New Sony FX30 Cinema Mirrorless Camera with APS-C sensor

Company Sony introduced
a new mirrorless camera of the Cinema line – Sony FX30 . New
can be called the junior model FX3,
presented about a year and a half ago, since it is equipped with almost such
same body, but not with a full-frame sensor, but with a new APS-C format sensor.
The camera has a resolution of 26 MP in photo mode 3:2, 6192×4128 and 20.1 MB when shooting
video – Super 35 mm, 16:9, 3840 × 2160 pixels. The manufacturer positions the FX30
first of all as a video camera, and only secondly as a camera for shooting
photos, according to the company’s idea, it is designed for bloggers and beginners
operators. The declared price is $1800 per case.

Since the Sony FX30 is a camcorder, it makes sense to immediately name the shooting modes –
resolution up to 4K60p, 3840×2160 pixels in All-I / Long GOP h.264/265 codec 10
bit 4:2:2. 4K resolution is resampled to 6K resolution from the whole area
Back-illuminated EXMOR R CMOS sensors for clearer images
4K. There are also cropped modes 1.6x – 4K120p, in Full HD resolution camera
shoots up to 240p.

The Sony FX30 camera offers several software solutions designed
especially for content creators, for example, these are 16 user presets
LUTs that can be displayed on both the camera’s LCD monitor and HDMI output.

There are also 3 different AE shooting modes designed for
shooting video, not photos.

• ISO best value – this mode speaks for itself,
  the camera tries to control the sensitivity as flexibly as possible
• Cine EI – the mode is inherited from older models FX6 or FX9,
  it works with a fixed base ISO
• Cine EI Quick – automatic mode with base ISO,
  it is designed for experimentation with Cine EI.

Sony calls dynamic range 14+ stops when using profiles
S-Log 3 and ISO sensitivity ranging from 100 to 32000.

Autofocus in the FX30 uses 90% of the sensor area and 496 focus points,

Compared to the FX3, the camera has no mechanical shutter, no continuous
photography, no uncompressed RAW, the camera is not compatible with an external flash, what else
