The Xbox One S originally cost $299. It upscales your current games collection from 1080p to 4K resolution and supports HDR (High Dynamic Range). It also has the ability to stream content from Netflix, and Amazon Video.
There are over 1300 Xbox One games on offer – including major franchises such as Halo, Call of Duty and Forza Horizon – so there’s no chance you’ll get bored.

Confrontation of gaming platforms is one of the eternal and concurrently one of the most holistic topics in the gaming world. What to choose a computer or console, and if a console, which one?
Moreover, the first question is not so acute: those who play on the computer rarely switch to consoles and vice versa.
But the choice of the console itself is a more difficult task. So it is to her that our today’s article will be devoted. If you can’t decide what you need – ps4 or xbox – read on!
The world of game consoles is very different from the world of smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers. Their manufacturers do not tend to produce a large number of different configurations, limiting themselves to one or two models for each generation.
With the names, everything is extremely simple, especially with Sony: the PlayStation 2 was replaced by the PlayStation 3, and it was replaced by the current generation in the face of the PlayStation 4. At Microsoft, the model name is encrypted a little more: the previous generation of the console was called xBox 360 came xBox One.
At the same time, both manufacturers, after the release of a new, current generation of consoles, refuse to further release the “old man”, and support from game developers is also gradually fading away.
Simply put, there is no point in buying past generations of set-top boxes – you only need to take the current versions.
The only choice that both manufacturers give is a basic model and an improved one with advanced features.

Of course, there are differences in design between ps4 and xbox, but it is difficult to call them critical for a gamer. Both devices do not take up much space, are stylish and modern, and simple – this is not the case when you should pay attention to design as the main selection criterion.
But the design of joysticks is a more critical thing, since their shape, size and ergonomics significantly affect the quality of the game. More interestingly, ps4 and xbox gamepads are very different from each other, and it’s not so easy to say which one will suit you better:
The xBox gamepad has a thoughtful shape that is considered the best in the class, but at the same time it is technically simpler and its joysticks are not as accurate as the PS4;
The PS4 gamepad has a slightly less ergonomic shape, but without critical flaws – that is, it is also convenient to use, it has excellent controls, and in addition – there is a touchpad, gyroscope, accelerometer, feedback system (vibration), backlight (4 colors), mono speaker, micro USB, headphone jack, expansion port and Share key.
Simply put, from a technical point of view, the choice here is between the classics and “full stuffing”, and from the point of view of use, you should focus only on your own comfort.
Console set
The biggest difference with these consoles is that the xBox can come with a Kinect, while the PS4 comes with VR headsets (in which case the bundle is called PlayStation VR), a motion controller, or both.
There are also minor differences from a software point of view – they consist in the subscription available to the user.
Sony has one subscription option, PlayStation Plus, which allows you to get some free games, discounts on some new titles, and access to multiplayer.
Microsoft is getting more and more confused, there are three subscription options for xBox:

Live Gold – is a complete analogue of PS Plus, provides access to multiplayer, several free games and discounts;

Game Pass is a subscription with access to a large library of games, and it costs more accordingly;

EA Access is the original subscription option that gives you access to all of Electronic Arts’ games (and there are quite a few!), as well as discounts and in-game currency in the studio’s virtual worlds.

There are also significant differences between the consoles in their technical characteristics. The xBox One is based on an 8-core AMD Jaguar processor clocked at 1.6GHz, while the PS4 uses the same chipset but clocked at 1.84GHz.
The stock of RAM for consoles is the same – 8 GB, but its characteristics and features of use are different. In xBox One, this is DDR3 SDRAM 2133 MHz, 5 GB is allocated for games, the bandwidth is 68 GB / s, the eSRAM is 32 MB. In PS4, 7 GB of memory is allocated for the game, and here there is a newer GDDR5 5500 MHz and its bandwidth is much higher – 176 GB / s. The difference, as you understand, is simply colossal. But that is not all. There are also differences in graphics. Both consoles use AMD’s Radeon chips, but in the case of the Xbox One, the adapter has 12 compute units, while the PS4 has 18 compute units. As a result, the performance is also different:

On the PS4, however, the storage is removable, and you can increase the amount of storage by replacing it with a larger one. It also makes it easy to replace the drive when it fails, which is much easier and cheaper than buying a new console.
Variety of games
The most intense struggle between consoles has always unfolded in the field of “exclusives”: manufacturers released projects for only one platform, and it was for this that players had to buy several consoles or choose a specific platform. Now the situation looks funny. The PS4 has a lot of interesting exclusives in its arsenal that are not available on other consoles or computers. The xBox One has practically no such projects, and many are available immediately or six months after its release on the PC, in the Microsoft Store. To put it simply, buying an xBox for games doesn’t make any sense anymore – you won’t get anything special that you can’t access without it.
Another interesting point.
Sony allows you to share your games. But only if you bought the game on disk, if you download it, it is available only to you. Microsoft is not so generous: the license is tied to your account and is available only to you.
Variety of paraphernalia
Perhaps the only thing in which the set-top boxes are equal is in the number of accessories available for them. Sony releases a lot more interesting options than Microsoft, but the abundance of third-party manufacturers somewhat balances the situation. So you can buy headphones, gamepads, steering or flight systems, keyboards and other accessories for any of the game consoles.
Price question
Well, the last parameter that you should pay attention to is the cost of devices. Surprising as it may sound, the PlayStation is not only not more expensive, but also cheaper than its opponent: for the PS4 you will have to pay about $399, and the xBox One costs $499. As you understand, the conclusion from all this is simple: if you need a console, it’s worth taking the PS4.
Well, from Microsoft it remains only to wait for a new generation of set-top boxes – perhaps it will be more successful.

For whatever reason it doesn’t like to be turned on in a new spot with high sensitivity so I turn the sensitivity all the way down power off usually move location make sure there’s nothing around. And then I turn it back on and I turn the sensitivity up as high as I can go, without it popping in chirping, I do a ground balance. Sometimes I’ll do a ground balance with the sensitivity down lower. This is how I I’ve dealt with my 80 Max issues. Running it out for sensitivity isn’t the norm, like it is on my at pro

Went to a neighbor who had one and used the detector on it laying in the grass, read 43-44 and another read 46-50, both real strong signals, and as I was sweeping over the second one, my Max went crazy and it won’t quit. Numbers bouncing all over the board at 90 mph, depth meter going berzerk, same as what you describe. Tried new batteries, factory reset, ground balance, frequency etc… Called Garrett and they suggested bad coil too. Got a buddy coming over in few minutes who has a pro, we’re going to hook his coil up and see if it continues. Garrett said if that fixed it, they’d ship me out a new coil, and to call back with results. Sounds like excellent customer service, but I expected more than an hour and half running time before problems came up. Did a google search and found your problem. Any news on yours yet? I talked with “Hilda” extension 725, that who you talked with?
It was still crazy, so must be in the head. Will call Garrett tomorrow and see what they say.
I asked them if they have had a bad batch of these with similar problems or was this a common problem, and the two people I talked to acted like it’s the first they’ve heard of the problem. Can’t be, there are 3 people on this thread alone with the same issue. I hope they send me a new one instead of basically giving me a refurbished one (mine back after surgery).
I used an earlier hardware version from a known Garrett sponsored youtuber and his was doing the same thing. Which , BTW is what lead me to buying the AT PRO instead. It’s been rock solid and never once given me crazy ghost signals like I experienced using the Max.
