Best car alarms in 2018 – 2019

The main task of a car alarm is to protect the car from thieves. If the alarm is unreliable, the car can be easily broken into and stolen. And the driver will only know about it when he sees an empty parking space.

StarLine A93 2CAN+2LIN ECO – best

Pandora DX 50S (2CAN-LIN + IMMO-key) – budget

The power consumption of the Pandora DX 50S is only 7 mA – less than most other models. The alarm will not drain the car battery and will allow you to start the engine after a long period of inactivity.

This alarm has bluetooth. Within its scope, you can control the alarm from your smartphone – arm and disarm the system, start and stop the engine, adjust the sensitivity of sensors and start the engine on schedule.

Thanks to the autorun module, M1 can be installed on a car without a CAN bus. Supports keyless bypass of the standard immobilizer on most car models. There is a SLAVE mode – you can open and start the car from a regular key fob.

Auto start and GSM

Such alarms are connected to a key fob or smartphone via GSM, that is, mobile communications. This allows you to monitor the car at any distance, manage the protection of the car even from another city. The GSM signal is not blocked by jammers.

This alarm has everything: GPS, Bluetooth, built-in ability to bypass the standard immobilizer and work with a regular key fob. Supports preheaters for Webasto and Eberspacher engines – they can be started remotely.

There is no key fob with a display in the alarm kit at all. A smartphone is used to set up the alarm, the car is disarmed by a smartphone or a Bluetooth tag.

A 3G modem is installed in the GSM module, the signal is much better and faster, especially among high-rise buildings or in an underground parking lot. Communication via GSM goes through calls and SMS – you can call the car and ask how it is doing.

Prizrak-8L – economical

The most inexpensive of the alarm systems with GSM. All the necessary functions are in place: keyless start, Bluetooth, built-in CAN controller. There is a free monitoring mode – even without paying for a GSM connection, you can monitor the car from anywhere in the world.

A special feature is the “beach mode”. On vacation, you can close all personal belongings in the cabin along with car keys – to open the doors, you just need to enter a predetermined code using the buttons on the doors or trunk.

Pandora DXL 4910

The CAN controller of this alarm works simultaneously with three CAN buses, which allows it to effectively control the electronics of complex modern cars.

The alarm has a built-in GPS module, Bluetooth, an engine blocking radio relay, the Slave function and keyless entry work. There is an integrated 868 MHz radio module, so the alarm works not only with a smartphone and tags, but also with a key fob.

Types of car alarms
