.
Charger of apple watch: Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable (1 m)
Charge Apple Watch – Apple Support
Set up the charger
-
In a well-ventilated area, place your charger or charging cable on a flat surface.
Your Apple Watch comes with the Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable (Apple Watch Series 7 and Apple Watch Series 8 only) or the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable (other models). You can also use a MagSafe Duo Charger or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock (sold separately).
-
Plug the charging cable into the power adapter (sold separately).
-
Plug the adapter into a power outlet.
Note: Fast charging is not available in all regions.
Begin charging Apple Watch
Place the Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C cable (included with Apple Watch Series 7 or later) or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable (included with earlier models) on the back of your Apple Watch. The concave end of the charging cable magnetically snaps to the back of your Apple Watch and aligns it properly.
Apple Watch plays a chime when charging begins (unless your watch is in silent mode) and a charging symbol shows on the watch face. The symbol is red when Apple Watch needs power and turns green when it’s charging. When Apple Watch is in Low Power Mode, the charging symbol is yellow.
You can charge your Apple Watch in a flat position with its band open, or on its side.
-
If you’re using the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock or MagSafe Duo Charger: Lay your Apple Watch on the dock.
-
If your battery is very low: You may see an image of the Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable or Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable and the low battery symbol on the screen. For more information, see the Apple Support article If your Apple Watch won’t charge or it won’t turn on.

Check remaining power
To see remaining power, touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center. To more quickly check the remaining power, add a battery complication to the watch face. See Customize the watch face.
Save power
You can save battery life by turning on Low Power Mode. Doing so turns off Always On Display, background heart rate and blood oxygen measurements, and heart rate notifications. Other notifications may be delayed, emergency alerts may not arrive, and certain cellular and Wi-Fi connections are limited. Cellular is turned off until you require it—when you stream music or send a message, for example.
Note: Low Power Mode will be turned off when the battery is charged to 80%.
-
Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center.
-
Tap the battery percentage, then turn on Low Power Mode.
-
To confirm your choice, scroll down, then tap Turn On Low Power Mode.
You can tap Turn On For, then choose On for 1 Day, On for 2 Days, or On for 3 Days.
Tip: If you have battery-powered devices such as AirPods connected to your Apple Watch through Bluetooth, their remaining charge appears on this screen.
When battery charge drops to 10 percent or lower, your Apple Watch alerts you and gives you the opportunity to enter Low Power Mode.
For more information about Low Power Mode, see the Apple Support article Use Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch.
Tip: For tips on maximizing battery life, see Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan at the Apple website.
Return to normal power mode
-
Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center.
-
Tap the battery percentage, then turn off Low Power Mode.
Check time since the last charge
-
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
-
Tap Battery.
The Battery screen shows the remaining battery percentage, a graph that details the recent history of the battery charge, and information about when the battery was last charged.
Check battery health
You can find out the capacity of your Apple Watch battery relative to when it was new.
-
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
-
Tap Battery, then tap Battery Health.
Apple Watch alerts you if battery capacity is significantly reduced, allowing you to check your service options.
Prevent apps from refreshing in the background
When you switch to a new app, the app you were using doesn’t remain open or take up system resources, but it may still “refresh”—check for updates and new content—in the background.
Refreshing apps in the background can use power. To maximize battery life, you can turn this option off.
-
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
-
Go to General > Background App Refresh.
-
Turn off Background App Refresh to prevent all apps from refreshing. Or scroll down, then turn off refresh for individual apps.
Note: Apps with complications on the current watch face will continue to refresh, even when their background app refresh setting is off.
Best Apple Watch Chargers 2023
The Apple Watch boasts exceptional battery life, especially in high-end models like the Apple Watch Ultra, which can last up to 36 hours on a single charge with regular usage. However, you’ll need a reliable charger to ensure your watch stays charged throughout the day, whether at home or on the go.
The official Apple Watch charger is the best option for most people as it is easy to use and supports fast charging on the latest models. Still, you can find better alternatives elsewhere, particularly if you want to take advantage of features like Nightstand mode or charge multiple Apple devices at the same time.
Here are the best Apple Watch chargers available right now.

How to Choose a Multifunctional Fax Machine
As its name suggests, an all-in-one machine can print, send, and receive fax messages. Not only that but it can also scan physical documents and convert them into digital files that are stored in the machine.
The thing with these all-in-one machines is that they are not created equal. The differences in features, speeds, and quality can be confusing if you don’t know what to look for.
Here’s what you need to consider before making a purchase:
List down the features you need
One of the essential features to look for is a machine with duplex printing. This will allow you to print on both sides of the paper automatically, saving you time and money in the long run.
Additionally, a printer with a large paper tray can hold more sheets at once so you won’t have to refill it as often. If you plan to scan or copy a lot of documents, you should also look for printers, scanners, and fax machines with a large scanning or copying area.
Evaluate your budget
Another important thing to consider is your budget. All-in-one multifunctional fax machines come in a wide range of prices, so it’s up to you to determine how much money you are willing to spend.
You should also check if any special offers are available when purchasing this type of product. Sometimes, manufacturers give discounts for all-in-one multifunctional fax machines with specific features or bundled together with other products that can be helpful for your business or home office.
How much should you expect to spend? Prices range from $400 and above for heavy-duty printers with unique refillable ink tanks and wireless connectivity features. Meanwhile, entry-level and basic printers may be cheaper, but factor in that they may have limited features compared to more expensive models.
Measure the available space
Avoid buyer’s remorse by making sure that your new printer will fit well into your existing setup. Aside from measuring the counter or desk space, consider how you will position the machine so that it is within range of power outlets, cables, and other computers.
If you have limited space, go for an all-in-one fax machine that is easy to move around. If you have more space, you can choose a printer with a larger paper tray and other features.
Choose a printer type
This feature is often the deciding factor when buying office equipment, as it impacts both the cost of the machine and the speed of printing.
- Inkjet printers use liquid ink droplets from a print head which is held over the paper while it moves past on a roller. Inkjets are one of the most common types of printing technology because they offer fast printing speeds at an affordable price point.
- Laser printers differ from other technologies in design by using a laser beam rather than an inkjet or toner cartridge to create images on paper. This type of technology is generally more expensive than inkjet printers, but they produce higher-quality printouts.
- Laser multifunction printers are designed to combine the functionality of multiple types of devices into one product. For example, laser multifunction printers typically offer printing, copying, scanning, and faxing capabilities with an inkjet printer’s high-speed printing at a fraction of the price.
Remember: You also have to consider printing capacity, compatibility with existing tools, warranty, and maintenance costs in your decision.

Buying Guide: The Best Business Printers for 2023
Should I Get a Monochrome Printer or a Color Printer?
Color pages are often more attractive than their black-and-white counterparts, and they give you many ways to emphasize information. On the other hand, certain types of documents don’t benefit from color, and using it in these scenarios is little more than unnecessary expense.
The Xerox B210 monochrome laser does just one thing, but does it well.
(Credit: Xerox)
For instance, many front-counter scenarios don’t call for color. They require sharp, easy-to-read black text—and since the customer or patient is often waiting, usually they need it fast. Monochrome documents are also usually more efficient (or at least less expensive) for in-house memos and reports.
When used properly, though, color makes an impact, conveying your message clearly and dynamically and helping to put your best foot forward when you’re trying to impress potential clients. It’s essential for producing your own brochures, flyers, and other marketing materials.
Depending on your content and your printer, a color page can easily cost you three to five times as much as a monochrome one. Fortunately, running costs have generally declined over the years, putting high-quality color within the reach of most companies.
An AIO printer can copy, scan, and (in some cases) fax documents. Most AIOs couple the printer with a flatbed scanner that can scan objects such as book pages as well as loose documents.
The Epson EcoTank ET-5850 scans, copies, and faxes.

Sometimes the ability to copy and scan is actually counterproductive. You wouldn’t, for example, want your busy front-desk printer occupied—while your customers are waiting—by someone making copies. That said, most offices do at least a bit of document copying and scanning.
If you decide to get an AIO, first look for one with an automatic document feeder (ADF) for handling multipage documents without user intervention. Without one, you’ll need to place pages on the scanner bed one at a time. With an ADF, you simply place a stack of pages in the feeder and let ‘er rip.
ADFs can be either manual-duplexing or auto-duplexing. With the former, when the machine finishes scanning the first sides of the stack of pages, you need to flip the stack manually and place it back in the ADF to scan the other sides. Auto-duplexing does this for you, either by flipping the page (reverse duplexing) or by using dual sensors to scan both sides at once (single-pass duplexing). Single-pass is faster and presents fewer potential points of failure, making it a more desirable technology, but my experience testing many ADFs indicates both methods work well and get the job done.

Should I Get an Inkjet Printer, or a Laser Printer?
Traditional wisdom is that laser printers are faster, more reliable, and less expensive to use, and that they have better output than their inkjet counterparts. But depending on what and how much you print, inkjet machines are often superior.
Granted, laser technology—which applies toner to an entire page in one fell swoop—is inherently faster than the way most inkjets apply ink to paper, with a relatively small printhead moving back and forth, laying down line after line. Medium- to high-volume inkjets typically top out at about 25 pages per minute (ppm), while comparable laser machines are often 10ppm to 15ppm faster. Higher-end, high-volume laser printers achieve print speeds of 50ppm or more (as do HP’s PageWide laser-alternative inkjet printers, whose fixed printhead arrays don’t travel back and forth across the page). But 25ppm is plenty fast enough for most business environments.

Aside from raw speed, are laser printers more reliable? There was a time years ago when some inkjet printers tended to be more prone to paper jams, clogged nozzles, and inferior output. But those days are over.
As to whether inkjet printers are more expensive to use than lasers, while there are exceptions, that hasn’t been the case for some time now. Indeed, bulk-ink inkjets, most of which use large refill bottles or bags instead of small cartridges of ink, can be far less costly to use than their laser rivals.
Also, it’s important to note that inkjet printers tend to use significantly less electricity than comparable lasers. In busy offices where the printer churns out page after page all day, that’s an extra, if hard-to-quantify, “consumable” you could save money on with an inkjet.
Finally, there’s the biggest misconception of all, that laser printers as a rule produce better-looking output than their inkjet competitors. Again, there are always exceptions, but this hasn’t been cut-and-dried for quite a while. Where laser printers have always excelled, and to some extent still do, is in printing text or typesetting. Inkjet printers, on the other hand, usually print superior graphics, especially photographs.
This is not to say that laser printers don’t print well. It’s just that inkjets have made great strides. In addition, most inkjet machines can print borderless document pages and photos, making your photos and other marketing materials look more professional. Laser printers, on the other hand, must leave about a quarter-inch of margin all the way around the edge of the paper.
One aspect in which laser printers’ toner output does prevail over inkjet output is the durability of the printing. A laser print typically lasts longer without cracking or fading, and is not prone to smudging or streaking if exposed to moisture. That’s an advantage in environments where the longevity of hard-copy records, such as medical documentation, is important.

Should I Consider a Bulk-Ink Printer?
Until recently, the per-page cost of consumables (ink or toner) was based primarily on the print-volume expectation and price of the printer. Lower-end machines with relatively low volume ratings cost more to use than higher-priced, higher-volume ones. Nowadays, while you can still find plenty of printers that follow that model, several major printer manufacturers are offering alternatives—what we call “bulk–ink” printers.
These technologies (Brother’s INKvestment Tank, Canon’s MegaTank, Epson’s EcoTank, and HP’s Smart Tank Plus and Instant Ink) deliver running costs that are a mere fraction of the traditional replacement consumables model. (HP also recently debuted its Neverstop brand of monochrome laser printers that, instead of delivering replacement toner in costly cartridges, stores it in reservoirs inside the printer that you fill from inexpensive containers—$16 per refill or 0. 6 cent per page.)
EcoTank, MegaTank, and Smart Tank Plus are all cartridge-free technologies. Instead of pricey cartridges that often contain their own expensive printheads and electronics, these machines also store their consumables in internal tanks that you fill from inexpensive bottles.
All three technologies deliver similar running costs of about 0.3 cent per monochrome and 0.9 cent per color page, with an exception being Epson’s recent, small-business-focused EcoTank Pro brand, which offers both black and color pages for about 2 cents each. EcoTank Pro marks a change from the earlier bulk-ink model, which was to charge a premium (as much as three to five times the cost of a comparable cartridge model) for a consumer- rather than business-class printer with an uninspiring feature set and mediocre volume and capacity ratings.
Though they still cost three or four times as much as comparable non-bulk-ink printers, EcoTank Pro machines deliver the volume, capacity, and features most small offices require. So do many Brother INKvestment Tank and HP Instant Ink models—cartridge-based designs that aren’t quite as penny-pinching as other bulk-ink printers, but cost less to buy.

In any case, unlike a few years ago where your running-cost options were limited, today it’s much easier to find a printer with per-page costs appropriate to your printing and copying needs, though it may require a little more research up front. That’s where our reviews come in.
What Do I Need in Paper Handling and Print Volume?
If you and your colleagues need to print spreadsheets on legal-size paper, produce marketing material on premium glossy media, or occasionally print a sheet of labels or a company check, you’ll want a printer with multiple drawers or trays. Increased capacity is also a must if your office prints a great deal. Waiting for paper refills or constantly reconfiguring the drawer for different-sized media is a drag.
Many printers come with a simple one-sheet override tray for printing one-off envelopes, forms, or labels. Some medium- and high-volume models come with (or can be expanded to use) multiple paper input sources, such as two drawers in the front of the chassis and a tray that pulls out from the back. Higher-end machines support paper-input expansion through add-on drawers and bins.
Input capacity is related to a printer’s volume, which manufacturers usually gauge on a monthly basis. The two most common measurements are the duty cycle (the peak number of pages the printer is rated for churning out each month) and the maximum suggested print volume (also expressed in number of pages per month).

What to Do When Your Printer Won’t Print
Typically, these volume measurements are miles apart. When a machine’s monthly duty cycle is, say, 50,000 pages, the suggested monthly volume is usually 10 percent of that or less. When buying a medium- or high-volume printer, it’s best to let the suggested print volume be your guide. While a printer can run pegged out at its maximum duty cycle month in and month out, it will require less attention and last a lot longer if you hew closer to the suggested volume rating.
What Kind of Printer Connectivity Do I Need?
With the explosion of handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets, nowadays you have lots of ways to connect to your printer. The standard interfaces comprise two main kinds of wired connections (Ethernet networking, or connecting to a single PC via USB) and a whole bushel of wireless ones (802.11 Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication or NFC, Mopria, Apple AirPrint, and more).
Of this list of wireless standards, only Wi-Fi and AirPrint are actual local area network (LAN) protocols. The others are primarily peer-to-peer protocols that allow you to connect a handheld or other device directly to the printer without either piece of hardware being part of a LAN. NFC is unique among them, in that it allows you to connect to the printer by simply tapping the NFC-enabled device to a hotspot on the printer, usually on or near the control panel.

In addition to all these, most business printers and AIOs also support connectivity via several popular cloud sites, such as Google Cloud Print, Microsoft OneDrive, Box, and Evernote. Most of today’s business printers come with Ethernet (at 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1,000Mbps) and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a smattering of the other options listed in the previous paragraph. Ethernet is the fastest and most secure, and often preferable for office environments; Wi-Fi, which few printers lack nowadays, is highly convenient, as well as plenty fast enough for most uses.
If you need to position a printer away from a spot where you can run Ethernet cable easily, make sure the Wi-Fi function is included in the price. A few printers, especially at the business high end, may make you add it via an add-on hardware option, which may not be cheap. In any case, most of today’s printers also provide free downloadable apps that let you connect your smartphones and tablets over a wireless network.
What Kinds of Controls Should I Look For?
The wider the feature set—the more a printer or AIO does—the greater the need for a robust control panel or web-based controls. In today’s business printers, we’ve never seen a more diverse set of printer command options, from simple panels consisting of a button or two and a few status LEDs to tablet-size, customizable color touch screens capable of presenting separate configurations for individual users or departments.
In addition to executing walk-up functions, such as making copies or printing from cloud sites, these graphical control panels allow you to make security and other configuration changes, monitor and order supplies, and generate elaborate usage, security, and other reports. Similarly, and often more easily, you can also control, configure, and monitor most business printers via an onboard web portal that you access from your PC, phone, or tablet browser.
How Do I Choose the Right Size Printer for the Job?
Just as there are many different types and sizes of businesses, there’s a multitude of business printers with a dizzying array of overlapping capacity, volume, feature set, and expansion options. At PCMag, we divide printers and AIOs into three loosely defined categories based on how much work they’re called upon to do:
Entry-level or small office/home office (SOHO): These machines serve small, low-volume print and copy environments of five or fewer users, producing no more than a few hundred pages each month.
Midsize or small to medium business (SMB): These printers accommodate about five to 25 users in medium-volume print and copy environments, of up to a couple of thousand pages monthly.
High-volume or enterprise: Devices at this level are designed to crank out thousands of pages each month. Often part of a fleet, they offer staunch security options and are usually highly expandable, sometimes with multiple add-ons such as staplers, sorters, and high-capacity paper-input drawers and bins.
With the above information in hand, you’re ready to start narrowing down the dizzying number of single- and multifunction printer choices facing your business. The rest of this roundup below outlines our favorite business printers and AIOs of varying capacities, speeds, and sizes according to usage case. We hope they further your printer education and help you make the right choice, whether your company’s on the Fortune 500 or on the kitchen table.

The choice of an MFP is a rather urgent issue today, as it is used in every office and not only
The MFP is a multifunctional device that has several functions at once – copying, scanning, faxing and printing. Users love it for its compactness, economy and ease of use. The choice of this office equipment depends on many parameters and is a responsible event, since several types of equipment are built into one equipment at once.
The MFP is used not only by office workers, but also by students and teachers, photographers and illustrators, freelancers and advertisers, etc. Therefore, the quality of office equipment has a direct impact on the result of activity.
In this article, we will consider what points should be considered when choosing a device.
Print type
First of all, before buying an MFP, you need to find out what type of printing the device has: inkjet or laser. The latter has the property of fast printing of paper documents and improved text print quality. In this case, the toner is consumed less, which is great for multiple printing and copying. The paint does not dry, but refilling it yourself is quite difficult and in most cases the help of a specialist is required.
Inkjet counterparts have much lower power consumption, but increased paint consumption. The print speed is much slower. In the case when office equipment stands idle for a long time, the paint may dry out. Another annoying factor can be extra noise, as the print head moves from left to right and back during operation, which causes some vibration. The advantage of inkjet technology is its compactness.
Separately, we single out thermal printers. They lack ink completely, and the printing itself occurs by heating a sheet of paper in specific places. The print quality on these devices is mediocre. Therefore, considering such a parameter as the type of printing, for documents, a laser device will be the best choice.
Operating speed
The optimal indicator of high print speed is 30 sheets per minute, the average is 20. The print speed differs in the following modes:
- black and white;
- color;
- copy.
On a multifunction device, manufacturers list information about the average print and scan speed in the specifications.
Paper size
The standard paper size used is A4 (available in every MFP). If you are engaged in creative activities and you need to print voluminous photos, banners, ads, etc., then you should choose wide-format devices. They must have the function of printing A3 documents.
Note that some printing houses and publishing houses use A2, A1 and even A0 formats.
Feed and print resolution
In some cases, a continuous print feed is required. The ink here is supplied continuously thanks to the built-in interconnected volumetric reservoirs that transfer the ink to the print head – such solutions are typical for inkjet models.
Offices that do multiple copies, prints, and scans every day need to replace costly cartridges on a regular basis. Consequently, large tank volumes do not need to be refilled frequently. Their location is located on the outside of the device, which allows you to control the level of ink.
The print resolution is also indicated in the technical specifications of the device, or on the label of the equipment. The optimal value for documents is 600dpi. But, accordingly, the higher this indicator, the better the quality. For example, photos require a resolution of 2400dpi.
Connection methods
In most cases, the MFP is connected to the computer using a USB connector. When a remote connection is required, here you need to select a device that supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi. They allow you to connect the MFP directly over the local network. This feature is quite convenient, because with a wireless connection, the device can be placed anywhere.
Using Wi-Fi, a stationary PC or laptop is connected to the MFP without using a special cable. Printed commands are given remotely, at a remote level.
Manufacturing companies
The choice of manufacturers on the market is quite wide, but this also implies some difficulties. Consultants in stores usually praise each brand, so it is quite difficult to decide on the final purchase.
Note that the leaders in print quality are the following brands:
- HP;
- Canon;
- Xerox;
- Epson;
- Samsung.
Office equipment from HP and Canon is quite reliable. If you’re looking for professional-grade printing, then Xerox is the perfect choice. With regard to inkjet MFPs, the well-known company Epson is especially popular.
Selection errors
When choosing an MFP, many buyers make some mistakes. First of all, you need to more carefully calculate your financial capabilities. It is impossible to carry out a large volume of printing without buying additional cartridges. Therefore, the cost of ink and cartridges is similar to the cost of the device itself.
A good way to save money is to buy a device immediately with CISS – a continuous ink supply system. With self-installation of CISS, there is a possibility of device breakdown, while the equipment is removed from the warranty. Returning the device to the factory state in this case will cost a fairly large amount of money. But if you still decide to upgrade your MFPs, contact the organizations that deal with this and give a guarantee for work.
Note that some users immediately pay attention to the price of the device and act on the principle: “the more expensive, the better”. But in practice this is not always the case. The cost of the device can be justified by the high quality of printing, but some necessary functions will be missing. If office equipment is intended for home use, then it is not worth buying it for a lot. There is no point in this case.
As a result of the article, we note that when choosing a multifunctional device, you should decide in advance on the purpose of its use and study the necessary characteristics. Thus, you can make the best choice.

Multifunctional device (MFP) selection – printer – scanner – copier
Home / Selecting a multifunctional device (MFP) – printer – scanner – copier – fax
Before you buy a multifunction device.
What you need to know about MFP options
All-In-Ones are becoming increasingly popular with both small and home businesses and large public and private companies.
And it’s no surprise: An MFP can save a lot of workspace, reduce energy costs (power consumption) and increase productivity by efficiently connecting traditional office print, fax, scan and copy devices into a single hardware and software data center.
MFPs (also known as all-in-one devices) are continually decreasing in price and improving in features.
Do you really need a multifunction device?
All-In-One (MFP) is essentially a printer with added scanning, copying and faxing capabilities. Typically, a printer manufacturer will offer both a basic printer and an all-in-one device based on the same printing engine. Even if you don’t have the regular need to send/receive faxes, scans or copies that are available in the MFP, the device gives you the opportunity and flexibility to take advantage of this when necessary.
If your business does not require scanning/copying and faxing, the “printer only” option is less expensive to purchase and will be easier to use, since MFPs usually come with scanners, optional automatic document feeders, which at least increases size and weight, with more sophisticated control panels and additional software for faxing, scanning, etc. you don’t need.
Choosing the printer type
If printing is the main and primary purpose of a multifunctional device, then the main thing is that your needs (tasks) correctly match the capabilities of the printer. More expensive models are usually designed for higher print speeds and more intensive use.
For your first printer purchase, it’s important not to get confused by the different printer types, printing technologies, speed/workload ranges (performance) and operating costs (at least the cost of a copy based on the price of consumables). This is important to understand before you buy a printer.
Fortunately, there is a wide range of MFPs available that are built with both inkjet and laser printing engines. There are even MFPs that allow you to create excellent color photo printing. At the same time, we must not forget that there are no universal solutions and, accordingly, devices (therefore, there is a huge variety of them). If you need to print a lot of black-and-white documents, then inkjet technology is excluded as unreliable and expensive (compared to laser) and extremely slow. After all, once you leave your printer for a few weeks on vacation or a business trip, you will be forced to buy a new print head that costs half the price of a new printer. At the same time, with numerous shortcomings of inkjet printing, printers continue to be produced because modern laser devices will not allow you to print a photograph of such quality as a professional inkjet printer. Also – with color documents – only a color laser printer can allow you to print several hundred pages or more during the day as part of a group of several people, while at the cost of a copy several times cheaper than an inkjet one.
Do you need a fax?
Some modern all-in-one printers (MFPs) no longer include fax modems and are no longer needed by companies that no longer fax with customers or suppliers in document management technology. Faxing is still handy for sending/receiving documents that require signatures, but running your own fax requires the necessary settings and options with a real phone line. A regular telephone line can be integrated with fax and telephone sets, in which case sending/receiving faxes is not a problem. Sometimes faxing requires a separate telephone line.
If you would like to be able to send/receive faxes and don’t want the hassle and expense of maintaining your own fax, there are several online services that allow you to send and receive faxes via email, the internet or via your smartphone.
Scanning
Most MFPs have scanners with low or medium resolution (up to 600 dpi, dots per inch), allowing you to scan a sheet. If you need to scan at high resolution (for example, photographs or other similar media – slides, negatives), then you will need either a separate stand-alone professional scanner or a specialized MFP that is designed to work with photographs – this is always a device based on inkjet technology, which in in turn will entail numerous disadvantages of inkjet printing in exchange for a high-quality photo. If you need to scan double-sided multi-page documents – your choice will lie from productive laser MFPs for workgroups, to the purchase of a professional document scanner, which not only allows you to quickly enter hundreds of multi-page documents, but also to automatically process the entered information in accordance with the procedures you specified – programs.
Automatic document feeders (ADF)
The scanning / copying function in multifunction devices is implemented in two ways – flatbed (one sheet, on one side), it is also called “manual” and automatic using a special device that allows you to process multi-page documents, it is possible , on both sides.
If you plan to fax, scan, or copy large, multi-page documents, make sure the MFP you choose has an automatic document feeder (ADF) with sufficient sheet feed capacity. As a rule, less expensive MFPs have an ADF capacity of 20-30 sheets, while more expensive models, for group work, can load 50 sheets or more. Separately, to scan double-sided documents, the automatic document feeder must also be reversible (sometimes called RADF).
Automatic Duplex (2-Sided Print/Scan/Copy/Fax)
If you regularly need to scan, fax and, most importantly, print two-sided documents, you need an automatic duplex device that will automatically turn the page inside your MFP. If your MFP does not have automatic duplex, but you need to print on both sides of the page, then you can print one side, then take the printed page(s), insert them correctly into the paper input tray, and print the reverse(s) again. pages. This is tedious and unfortunately error-prone, mostly due to the need to remember the correct positioning of the sheets in the tray to print from the back, so auto duplex is considered to be a very desirable feature, especially now considering it’s not an expensive choice that it wasn’t there before.
Connectivity
When it comes to connecting your All-In-One (MFP), more options are better.
