What is a monitor arm?

A monitor arm suspends a display over your desktop. It utilizes a cantilever design, where interconnected arm sections support a VESA interface. How should I choose the best monitor arm?

There are several things we look for when choosing the best monitor arm – all factors that we’ve considered when making our selection above. Firstly you want a monitor arm that’s going to be solid and sturdy enough to support your monitor and allow you to move it without it feeling unstable (always check the max monitor weight, which we’ve listed for each item). This is even more the case if you use a touchscreen monitor.

A good monitor arm should also be adjustable in terms of height, swivel and tilt in order to allow you to position it in exactly the right angle for where you’ll be sitting. Finally, although not essential, it’s worth looking for monitor arms with cable management systems, which help keep those cables in order and avoid clutter at the back of your desk.

How do you set up a monitor arm?

Most monitor arms are fairly simple to setup, but make sure you check the instructions that come with them. In most cases, they’ll attach to to the back of your monitor with a VESA mount, which is a square arrangement of four screw holes. Different arms have different bases and mechanisms for attaching to your desk (or a wall), but in most cases the options we’ve chosen attach to your desk using a clamp system that doesn’t require any work on the desk itself.

There are two types of monitor stands: straight and angled.

By the way, I want to draw your attention to the fact that the model discussed above is not a figment of my imagination, but a real module that has been put into mass production by a well-known furniture factory. Therefore, be vigilant, gentlemen, carefully analyze the designs of future products, as even the leading furniture manufacturers make miscalculations and mistakes.

1. 1. High stability. An internal vertical bulkhead runs down the center of the stand and ends very close to the edge of its top cover. Thanks to this, you can safely place the monitor anywhere on the stand cover and be sure of the stability of the whole structure.
2. 2. Efficient space saving. Compared with the previous model, our product is more functional and makes it easier to access things under the top cover of the stand. To be honest, I would not call this access ideal, but of the many design options for corner monitor stands, in my opinion, this one is the most optimal and convenient.

Product dimensions

When calculating the dimensions of the stand, take into account the dimensions of the monitor screen.

Optimal dimensions for a straight monitor stand: length – 500mm, depth – 250-300mm, height – 120-130mm.

Corner stand most often has dimensions: length – 400-500mm, depth – 400-500mm, height – 120-130mm.

Separately, I would like to say about the height of the stand. It is the height of 120-130mm that allows not only to optimally install the monitor relative to the user’s eye level, but also provides convenient access to things under its top cover. Some manufacturers make the product height 90-100mm, which creates discomfort for PC users – there is a place under the top cover of the stand, but you can’t really use it.

In this buying guide, we offer you a choice of best support for monitors buy in 2021.

Below you’ll find everything from simple desktop mounts to more sophisticated ones equipped with VESA mounts.

Desktop Monitor Stands

As the name suggests, these are monitor stands designed to be placed on a table. They usually also include some extra features aimed at improving desktop organization and saving space, such as extra shelves and/or storage compartments.

Fitueyes is a company more or less specialized in stands, be it monitors, TVs or universal stands. Thus, it is not surprising that their products made it to this list.

This first monitor stand is a simple no-frills wooden stand with a neutral matte black finish. Also available in two versions: with or without a shelf. It goes without saying that the latter is the best option if you need extra storage space on your desk.

All in all, this is a simple and affordable monitor stand whose main strength is simplicity. While we found the stand itself to have no flaws, we’re sure some people would appreciate a greater variety of colors to match certain desktop surfaces, but unfortunately this stand is only available in black.

Indicates product:

• Proper adjustment of all four legs can be difficult

For those who really don’t like the black finish of the old base, Fitueyes has an alternative that might be preferable: glass.

This stand consists of a fairly thick tempered glass panel that rests on four silver legs. Now this not only means a smaller footprint, but also adjusts the height of the legs. Also, while there are no options this time around that include shelves, this stand is available in two versions that mostly differ in width: 15-inch and 20-inch.

There are no major issues with the stand itself, although if you plan on using the adjustable feet it can be a little tricky to level the stand.

Indicates product:

• Slightly more expensive than similar products

If neither wood nor glass suits you, Halter’s metal LZ-500 monitor mount may be your best bet. This is a sleek black stand with two shelves and extra space underneath. There is nothing outstanding about the booth, except for the excellent build quality.

This could be good or bad, depending on what you’re looking for. If all you want is a simple monitor stand with good build quality, this might be the perfect option. On the downside, it doesn’t offer extra features for that extra money, so those who aren’t overly concerned with build quality may not find it worth the investment.

• Not the best build quality

Next up we have a similar monitor mount, although it focuses more on storage capacity than aesthetics or build quality.

The SimpleHouseware Monitor Stand has a roomy top shelf but also has three additional compartments: one on the bottom and two smaller ones on the sides. This can be great if you need to arrange a bunch of small items on your desk, even if they aren’t necessarily office accessories.

The only thing this product lacks a bit is the build quality as it is not as strong or stable as other metal stands.

And now we have a very simple but very well thought out solution from AmazonBasics. Its stand resembles the Halter LZ-500 in appearance as it is also a black metal stand with a similar design.

However, since it’s not invented, it looks much cleaner and more minimal than its halter counterpart, and lacks extra shelf space. However, the support for AmazonBasics monitors more than makes up for it with excellent build quality.

While there are no obvious flaws in the mount itself, some will no doubt find that the build quality alone doesn’t justify the price, especially when there are similarly priced mounts that include some handy extras.

Indicates product:

Although it’s the same brand and price, AmazonBasics Adjustable Stand’s main strength is what the name says: adjustable.

Instead of metal, it’s made of black plastic, which, while not cheap, is very different from the strength and visual appeal of a metal stand. The main advantage of the stand, as mentioned above, is that it can be adjusted with removable legs, giving a total of 3 height adjustment options.

This mount has no inherent flaws, but as you might have guessed, the plastic frame, as strong as it is, can leave someone alone, especially when there are mounts with all-metal frames in this price range.

• Plenty of storage space for accessories

Indicates product:

• Padding and storage slots don’t look good when empty

With the Songmics base, we took a break from all the dark highlights as it has a much more visually pleasing bamboo texture.

In addition to looks, the Songmics stand also features various notches and grooves to help organize your desk. This is a great way to reduce desk clutter and is sure to please those with particularly cluttered desks.

However, all these recesses can reduce the overall aesthetic appeal of the stand if you have nothing to store in them. In this case, they simply turn into ugly spots on a beautiful bamboo surface.

Monitor arm mount

The second category consists of, as the name suggests, mounts that use VESA mounts. Most of them mount to the side of a table with a space-saving clamp, but the greater degree of adjustment they offer is their main advantage over conventional table mounts.

• Available in three versions

• Not the coolest bracket/mount on the market

First, we have several different stands from Wali:

1. Regular table stand

This basic version uses a table edge clip. The VESA mount is attached to a bracket covered in cable management pins, and this bracket is attached to a fixed vertical stand.

2. Gas spring bracket

As with the previous version, a clip is used to attach the stand to the table, although this option is a bit more elegant when it comes to the look of the bracket as well as cable management (see image below). A wall-mounted version is also available.

3. Independent mounting

Finally, there is a simple stand-alone version that sits on a table like a regular stand. The actual kickstand on this version isn’t the prettiest, and the kickstand, while lacking a lever, still adjusts well.

Each version supports 75 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 mm VESA templates, which is the monitor standard. Overall, for a fairly modest price, each of the above Wali mounts is a well-constructed, easily adjustable monitor mount.

The only problem some might find is that each version has minor flaws when it comes to aesthetics, but that’s easy to overlook given the great value of these mounts.

The following products from Vivo These are similar to previous Wali solutions, although they differ in that they are specifically designed to work with two monitors.

Vivo stands are also available in several versions:

1. Regular table stand: as before, this version uses a clip to attach it to the side of the table.
2. High Table Stand – The only difference is that it is slightly higher than the regular version.
3. Freestanding Stand – Again, this is the version designed to sit on a table.

Vivo stands are surprisingly inexpensive, except for the high variant. With that in mind, build quality suffers a bit as the arms aren’t as stable as you’d expect from some of the higher quality mounts. However, it’s still a very good deal if you have a dual monitor setup.

And finally, we have another set of AmazonBasics products, although these few stands are far from basic. This premium monitor stand is available in single and dual monitor options, both of which attach to your desk with a clip. Also, like the previous two products, it supports 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm VESA templates.

However, the first thing you’ll notice that sets these AmazonBasics apart from the Wali and Vivo described above is their superior build quality, although that also means a noticeably higher price.

The AmazonBasics Premium Monitor Mounts are slightly more adjustable, better built, and include quality plastics in their construction for a simpler, more aesthetically pleasing look and a more careful approach to cable management.

All in all, if you’re looking for a quality VESA mount monitor mount, this is your best bet. However, if you feel like the great build quality or the retractable bracket doesn’t justify the high price, you’re better off getting either of the above two brackets.

Table or fixture – what to choose?

The first choice you have to make before deciding which stand to choose is between desktop stands and stands equipped with VESA soportes. Now there are two more important factors to consider: accessibility and regulability.

Bracket brackets have two obvious advantages: is more adjustable than and it saves more desk space (the latter applies if you choose the one with clips). However, the most important thing to consider is the possibility of adjustment. If you can’t get comfortable or want to view your monitor from different angles, it’s best to install it.

Table stands, for the most part, is cheaper than . Not only that, but they also tend to be more discreet and, as you can see, some of them have extra features that can really help organize your table.

In general, we recommend using a stand if you want your monitor to be as adjustable as possible. If that doesn’t bother you, then a simple desk stand might be the best way to raise your monitor, free up desk space, and even better organize your desk.

Together with an AutoAudioCentre specialist, we figured out what bass is like, how “bass” acoustics differ from each other and how to choose speakers with good bass for your car.

Bass is different?

Each speaker has its own parent country. Sound lovers from these countries have different musical tastes, which are reflected in the sound of acoustics.

For example, the Italian sound does not have a very rich bass, but it is accurate. When we listen to the acoustics that was created in each of the countries, we hear its handwriting.

Every brand has its own sound color. By this color, even in a blind audition, some manufacturers can be distinguished.

One tries to emphasize the microdynamics in the sound, that is, to highlight the smallest nuances. The propensity for moral panics, rather than calm analysis of the market situation, damages the reputation of industries.

Powered subs are a popular choice for people who want an easy route to adding bass. The subwoofer is mounted in a perfectly matched enclosure, and powered by a built-in amplifier. These all-in-one solutions usually take up less space than the average subwoofer box, so they’re a great choice for smaller vehicles.

Types of powered subwoofers

When shopping for a powered sub, there are two factors to keep in mind: 

1. How much space do you have? 
2. How much bass do you want? 

How much space do you have for a bass system? 

Space is the important factor. If you don’t want to sacrifice storage space, then look at compact powered subwoofers. They have the smallest form factor and can fit nearly anywhere. If you aren’t worried about how much room the subwoofer will take up, then you have more options. 

How much bass do you want? 

Powered subs come in a variety of power levels. The more power it has, the more bass you get. If you’re adding the subwoofer to a factory system, then any powered sub will do. If you have an aftermarket stereo or amplifier powering your speakers, then you’ll want a more powerful subwoofer.

Powered subwoofers provide musical bass fill without taking up all of your cargo space like large boxes loaded with large speakers wired to extra-powerful amplifiers do. In a powered subwoofer, the amplifier is built into the enclosure and prewired to the woofer. This makes for a smaller package and simpler installation. Compact powered subs fit in a lot of different places any in almost any vehicle.

Even little speaker cones can produce large bass sound waves, which are generally between 12 and 30 feet long. Such large sound waves will be unaffected by something as small as a car seat. They won’t get reflected or absorbed and will be heard everywhere in your vehicle. The large size of bass waves also makes it almost impossible for our ears to locate their source precisely, so mounting positions for your compact powered subwoofer can vary with minimal adverse effects.

If you’re handy with tools, you shouldn’t have any problems. You’ll need to run a power wire from your vehicle’s battery to your powered sub’s location, and then a ground wire from there to the chassis. You’ll also need RCA cables to carry signal from your aftermarket stereo, or factory stereo interface device, to your new powered subwoofer. You can install two powered subs in your vehicle if you have the space and your vehicle’s electrical system can support them both. We recommend running the power wire for each sub from a power distribution block, which would get wired directly to the battery with a wiring kit built to handle the total amount of power of both subs. The amount of power your powered sub needs depends on how loud you want your bass to sound and how much auxiliary power your vehicle can support. If you drive an all-electric or hybrid-electric vehicle, we recommend limiting the size to no more than about 300 watts RMS, so it won’t interfere with the electric vehicle’s normal operation. Otherwise, 150 watts RMS will provide ample bass fill with a factory stereo, and up to 500 watts RMS delivers powerful bass for any stereo.

According to iSupply, initial production costs for the premium Xbox 360 with a 120GB hard drive was $500 for the console plus another $55 for other accessories included in the package, such as controllers, power supplies and cables. While Xbox 360 with a 60GB was $300^[2]

The Xbox 360 began production only 69 days before launch. As a result, Microsoft was not able to supply enough systems to meet initial consumer demand in Europe or North America. Many potential customers were not able to purchase a console at launch. Forty thousand units appeared on eBay during the initial week of release; this was 10% of the total supply. By year’s end, Microsoft had shipped 1.4 million units, including 900,000 in North America, 500,000 in Europe, and 100,000 in Japan.

At E3 in May 2006, Bill Gates announced that Microsoft would have a head start of 10 million units by the time Sony and Nintendo entered the market. Microsoft later specified that goal and estimated shipments of 10 million units by the end of 2006.

Cumulative sales from the system’s launch until June 30, 2007 were predicted to reach 12 million units, down from 13 to 15 million units estimated earlier. Being released one year ahead of its competitors, the Xbox 360 was the market leader throughout the first half of 2007. However on September 12, 2007, it was reported by the Financial Times that the Xbox 360 had been surpassed by the Wii in terms of worldwide console sales. On October 4, 2007, soon after the launch of Halo 3, Microsoft stated that Xbox 360 sales had more than doubled compared to the previous average.
Based on figures from October 19, 2007, the Xbox 360 outsold the Wii for the month of September in North America, helped in part by the spike in sales seen after the launch of Halo 3, which sold 3.3 million copies in the U.S. in a 12-day period. The Xbox had sales of 528,000 units for September, while the Wii had sales of 501,000 units.

However, despite these sales figures, Microsoft’s gaming division is losing money. Through 2005, the Xbox gaming division had lost over $4 billion. However, Microsoft expects the console will start making money in 2008. The losses are due to the market strategy of selling consoles below cost in order to obtain market saturation and gain profits on software and peripherals that have a much higher profit margin. Also notable is that Microsoft has taken a charge of $1 billion dollars on its June 2007 Income Statement to account for the cost of replacing bricked Xbox 360s.

As of January 1, 2008, the Xbox 360 has sold 9.15 million units in the United States according to the NPD Group and 548,308 in Japan according to Enterbrain. In Europe, the Xbox 360 sold 2 million units in 2006 and 1.9 million in 2007 according to estimates by Electronic Arts.

On February 13, 2008, Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 suffered shortages in the US in January 2008, possibly continuing into February. Prior to the release of the NPD Group’s video game statistics for January 2008, the Xbox 360 has been in second place behind the Wii in US sales in most months since the Wii and PS3 were released, according to data by the NPD Group.

Xbox 360 – The second game console from Microsoft, which followed the Xbox. The console’s main competitors are Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii as the seventh generation gaming system. Most of the features of the Xbox 360 are represented by the Xbox Live service, which allows you to play online, as well as download a variety of content – video games, demos, trailers, music, TV shows, and more.

Xbox 360 was officially announced on MTV on May 12, 2005, and more information about the console was revealed later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. All consoles available at the time of release were successfully sold in every country except Japan. As of June 2010, there are 41.7 million Xbox 360s worldwide.

At a presentation held at E3 on June 14, 2010, Microsoft announced the new Xbox 360 model, which went on sale the same day. The “redesigned” Xbox 360 was thinner than the previous model and featured built-in 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output, five USB 2.0 ports (compared to three on the old console), and dedicated AUX port. The sale of older Xbox 360 models has been stopped from now on. The first box in this series has a 250 GB hard drive, while the later and economical version comes with a 4 GB memory card.

At the time of the announcement of the said Xbox 360 S, Microsoft stated that their console was only halfway through its life cycle and that it would continue until 2015. In 2009, the Xbox 360 was named the sixth greatest video game console of all time by computing website IGN, appearing in a list of 25 positions. At the largest exhibition of games Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013, an updated design of the Xbox 360 was presented.

In 1998, Microsoft began development on a new game console. Three years later, the company introduced its first game console – Xbox, equipped with a modified version of Windows 2000. The console was mastered on Microsoft’s own technologies and gained popularity, the console took second place in console sales worldwide.

Development[]

Development of the console began in 2003 under the code names Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox FS, Xbox Next and NextBox. In February, under the leadership of Vice President Jay Allard, the planning process began, with a conference held in Bellevue, which was attended by more than 400 developers. At the same time, Peter Moore (former president of the US branch of Sega Enterprises) joined the company. On August 12, 2003, ATI signed an agreement to supply a graphics processor for the new console, which was announced two days later.

The price for a regular Xbox 360 console is $249.99 and comes with a removable disk (60GB), wireless controller, headphones, HD AV cable, Enternet cable, power cord and remote control.

The Xbox 360 Arcade is priced at $199.99 and includes a wireless controller and 256 OP.

The Xbox 360 Elite is priced at $299.99 and includes a black console, black controller and black headset. Hard drive 120GB or larger.

Initially, the junior edition of the console was the Xbox 360 Core. On October 23, 2007, Microsoft replaced it with an “arcade” edition. It stands out because it includes 5 Live Arcade games for free. The original Xbox 360 Arcade came with a wired gamepad, a 256 MB memory card, and an Xbox Live Arcade disc. The latest package options do not include a memory card and 5 arcade games, but the console has 256 MB of internal memory and already a wireless gamepad. Just like the older trim levels, the Xbox 360 Arcade has an HDMI output. Currently out of production.

Xbox 360 Pro[]

The Pro package replaces the Premium version of the console. In the new versions of the console, a new motherboard and an improved cooling system were installed, thanks to which the set-top box heats up slightly. The package has become the best choice for those who do not want to buy the Elite version, but want a 60 GB hard drive and a component cable. Currently out of production.
