Best Car Upholstery Wet-Dry Vacuum Cleaners For 2023
In order to determine the best upholstery cleaner for your vehicle, we considered the products most accessible to the widest swath of consumers in the U.S. and evaluated performance, price and value. What are the Different Types of Upholstery Cleaners?
There are also spray-on products that come in a can, but for deep cleaning, a car upholstery wet-dry vac is a better bet and a better long-term investment. These vacuum cleaners fall into one of three categories: Small-ish portable units equally adept for small home jobs as well automotive interiors, large commercial or commercial grade machines available for rent or purchase and a newer breed of tiny cordless units best suited to small, on-the-go cleanups or emergency use.
The majority of this list comprises the first style, as they offer the best combination of value, portability and effectiveness. Some incorporate a motorized scrubbing element, but you can get similar results with a non-motorized unit and little elbow grease. The large commercial units do an excellent job but are bulky and expensive to purchase, although rentals are available. On the other hand, they can be utilized for larger home cleaning projects and are generally constructed to a higher standard for heavy-duty use.
The third and newest type are compact cordless units that utilize a rechargeable battery like a cordless drill or vacuum. They’re undeniably convenient but, at this point, are best for minor cleanups. If you plan on keeping it in your vehicle for emergencies, you’ll need to check periodically that the battery is holding a charge.
How do You Use These Wet-Dry Cleaners?
It’s step-by-step process:
Vacuum thoroughly. Ask any professional cleaner, and they’ll tell you that the most important thing you can do to expedite the shampooing or stain removal of upholstery or carpet is to vacuum it thoroughly first. That means repeatedly covering the desired area until it is completely free of debris.
Pre-treat stains. Most manufacturers and professionals recommend applying a pre-treatment for old or stubborn stains. This could be a proprietary formulation supplied by or recommended by the manufacturer of your cleaning unit or a separate solution available at the retail level. Many independent contractors swear by a Simple Green and water mix. As always, test any cleaner in an indiscreet spot first to check for fading and other non-desirable effects.
Be patient. Let the pre-treatment sit according to manufacturer instructions. If using a general agent, thoroughly dampen the area, agitate gently (make sure not to damage the fibers), then rinse and blot the area dry.
Begin vacuuming and follow the vacuum’s instructions. Now, begin using the wet-dry cleaner precisely following the manufacturers’ instructions. The “wet” cycle generally sprays or injects the cleaning solution into the fabric or carpet and then sucks it back up in a single motion with the stains and dirt embedded in the solution. Some require a second pass to remove the solution, completing the “dry” portion of the process.
Let your carpet dry (and be patient, again). Air drying is convenient and preferred, but the process can be expedited by blotting followed by the placement of a fan or small heater; be careful, however, as some fabrics and substrates can get stiff and fibrous with the application of too much-forced heat.
What Kinds of Stains Can Be Cleaned?
Thanks to modern science, nearly every type of stain and odor can be removed from a vehicle’s interior. Unfortunately, time is your enemy, as every minute a stain sits can make it harder to remove. As always, protein-based stains—blood, dairy, sweat and other bodily fluids—present the most significant challenges, though special products are available to attack these stains. Some, like crayons, may benefit from applying heat and scraping a blunt object to start the removal; the ink from magic markers is particularly difficult to remove and may require a professional application of solvent or re-dying of the material.

KP top 11 rating
Modern vacuum cleaners for carpets and upholstered furniture can replace professional dry cleaning. With the help of washing models, it will be possible to cope with stains on many surfaces in the house. The quality of cleaning directly depends on which model you purchase.
Our rating of the best washing vacuum cleaners for dry cleaning carpets and furniture in 2023 can help you choose. Together with the sales consultant Valery Udovenko, we will analyze the principle of dry and wet cleaning, examine the nozzles and find out what additional functions in the device will be most useful.
So, in order to answer the question of which vacuum cleaner is best for carpets and furniture, you should understand what home dry cleaning equipment is and what characteristics are most important when choosing:
If you have carpet in your house, several large or small rugs, sofas, armchairs and ottomans – you can’t do without a washing vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, even the most powerful models for dry cleaning cannot handle the smallest dust particles in the pile and on other surfaces. Therefore, the first thing you need to pay attention to is suction power furniture cleaner. When choosing, focus on a figure above 300 watts. The indicators below are suitable for classic floor cleaning, but such models will not be able to clean the upholstery and pile from stubborn dirt;
Equally important is the volume of tanks for clean and dirty water. Choose the volume depending on the intended cleaning area – the larger the room, the more capacious the tank is needed. For example, a tank with a volume of 4 liters or more is suitable for a one-room apartment, and twice as much for a private house;
The next item is complete set , since different coatings require different nozzles. Including a turbo brush, which is especially necessary for pet owners. It helps to effectively collect pet hair from carpets. In each case, you need to evaluate which nozzles are already in the kit, as well as whether additional accessories are available for purchase;
Ask about “consumables” . For example, how much does a defoamer (a special solution for water vacuum cleaners), replaceable filters and other parts that need to be replaced cost.
Below we present to your attention the best models of washing vacuum cleaners for cleaning carpets and furniture in 2023.

KARCHER PUZZI 8/1 C
KARCHER PUZZI 8/1 C. Photo: yandex.market.ru
suction 400 W is suitable for wet cleaning and cleaning of textiles, upholstery of upholstered furniture and various carpets. Due to the center of gravity shifted to the bottom, this vacuum cleaner does not tip over during the cleaning process, and thanks to the long hose (2.5 m), it is convenient for the user to clean the most inaccessible places.
The water supply comes from an 8 liter container. The intake air is cleaned of dust through an aquafilter, thus all impurities settle in the water tank. This is especially important for people with allergies, because the air in the room is purified, humidified and fresh as a result of cleaning.
The set does not include a hard surface nozzle, which means that for classic floor cleaning it will have to be purchased separately, as well as a cleaning agent for dry cleaning, for example in the form of tablets or liquid. The disadvantages of the model are the inability to carry out only dry cleaning and manual winding of the cord.

At the same time, the vacuum cleaner performs washing of the carpet to the full depth of the pile and thoroughly cleans the upholstery of the furniture. The suction power of the device is 325 watts.

The air is filtered through a HEPA filter to retain fine dust.
In order not to damage the furniture during operation, the manufacturer has provided soft shockproof inserts on the case, which are made of impact-resistant plastic. This is a real multifunctional unit, which is convenient to store in a regular closet or pantry due to vertical parking.
If you’re looking for a vacuum cleaner that can be used for more than just dry cleaning, consider this model – you don’t have to buy replacement dust bags, in this case, a single Aqua-Box serves as a reservoir for dust and waste.

Also, buyers consider the power cord short, because its length is only 5 meters. Another vacuum cleaner from the German company Thomas deserves attention for its two filtration systems. The cyclone filter is designed for dry cleaning, and the aqua filter is for air washing and wet cleaning. At the same time, waste containers are also different: Dry-Box for garbage (2.6 l), Aqua-Box (2.6 l) – for dirt and dust settled in the water. The HEPA filter (High Efficiency Air Filter) retains the smallest dust particles and is easily washed from contaminants under water.
The vacuum cleaner effectively cleans fluff and removes dust, allergens, stains and helps return the natural color of the material. The manufacturer recommends using Pro-Tex branded detergent (not included) to make dry cleaning as effective as possible. Customers do not like that there is no compartment for storing nozzles in the body of the vacuum cleaner. In addition, the fastening of the water supply hose was not very well done (sometimes the hose detaches from the base on its own).

9. Atvel F16
Atvel F16. Photo: yandex.market.ru
The Atvel F16 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner is suitable for washing and dry cleaning at the same time. For cleaning carpets, a roller with long bristles is used – it collects hair and wool along the entire length of the pile. The 2600 mAh battery gives the user the opportunity to vacuum for no more than half an hour, then the device must be connected to a power source (for a full charge, you will have to wait about two hours).
A huge advantage is that the vacuum cleaner itself rinses the roller and nozzles using the auto-clean function, which makes it much easier for the user to complete the cleaning process. On a special LED display, you can see notifications in case of a lack of water or an overflowing waste bin. It should be borne in mind that the suction power of a handheld vacuum cleaner is small – 150 watts.

The model is suitable for wet cleaning, cleaning mattresses and furniture upholstery. Carpets are cleaned with a Vax vacuum cleaner using one of 8 nozzles: a classic brush, for cleaning liquids, a turbo brush, nozzles for upholstered furniture, floor and parquet and crevice. The vacuum cleaner has a long ten-meter power cord and a four-liter detergent tank. A metal telescopic tube will help, for example, to clean the curtains.
The volume of the aquafilter of this model is 2.5 l, and the dust container is 7 l. Get ready for the fact that cleaning shampoo will have to be bought regularly, and it is not cheap, but as an alternative, you can use non-original shampoo. A HEPA filter is installed to purify the exhaust air.
The vacuum cleaner isn’t small or light, but it’s easy to store thanks to its vertical design and handy suction tube attachment on the body. According to customer reviews, the suction power of the device does not match the one declared by the manufacturer.

How to choose a washing vacuum cleaner for dry cleaning carpets and furniture
How the vacuum cleaner works
The peculiarity of the vacuum cleaner is that cleaning is carried out with water. It is she who retains the smallest particles of dust and pollution. Instead of a dust bag, the washing vacuum cleaner has containers for clean and dirty water. There are models on the market with both one tank and two. The user needs to fill the tank with water, add defoamer or cleaning solution and start cleaning. First, the liquid is sprayed onto the contaminated surface, and then, together with the dust, the water is sucked back by a powerful air stream.
Some models have special deep filters so that the air coming out of the vacuum cleaner is disinfected and as clean as possible. Many washing machines have one drawback – a lot of weight, which is due to the design features. But this property is compensated by the high quality of cleaning.
Here are a few rules to consider when choosing a carpet and upholstery cleaner:
Power
Do not confuse power consumption with suction power. For example, in one model, the consumed power is 1.7 kW, and the suction power is 320 W. The first number indicates how much electricity the vacuum cleaner consumes. And here it is to our advantage if the value is less. Indicators from 1.7 kW to 2 kW are considered average.
Quite the opposite is the case with suction power – the higher it is, the more powerful the cleaning tool will be. The optimal power is considered to be from 350 watts. If the figure exceeds 800 W, this is already a professional cleaning device on an industrial scale (for example, in hotels). All characteristics can be found in the passport of the unit or on the manufacturer’s website.
Filtration
Most vacuum cleaners work on the principle of aqua filtration. The task of the device is not just to suck in crumbs and dust, as in dry cleaning, but to immerse these contaminants in water. There are also models equipped with HEPA carbon filters. They hold the smallest dust particles missed in the previous cleaning step.
Volume of water tanks
Before purchasing, it is important to compare the volumes of water tanks with the planned cleaning area. The 4 liter tank is suitable for cleaning rooms up to 40 m². For cleaning houses (100 m²), it is better to choose an 8-liter tank.
Complete set
The quality of cleaning depends on which attachments are included in the purchase of the device. We are talking about the number of coatings in the house that the vacuum cleaner can handle. As standard, the set includes a universal brush, crevice and carpet. If the user wants to expand the functionality, you can choose a vacuum cleaner model with a large number of accessories or buy additional brushes for washing the floor, glass surfaces, a nozzle for cleaning upholstered furniture and others.
Noise level
If you do not want your vacuum cleaner to make noise when working, for example, as a rotary hammer, choose a device with a noise level below 70 dB. Unfortunately, powerful vacuum cleaners cannot work silently, so most often you will find a figure in the range of 75-80 dB. If the numbers are higher, cleaning will become an extremely uncomfortable task.
Popular questions and answers
Together with expert sales consultant Valery Udovenko we answered the most popular questions from readers about cleaning vacuum cleaners for carpets and home furniture.
What are the main parameters of carpet and furniture vacuum cleaners?
If during the selection process you chose a model that is suitable for suction power (for high-quality cleaning, it is advisable to choose vacuum cleaners with a suction power of 300 W), do not forget about interchangeable nozzles and consumables, take a closer look at the dimensions of the future device. The fact is that a unit weighing more than 5 kg, although it moves around the house on wheels, is unlikely to help vacuum the surface of the cabinet or mezzanine. It will be difficult to lift or move it.
At the same time, you need to understand that a powerful vacuum cleaner cannot be completely light, and if you need to work at arm’s length, you should look at manual cordless models. Puzzled by the choice, it is better to ask if the vacuum cleaner can remove the remnants of used detergents from textiles, if it eliminates odors in the room, if it can be used for disinfection.
Can a vacuum cleaner with a carpet cleaning function replace professional dry cleaning?
If home dry cleaning is done regularly with professional detergents and a high suction vacuum cleaner, then yes. There will be only one advice here: when buying home furniture and carpets, you should immediately think about how easily dirt eats into the material, and what care recommendations the seller gives. Often the result of chemical cleaning directly depends on the material of the product and the nature of the contamination, and not only on the power of cleaning equipment.
Is dry cleaning harmful to upholstered furniture?
The cleaning process itself can have a negative effect on furniture for two reasons: if poor-quality cleaning products are used and if they are not properly matched to the nature of the dirt. Surely you have noticed that for different fabrics there are bleaches and laundry detergents of different composition. If you use proven powders and gels that match the nature of the dirt, there will be no harm from dry cleaning. In this case, the material will not lose in color, texture and patterns will not suffer. But you can effectively get rid of parasites and dirt if you choose a good vacuum cleaner for furniture and do not save on consumables.

Best Gaming Chairs with Speakers Buyer’s Guide
The Most Important Factors to Consider
If you’re shopping for the best gaming chairs with speakers, you need to consider the sound system and connectivity. If bass and vibration are important features, look for a model with a subwoofer. Likewise, being able to connect remotely with wireless or Bluetooth support helps eliminate wires. But also think about the style of gaming chair that’s most compatible with your needs and if it offers enough adjustment support so you can customize it to your needs. And don’t forget to think about additional features such as built-in massagers, a fold-flat design, or additional storage.

Top 10 Best Gaming Chairs with Speakers
#1 X Rocker Pro Series 2.1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
4,876 Reviews
Our #1 Pick is the X Rocker Pro Series 2.1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:TOP PICK
WHY WE LIKE IT: A gaming chair with speakers for the PS4, Xbox, and a variety of console pairings that features a 2. 1 sound system with vibration for wireless connectivity and a built-in control panel — all in a pedestal chair.
Pros
Built-in control panel
2.1 sound system
Wireless console support
Cons
Lacks recline functionality
X Rocker is a popular gaming chair brand and it’s easy to see why. Their Pro Series features a 2.1 sound system which translates to two built-in speakers on the sides of the headrest and one built-in subwoofer in the back of the backrest. So in addition to bass support, you’ll also get vibration motors. But as if that wasn’t enough, this chair supports wireless and wired connectivity which means that you can skip the audio jack controls if you prefer a wireless connection. Feel relaxed while you game with our best massaging gaming chair.
The pedestal chair supports console pairing and is compatible with most major gaming console brands. This gaming chair with speakers for the PS4, Xbox, and many other consoles features a fully padded backrest and headrest along with faux leather upholstery. While it lacks recline support, you do get rocking functionality. Note that there’s also a side control panel in the seat so you can control the volume, as well as manage wired connections. Also, note that this is not a Bluetooth supported chair. However, a nice feature that’s exclusive to all chairs from X Rocker is that you can connect it to other chairs from the brand for a multi-game mode. It’s one of the best console gaming chairs with speakers.
#2 Gtracing Gaming Chair with Speakers

10,515 Reviews
Our #2 Pick is the Gtracing Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:HONORABLE MENTION
WHY WE LIKE IT: A wheeled gaming chair with a near lay-flat reclining range that includes two Bluetooth-enabled built-in speakers and adjustable armrests for a chair that can pull double duty for gaming or work.
Pros
A near lay-flat positioning range
Bluetooth enabled built-in speakers
Wireless console support
Cons
Lacks a footrest
Narrow 15” seat
The Gtracing gaming chair with Bluetooth speakers is a popular choice for many people because it offers some of the more traditional features associated with gaming chairs while also offering built-in speakers. The Gtracing gaming chair allows for an immersive entertainment experience thanks to the Bluetooth-enabled speakers for a truly wireless experience. They’re located behind the headrest and can be paired with any other Bluetooth-enabled device. Also, note that this chair has one of the largest weight capacities from our research for this product category. With a 300-pound capacity, this is a great choice for a wider range of users.
We noted that this is also one of the few gaming chairs with speakers that features an adjustable height range. However, we did find it odd that while this Gtracing chair features a deeper 80-degree recline range that shifts from 90 to 170 degrees, they failed to include a footrest. Another oddity is that this chair has a very narrow seat at just 15 inches wide. So, we think this might be a better pick for kids, teens, or very petite adult gamers. But we do like that this chair comes in six colors and that the Bluetooth speakers come with a 16-foot range. Other standard features for this type of wheeled gaming chair includes the 360-degree swivel motion and adjustable armrests. You might like our best reclining gaming chairs buying guide for additional options.
#3 Cohesion XP 2.1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
706 Reviews
Our #3 Pick is the Cohesion XP 2.1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST QUALITY
WHY WE LIKE IT: A slim rocking gaming chair with a 2.1 sound system that’s portable thanks to the fold-flat design and features a built-in control panel with volume control and audio jacks.
Pros
Rocker style floor model
2.1 sound system
Includes volume control with in/out audio jacks
Cons
Lower weight capacity
Not wireless
This simple floor rocker gaming chair from Cohesion is a great option for kids or teens thanks to the slim portable design. We like that this chair features the 2.1 sound system design which includes two built-in headrest speakers and one subwoofer. You’ll get a control panel that’s set into the side of the chair as well. And the lightweight 18.9-pound size makes it a great portable option if you’re sending your kids off to a gaming session at their friend’s house.
However, keep in mind that while this chair comes with a sound system, those speakers don’t support wireless connectivity. Thankfully, the side control panel features audio jacks along with volume controls. Likewise, you’ll like that when your kids aren’t using this chair, it folds flat for quick and easy storage. We did note though, that due to the slimmer dimensions many users noted that this chair isn’t ideal for heavier individuals — which is why we think it’s one of the best gaming chairs for kids or teens.
#4 X Rocker Surge Wireless Gaming Chair with Speakers
1,724 Reviews
Our #4 Pick is the X Rocker Surge Wireless Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST CONNECTIVITY
WHY WE LIKE IT: One of the best Bluetooth gaming chairs thanks to the Bluetooth-supported 2. 1 sound system, console connectivity, daisy chain chair connection support, and a weight capacity of 275 pounds.
Pros
Supports up to 275lbs
Bluetooth-supported 2.1 sound system
Supports console connectivity
Cons
Lacks armrests
It’s no secret that X Rocker is a popular brand for gaming chairs. We think their Surge model is one of the best Bluetooth gaming chairs because you can easily connect it to any manner of Bluetooth-enabled devices. But beyond audio playback devices, you can also pair it to a wide array of popular gaming consoles. And you’ll get a Bluetooth range of 30 feet which is pretty standard for most Bluetooth-enabled devices. However, keep in mind that this is a floor rocker gaming chair so while you get a built-in control panel, you have limited adjustments such as reclining, 360-degree swivel, or a wheelbase.
The X Rocker Surge features a 2.1 sound system which is two built-in speakers with one subwoofer. Keep in mind that since this is an X Rocker gaming chair, you can daisy chain this chair to other X Rocker gamer chairs to create a shared gaming experience. As is fairly common with the X Rocker rocking floor chairs, the Surge supports up to 275 pounds. And while you don’t get much in the way of adjustments, you do get an ergonomic design that includes full padding throughout the backrest, headrest, and seat. And as is common for X Rocker gaming chairs you can fold the Surge flat for easy storage. You might also like our best floor gaming chairs buying guide additional gaming options.
#5 X Rocker Extreme III 2.0 Gaming Chair with Speakers
731 Reviews
Our #5 Pick is the X Rocker Extreme III 2.0 Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST ON A BUDGET
WHY WE LIKE IT: A great beginner gaming chair with a foldable floor rocker design that features two built-in speakers, a control panel, and support for up to 275 pounds.
Pros
Supports up to 275 pounds
Rocker floor gaming chair
2 built-in speakers with control panel
Cons
Requires wired connection
Lacks subwoofer
Gaming chairs can be very expensive — especially if you want a chair with all the bells and whistles. We think the X Rocker Extreme III is a great compromise. As our Best on a Budget recommendation, it’s a wallet-friendly solution. But it still comes with built-in speakers so you can achieve that immersive gaming experience. This floor rocker is designed to support up to 275 pounds and features a fold-flat design for easier portability or storage.
While this pick has speakers, keep in mind that it’s only a 2.0 system which means that you get one speaker on each side of the headrest but no subwoofer. Also, this is a wired system so you’ll need to manually connect your console or playback device to the chair to utilize the speakers. While that might be a deal-breaker for some, you still get chair connectivity to other chairs from the X Rocker brand for a multi-game experience. As a rocker, this chair lacks armrests but does offer a fully padded backrest and headrest.
#6 X Rocker Pro Series h4 Gaming Chair with Speakers
2,771 Reviews
Our #6 Pick is the X Rocker Pro Series h4 Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST SOUND SYSTEM
WHY WE LIKE IT: A sturdy floor rocker chair with a 4.1 sound system for bass and vibration that supports wireless connectivity to consoles and can be paired with other X Rocker chairs for multi-game mode.
Pros
Connects remotely to consoles
Can be paired to other X Rocker chairs
Includes side control panel
Cons
Lacks Bluetooth support
Armrests are fixed
If you’re looking for a gaming chair, it’s pretty obvious from this guide that X Rocker has quite a few options available for you to choose from. This X Rocker Pro Series h4 model is a solid choice if you’re focused on immersive sound. This floor rocker gaming chair has one of the best sound systems we’ve seen from our research. You’ll get a 4.1 surround sound system for enhanced sound quality and the ability to hear all sound effects from your game. The 4.1 designation translates to having four speakers and one subwoofer. The speakers are located on each side of the headrest and each side of the seat while the subwoofer is behind the backrest. While these speakers aren’t Bluetooth-enabled, they do support wireless connectivity. But you’ll also get a side control panel in the seat for a wired connection if you need it and volume control.
As is common with the X Rocker brand, the Pro h4 can be paired with other chairs from the brand for a multi-gaming mode experience. And as with other X Rocker rocking floor chairs, the h4 can support up to 275 pounds. Because there’s a subwoofer, along with bass support, you’ll also get vibration modes for a more immersive gaming experience. And while we like that this chair has armrests, they’re fixed and don’t support a flip-up movement. The ergonomic chair also offers a fully padded backrest, headrest, and seat. And another common X Rocker floor chair feature is the fold-flat design for compact storage. For added luxury, check out our best massage gaming chairs buying guide.
#7 X Rocker Vibe 2.1 Bluetooth Gaming Chair with Speakers

661 Reviews
Our #7 Pick is the X Rocker Vibe 2.1 Bluetooth Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST FLOOR DESIGN
WHY WE LIKE IT: A sleek mesh floor rocking gaming chair with a Bluetooth-enabled 2.1 sound system, flip-up armrests, built-in control panel, and a fully padded chair for a comfortable gaming experience.
Pros
Built-in side control panel
2.1 sound system design with Bluetooth support
Flip-up armrests
Cons
Limited recline range
If you’re curious as to why we nominated the X Rocker Vibe as the best rocker design, that’s because it features flip-up armrests. While this might not seem like a big deal, many people — across all chair configurations — find armrests annoying since they can make you feel cramped and uncomfortable if they cut into the width of a chair’s interior space. With flip-up armrests, you can enjoy the full width of this chair without feeling constrained. But you’ll also like that this pick comes with a 2.1 Bluetooth-enabled sound system. This means that you can pair this chair with any other Bluetooth-enabled device. However, we did note from our research that some consumers had issues trying to pair their PS4 to the chair via Bluetooth.
Still, the 2.1 sound system means that with the two speakers and one subwoofer, you also get vibration support for an immersive gaming experience. As with other X Rocker floor rocking chairs, you’ll get a 275-pound weight capacity along with support for multiple chair connections with other X Rocker gaming chairs. Other key features include a built-in control panel in the side of the seat and a fully padded backrest, headrest, and seat. It’s a great complement to the best gaming console!
#8 Von Racer Rocking Gaming Chair with Speakers
2 Reviews
Our #8 Pick is the Von Racer Rocking Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST SEAT WIDTH
WHY WE LIKE IT: A comfortable pedestal style gaming chair with a larger 20.8-inch wide seat, a Bluetooth supported 2.1 sound system, flip-up armrests, and a plushly padded design.
Pros
Durable stationery design
2.1 sound system with Bluetooth support
Flip-up armrests
Cons
No true recline support
If floor rockers sound a little uncomfortable, we understand. So, we’re fans of this pedestal stationary rocker chair from Von Racer. We think it’s a great recliner chair style design with plush padding throughout the chair. You’ll get a 2.1 sound system that supports Bluetooth connectivity. The two speakers are situated on each side of the headrest while the subwoofer is behind the backrest. But most importantly, we like that this has one of the widest seats we’ve seen at 20.8 inches. However, the weight capacity is a little low for a pedestal chair at 270 pounds.
Still, this rocking chair offers 360-degree swivel support and has a deeply padded design throughout the headrest, backrest, seat, and footrest. Although you don’t get recline support, we do like that this chair folds for easy storage. There’s also an additional headrest pillow which can be removed if you prefer. The padded armrests also flip up if you prefer not to use them. Note that this chair does not offer height adjustment. Also keep in mind that while some consoles will connect easily to this chair via Bluetooth, other users may need to use the wired connections through the control panel. For higher weight capacity, you’ll need the best big and tall gaming chairs.
#9 X Rocker Premier 2.1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
36 Reviews
Our #9 Pick is the X Rocker Premier 2. 1 Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST FOR ENTERTAINMENT ROOMS
WHY WE LIKE IT: A gaming recliner chair with speakers with a classic theatre-style design that has a 2.1 Bluetooth sound system, built-in cup holders, and recline functionality with an extending footrest.
Pros
Sturdy stationery design
2.1 wireless Bluetooth sound system
Built-in cup holders
Cons
Doesn’t support full lay-flat recline
Theatre style seats are a popular option if you’re trying to create a gaming or entertainment room and want plus seating that can do more than support you during your next gaming session. While X Rocker might be better known for their floor rocking gaming chairs, they do offer other models as well. The Premier model is a great gaming recliner chair with speakers that’s perfect for your home entertainment room. This pick features a 2.1 sound system with two speakers and a subwoofer that also supports vibration for an immersive gaming experience.
While the brand failed to share how large the recline angle is for this chair, you do get a retractable footrest to properly support you in the farthest reclining positions. More importantly, we like that this is a Bluetooth-supported gaming chair so you can connect your consoles or other devices that are also Bluetooth enabled. Note that this pick does come with RCA cables if you prefer to use a wired connection through the built-in control panel. But we also like that this pick comes with two built-in cup holders so you can keep your choice of hydrating beverage close at hand. And as is standard with the X Rocker brand, this chair can be paired with other X Rocker chairs for a multi-game session. Great for anyone looking for the best gaming gear for their gaming room.
#10 X Rocker Deluxe Mesh Gaming Chair with Speakers
17 Reviews
Our #10 Pick is the X Rocker Deluxe Mesh Gaming Chair with Speakers
Award:BEST AIRFLOW
WHY WE LIKE IT: A breathable mesh upholstered pedestal base rocker chair with flip-up armrests and a 2. 1 wireless sound system that can connect with other X Rocker chairs for enhanced gameplay.
Pros
Supports daisy chain connectivity
2.1 sound system design
Flip-up armrests
Cons
Doesn’t support recline
Doesn’t fold
While most gaming chairs feature a vinyl or PU leather upholstery, not everyone is a fan of that. And this is especially true if you’re the type who gets hot after sitting for long periods or with the excitement of playing your favorite video game. So, we like the X Rocker Deluxe Mesh gaming chair because it’s one of the few mesh rockers that we’ve seen. And that translates to enhanced breathability and a more comfortable experience — especially if you’re sitting for an all-nighter gaming session. This pick from X Rocker has a wireless supported 2.1 sound system with two built-in speakers on the sides of the headrest and a subwoofer behind the backrest.
So, along with bass, you’ll also get vibration support. You’ll also get wireless console connectivity where available and the choice of using the built-in control panel in the seat to manage connectivity and the volume. And because this is an X Rocker chair, you can connect it with other chairs from the brand for a multi-game mode gaming session. We like that this chair features padded flip-up armrests and full padding throughout the headrest, backrest, and seat. However, we were a little surprised that this pick doesn’t fold flat.
How We Decided
For someone shopping for a gaming chair with speakers, the goal is to create an immersive experience where you feel like you’re either in the game you’re playing or the movie or show that you’re watching. To create our guide, we focused on the following core features — connectivity, style, adjustability, support, material, and additional features. In our guide, we focused primarily on rocker style chairs that are further divided into floor rockers and pedestal rockers. But it’s possible to find wheeled and recliner gaming chairs with built-in speakers.
Connectivity is an important feature since it impacts how easily you can connect media devices to your chair. The ideal choice is usually Bluetooth since you get a wider connectivity range and it tends to be fairly easy to manage. But we also prioritized wireless connections. However, even if your chair supports Bluetooth or wireless connectivity, you’ll also want to look for audio ports so that if you’re struggling to manage a remote connection, you can fall back on RCA cables for a manual wired connection. Along with connectivity, consider the sound system. In most cases, you’ll find a configuration that includes speakers and a subwoofer. But in less expensive models, it’s possible to find chairs that only offer speakers. These cheap chairs are a reason why some gaming chairs suck, as they are a key feature of the chair but don’t live up to the price you pay for it.
Most rocking chairs lack seat adjustments or recline support. At best, you can rock back and forth. We only included one gaming chair on wheels that featured seat height and recline adjustment. But we also included a theatre-style reclining chair with a deeper reclining range. Another adjustment we looked at were armrests. Not all gaming chairs come with armrests. But if you’re focused on having them, we recommend flip-up models that give you a wider range of motion and are less likely to inhibit the full width of the seat. This is why you should know how to pick the right size gaming chair. Even if your weight doesn’t necessitate a big and tall chair, some chairs have very narrow armrests or seats that can be uncomfortable, whereas a big and tall chair will offer more room and may be more comfortable for you.
Most gaming chairs are designed to be extremely supportive. And as you saw in our guide, all of our recommendations include a fully padded headrest, backrest, and seat. In some cases, you can also find retractable footrests which are helpful if a chair features a deeper recline range. And finally, we looked for additional features. With this product category, the main additional feature we found was additional storage and folding configurations.
Best Gaming Chairs with Speakers Buyer’s Guide
The Most Important Factors to Consider
Connectivity If you’re shopping for a gaming chair with speakers, the most important feature you need to consider is how you’re going to connect your speakers either to your console or other entertainment devices such as televisions, computers, or music players. Ideally, you’ll want a wireless connection which is usually limited to wireless and Bluetooth. Bluetooth connectivity is usually a premium option and the price will reflect that. But you should also look at whether a chair allows for analog wired connections. This can be important if you have issues connecting the speakers wirelessly to your devices. But not all gaming chairs with speakers support audio jack connections.
Sound System Since you’re shopping for a gaming chair with speakers, you’ll want to pay attention to the sound system. You will usually find a 2.1 sound system which is two speakers and one subwoofer. Along with providing bass output, a subwoofer also supports vibration modes. But you can also find 4.1 sound systems with four speakers and one subwoofer. But, if you’re ever replacing a chair due to speaker issues, you’ll want to know how to dispose of a gaming chair with speakers.
Style Gaming chairs are available in a range of styles from common models with a caster wheelbase to theatre seating and even stationary models that swivel. You can also find floor rocking chairs with built-in speakers. The version you pick is going to depend on your taste and which you think is best for your needs.
Adjustability You want a gaming chair that you can customize. So, you’ll want to look for features such as the reclining range, if the armrests are adjustable, and even if the height is adjustable — especially if you’re going to use a gaming chair at a desk.
Support Gaming chairs are very popular because of their enhanced support features. While most gaming chairs feature a fully padded backrest and headrest, you’ll also want to look for other key features too. Specifically, many chairs come with additional adjustable lumbar support and headrest pillows for added comfort. And because many gaming chairs feature deeper recline ranges, you’ll want to also consider whether the chair features a footrest to provide total support when you’re in a deeper reclined position. Also, be sure to adhere to the gaming chair weight limits to avoid putting an unnecessary burden on the chair and have it wear out faster.
Material Most gaming chairs are made from vinyl or bonded leather. But occasionally you can find other options such as microfiber and fabric. But vinyl and bonded or PU leather are usually the most popular because they’re very durable and easier to keep clean.
Additional Features Along with built-in speakers, gaming chairs can come with a wide variety of popular features that enhance their functionality and create a completely immersive gaming experience. You’ll find that some chairs also support console connectivity. But other popular features can include built-in massagers or even built-in storage that includes pockets and cup holders.

Managed to damage or lose the charger for your MacBook Air? Here are the best replacement options.
The MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops in the world. It may no longer be the lightest laptop around, but especially since it was refreshed with the Apple M1 chipset in 2020 —and now the M2 model launched in 2022 — it’s one of the most powerful ultrabooks out there, and certainly one of Apple’s best Macs. In general, Apple products are very popular among students, and the latest MacBook Air is too, but that can also mean they’re subject to some unfortunate events. Whether you lost your original MacBook Air charger or somehow damaged it, you may find yourself in need of a replacement.
To help you out, we’ve rounded up some of the best replacement chargers you can get for the MacBook Air, whether you’re rocking one of the latest models or an older one. Most of the recent iterations of the MacBook Air charge via USB Type-C, but the 2022 model also supports the new MagSafe 3 charger. Older models still use MagSafe 2, and even older ones might still use the original MagSafe design, but for something that old, you might just want to consider buying a new laptop instead. With that being said, here are some of the best chargers you can get for your MacBook Air.
Apple 30W USB-C Power Adapter
Apple 30W USB-C Power Adapter
This is Apple’s basic 30W charger for the MacBook Air, just like the one that comes in the box. It has a single USB-C port, and you can use a USB-C to USB-C cable or a MagSafe 3 cable with it.

Fast charge iPhone and iPad with MacBook Pro charger?
Recommendations to fast charge iPhone (or iPad) usually include picking up the 20W power adapter from Apple or similar. But what about using a higher-powered USB-C charger from your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air? Follow along for which iPhones and iPads you can fast charge with Apple’s MacBook chargers or third-party options.
Fast charging offers up to 50% battery in 30 minutes. But picking up a new USB-C to Lightning cable and 20W charging block from Apple costs $40. Third-party options cost less, but what about using something you already have?
The good news is that modern iPhones and iPads work with all MacBook USB-C chargers, even up to the 140W model.
While it may sound strange, it’s safe to use Apple’s higher-powered USB-C chargers, as your iPhone or iPad is what determines the power it receives, not the charger. Apple even does its own testing with the whole range of its USB-C power adapters.
Note: depending on the current capacity of your battery, your device will pull different levels of power. For example, a battery charging at 10% will draw more power than one at 80%.
Fast charge iPhone / iPad with MacBook chargers?
Apple says the following iOS devices are compatible with its 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W, 96W, and 140W adapters for fast charging:
iPhone 8/8 Plus and later
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st generation and later)
iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
iPad Pro 10.5-inch
iPad Air 3rd generation and later
iPad mini 5th generation and later
Apple notes you can use its USB-C to Lightning cable or that “a comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)” will also work like Anker’s Powerline series.
If you’re looking for a more flexible USB-C charger or want an extra, Anker’s 40W dual-port USB-C charger and 65W 3-port charger are great choices to fast charge iPhones and iPads simultaneously.
With the iPhone 13 and 14 Pro Max being able to pull up to 27W of power, using 30W+ power adapters will give you the fastest charging times.

7 Best Macbook Air Chargers
Technology in modern society is everything! Almost no work is complete without a laptop; it is universal in studies and useful for hobbies. In general, devices are quite actively used in all areas and are presented on the market in a huge assortment. Many brands compete for the title of “best” in the laptop category, but not everyone succeeds. For work, users often choose laptops from Apple – the line is called Macbook and is still replenished with new convenient models. Their advantages are ease and convenience of work, as well as impeccable design.
However, there are often problems with the bundle – this is a normal situation for various types of devices, often a variety of components are purchased with the device. In addition, the specificity of the brand regarding the charger (and headphones, in case of buying a phone) in the models of recent years allows them to sell only the device itself, since the chargers could remain from the previous model. The problem is that such material is often broken or lost – in a word, it is always needed. And it’s not easy to choose.
Main selection parameters:

Features
Choosing an analog charger for Apple is not so easy due to the fact that it is often unsafe or useless. The fact is that a device of poor quality does not charge as well and is not used for as long as the original charger or its high-quality analogue does. In addition, it is very difficult to determine by eye which device can be called good and which cannot be very difficult. It is important to note that such devices have several components. Adapters are of primary importance – the emphasis is placed on them. They provide fast charging, are able to replenish the charge better or worse than others, and also have connection features. As a rule, choosing the adapter itself is the most difficult.
There are several types on which compatibility depends. The type of model also plays an important role – of course, by default it is a network adapter in the form in which we are accustomed to seeing it, but in some cases they look more like static small devices with several connectors – sometimes it is much more convenient.
Connector type
Basically, the choice is based on the type of device you want to charge. It depends on which port is needed, since models of different years of production present cables with a variety of devices. It is on this, as a rule, that the direct functionality of the device depends – on the type of connector. Choosing it correctly is quite simple: just look at the factory model. If in doubt, you can determine compatibility by the type of model that the user has – as a rule, this information in the MacBook line is located on the back of the case.
Functions
In addition, great importance is paid to the comfort of using the device: its compactness, the presence of additional connectors, as well as the specifics of transporting the device. Recently, the fast charging option is also gaining popularity when choosing: it is he who helps to charge the device much faster, in a couple of hours to a sufficient level.
Don’t forget the safety mechanism. The device must be protected from overheating and power surges.

A1882 Apple MacBook Air 13″ (30W, USB Type-C)
fast and convenient charging of several devices at once . Convenience lies primarily in the fact that the size of the charger is quite small and similar in size to a standard adapter, but it contains two cords with the ability to charge devices regardless of their power and power consumption – charging is completely protected, while working at full power . The charge is given without difficulty and instantly, while using it is very simple and comfortable due to the size of the device. The white model fits perfectly into any workspace, you can take it with you and charge, for example, your phone and laptop, without using two sockets and two adapters for this. The device is very reliable and will obviously be a great investment for those who need to simultaneously recharge two devices using one device.
Support for fast charging for each of the inputs will be a great addition to this model, and the ability to charge Apple equipment will come in handy, since this brand is especially popular. For Air laptops, charging at a high level of comfort and efficiency is only available for 2018 models and later. In addition, it is possible to charge iPhone models (the list can be viewed on the site), as well as Samsung Galaxy (the list can be found there), as well as iPad devices, headphones and watches of the same company.
The OpenRun Pro are the best-sounding bone conduction headphones we’ve tested, and mean you no longer need to make big compromises on audio quality if you want to opt for an open-ear headset. They also boast an impressive quick charge function that delivers an hour and a half of playback after just five minutes of charging, while a full charge will keep them going for up to 10 hours. The downside of the upgraded hardware is that they now vibrate more noticeably against your skin. If you can tolerate that tickle though, they’re easy to recommend.

Two-minute review
Shokz (formerly known as AfterShokz) has long held the top spot in our guide to the best running headphones, and the OpenRun Pro are its best-sounding headphones yet.
The main difference between this new set of headphones and the Shokz OpenRun (originally called the Aeropex) is the addition of new bass transducers to the pads that channel vibrations to your aural nerve.
The upgrade is immediately noticeable when you hit play, and means opting for bone conduction rather than in-ear headphones no longer means a big compromise on sound quality. It’s particularly impressive if you enjoy heavy music, which is far richer than with other bone conduction headphones.
The downside of the new transducers is the way they vibrate more noticeably against your skin. It’s no more than a tickle, but if you prefer to run with the volume high then you may find it becomes irritating over time. All bone conduction headphones suffer from this to some extent (it’s pretty much unavoidable due to the way they work) but the extra bass means it’s particularly tangible here.
Shokz is the new name for AfterShokz, which rebranded in December 2021 (Image credit: Future)
Shokz OpenRun Pro (Black) at Best Buy for $139.95
The other upgrades here are small, but thoughtfully designed. For example, the control buttons used to adjust power, volume, and tracks are now slightly larger so they’re easier to press when you’re wearing the headset. Shokz has also relocated the OpenRun Pro’s charging connector so it’s no longer occupying the same area as the buttons, and is easier to use.
Like the recently upgraded OpenRun, the OpenRun Pro have a quick charge feature that gives you an hour and a half of playback after just five minutes of charging; a game-changer if you’ve forgotten to power them up and it’s time to hit the gym. If you rely on tunes to get you through a workout, they come highly recommended.
Price and release date
Most expensive Shokz to date
Available to order now
The Shokz OpenRun Pro were announced at CES 2022 on January 5, 2022, and became available to pre-order from the company’s website the same day for $179. 95 (about £130 / AU$250). That makes them the most expensive headphones in the Shokz lineup.
For comparison, the Shokz OpenRun (originally known as the AfterShokz Aeropex) cost $159.95 / £149.95 (about AU$240) when they landed in October 2020. At the budget end of the range, the Shokz OpenMove launched at $99.95 / £79.95 (about AU$140),
Larger buttons than OpenRun
Repositioned magnetic charging port
IP55 water resistance rating
Shokz has struck upon a design that works, and the OpenRun Pro don’t deviate from that formula. Following the same OpenFit schematic as the company’s other headphones, they feature a pair of pads that sit on your cheekbones and transmit sound via vibrations to your aural nerve, leaving your ear canals open. These pads are joined by a flexible but springy titanium band, which keeps them firmly in place while you run without ever pinching (an issue we sometimes had with the budget Shokz OpenMove).
A large button on the left pad allows you to receive calls using the headset’s built-in microphone, and the right pad features multi-functional controls for power, volume, track, and battery status.
The OpenRun Pro are currently available in black and blue.
The OpenRun Pro have new bass transducers in the earpieces that deliver greatly improved sound (Image credit: Future)
At first glance, the new headphones looks almost identical to their predecessor, the OpenRun, but there are a few significant differences. Firstly, the control buttons are larger, making it easier to adjust the volume, skip tracks, and power the headphones on and off without seeing what you’re doing. Holding the volume down button during playback will tell you whether the power level is high, medium, or low.
Secondly, the charging connector has been repositioned. Like the OpenRun, the OpenRun Pro use a proprietary magnetic charging cable, which is much easier to connect than the fiddly micro-USB used by older models. However, for the newer model, Shokz has moved the charging port so it’s no longer in line with the control buttons, making the cable easier to connect.
In all other respects, the two headsets are very similar. The OpenRun Pro are very lightweight and comfortable, even for long runs, and their light titanium construction means they never bounce as you move.
They have a water resistance rating of IP55, which means they’ll be fine when you’re sweating hard or running in the rain, but aren’t suitable for swimming. For that, you’ll want a set of waterproof headphones like the Shokz OpenSwim.
Shokz Trekz Air (left) and OpenRun Pro (right). The newer headset has a magnetic charger rather than micro-USB, a lighter build, and greatly improved bass (Image credit: Future)
Performance
The sound quality of the Shokz OpenRun Pro is extremely impressive. The new bass transducers make a real difference, and the overall result far surpasses anything we’ve experiences from bone conduction headphones in the past. We particularly enjoy a rock and metal playlist while running, and the OpenRun Pro are the first model that really does justice to heavy music. It’s not on a par with a pair of top-tier conventional headphones yet, but the gap is definitely closing.
The downside of the extra bass is that you don’t just hear it – you can also feelit as a more noticeable buzz against your face that pulses with each beat. All bone conduction headphones produce this effect to some degree at high volumes, but it’s particularly noticeable with the OpenRun Pro.
The sensation isn’t uncomfortable, and unless you crank the volume up high it’s little more than a tickle, but if you’re wearing the headphones while concentrating at work then you might find it a distraction.
The OpenRun Pro follow the same basic design as Shokz’ other headphones, but it’s been refined for convenience and comfort (Image credit: Future)
Another frequent problem with bone conduction headsets is the sound leakage; with no silicone seal between the transducers and the outside world, it can be easy for those nearby to overhear your songs, audiobooks and phone calls. You might annoy workmates in a quiet office if you crank up the volume on the OpenMove Pro, but when kept at modest levels they’re the least leaky Shokz headset we’ve tested to date.
Despite the improved bass, ambient noise is still clear thanks to the open-ear design. Many noise-cancelling headphones have a ‘transparency’ mode that uses a microphone to transmit external sound to your ear, but this doesn’t give the same directional awareness you get from bone conduction headsets.
When AfterShokz announced that it was rebranding as ‘Shokz’ in December 2021, it also launched a new version of its Aeropex bone conduction headphones with quick charging. This is a feature that it’s carried over to the OpenRun Pro, and a five-minute charge while you’re getting changed and lacing up your running shoes will provide 1.5 hours of playback.
The Shokz OpenRun Pro has a quick-charge feature that gives over an hour of playback after just five minutes of charging (Image credit: Future)
When the OpenRun Pro begin to run low on juice, a voice will warn you that it’s time to charge them. You’ll receive two warnings before the headset powers off, so if you’re close to home or at your desk, you’ll have time to plug them in.
A complete charge will keep your music playing for up to 10 hours (a figure matched in our tests) which is the most impressive battery life of any headset we’ve tested to date. If you’ve been turned off other bone conduction headphones due to their short playtime, it’s well worth checking out the OpenRun Pro. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Buy it if
You want a set of all-purpose headphones The OpenRun Pro are excellent running headphones, but they’re also comfortable enough to wear all day at your desk, with sufficient battery life to keep you going all day. The improved on-board microphone makes them great for video calls, too.
You’re planning long training sessions The OpenRun Pro’s quick charge feature is a game-changer if you’re disorganized, but give them enough time to juice up fully and the headset will keep running for 10 hours. That’s more than enough for all but the toughest ultra training sessions.
You enjoy heavy music The OpenRun Pro is the first bone conduction headset we’ve tested that really does justice to bass-heavy music, and is a viable alternative to in-ear headphones when you need solid sound to keep you motivated.
Don’t buy it if
You want noise cancelling The appeal of bone conduction headphones is that they always allow ambient noise in. You could use them with a pair of earplugs to block out your surroundings, but that’s no substitute for active noise-cancelling.
You’re easily distracted The tickle of the new bass transducers might be annoying if you’re very sensitive to small distractions and want a pair of headphones to wear while you’re wearing. The original OpenRun headset feels less ‘buzzy’ against your face.
You’re on a tight budget The Shokz OpenRun Pro are the most expensive bone conduction headphones we’ve tested. If you don’t mind sacrificing some sound quality, the original OpenRun, and even the older Trekz Air are both good alternatives.

Jlab Go Air Sport: One-minute review
The Jlab Go Air Sport headphones are one of those workout headphones that might easily get overlooked. After all, just how good can a pair of sub-$50/£50 be? Historically (and understandably), they are simply unable to compete with the greats, despite their appealing price tags.
But then, the Jlab Go Air Sport came charging on the scene to prove history wrong. According to them, wireless earbuds and headphones do not need to cost a fortune to sound good and deliver on more than just the basics, and now our idea of the best workout headphones is changed forever.
In fact, we’re so impressed with them, we now prefer using them over our former favorites, the Beats Fit Pro. And, that’s saying a lot considering those might have just single-handedly ushered the Beats headphones line into a new era.
The Jlab Go Air Sport may not have the Fit Pro’s ANC prowess. However, they have superior comfort, fit, controls, and battery life – that’s while costing 3/20th of the Fit Pro. Need we go on?

Jlab Go Air Sport: Price and availability
How much does it cost? $30 (£29, AU$69)
Where is it available? Available now
Where can you get it? Available in the US, the UK, and Australia
At only $30 (£29, AU$69), the Jlab Go Air Sport are certainly for the budget-minded listeners and economizing fitness fanatics.
To be clear, these aren’t the only budget headphones or earbuds that are worth your consideration. However, these probably give you the best bang for your buck out of all of them. Their battery life alone, which is way above industry standard, already offers a reasonable return on investment.
In comparison, you’ll have to shell out a hefty $199 (£199, AU$299) to take the Beats Fit Pro home, spend $149 / £112 for the Amazfit Powerbuds Pro, and pay an eye-watering $279 (£250, AU$449) for the Sony WF-1000XM4.

Jlab Go Air Sport: Design
Comfortable and secure fit
Touch controls are intuitive
There’s volume control! ‘Nuf said!
They have to stay in place even during intensive sessions, and they shouldn’t hurt our ears (workout is hard enough!) – these are the two design features we expect from our go-to workout earbuds. But, true to its overachieving nature, the Jlab Go Air Sport don’t just tick those two big things off our list of demands. It goes above and beyond.
The fact that both earbuds are incredibly lightweight definitely adds to their comfort, but we have to give credit to those earhooks, which are comfortable even after hours of wear (unlike the wing tips on the Beats Fit Pro that hurt our outer ears even after 30 minutes) and effective at keeping the earbuds secure. We’ve ran, hiked, climbed stairs, and done dance workouts with these on, and they haven’t fallen off or even slipped out of place once.
If you aren’t used to such a design, there might be a bit of a learning curve – meaning you’ll have to use both hands to put them on in the early days. But, trust us, you’ll be putting these on one-handed in no time.
(Image credit: Future / Michelle Rae Uy)
For a pair of cheap headphones, the touch controls here are surprisingly reliable and accurate. They’re intuitive as well, making these earbuds effortless to control during workout sessions. These touch sensors also let you select among three sound profiles: JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost.
The best part about these controls, however, is the fact that they include volume control — that’s something even the top earbuds on the market do not offer. Press and hold the right earbud, and your volume goes up. Do the same on the left, and the volume drops. Simple, effective, brilliant.
(Image credit: Future / Michelle Rae Uy)
One other thing the Jlab Go Air Sport offer that their pricier rivals don’t is the built-in USB cable. For obvious reasons, the case doesn’t offer wireless charging. However, the built-in USB cable, which you can snap back in place and out of your way in its own garage, kinda splits the difference. You don’t need to remember to bring your own charging cable, as it already comes with the case.
(Image credit: Future / Michelle Rae Uy)
Speaking of the case, it’s larger than others, so not by much – and that’s really mostly to accommodate the earbuds’ earhooks. It definitely keeps things pocket-sized still.
Finally, if you’re tired of the same bland black or off-white shades, you’ll be happy to know that the Jlab Go Air Sport comes in six different attractive colors. There are no pink or purple options, sadly. (You need to get on that, Jlab!) However, there’s light blue, yellow, and teal.

Jlab Go Air Sport: Sound quality
Great sound quality for the price
Mic is slightly muffled; no ANC
Impressive battery life
You wouldn’t think that a pair of earbuds at this price range would sound very good, but the Jlab Go Air Sport yet again punch above their weight. The sound quality isn’t just good; it’s actually pretty great considering how much you’re paying.
There’s lots of bass to keep you motivated and moving even when you’re sore or just about ready to give up, but not too much bass that it overwhelms everything else. There’s also surprisingly good treble for the price, and the mid-range is well-represented as well.
Listening to Florence and the Machine’s new album, Dance Fever, on these is a great audio experience, even if they aren’t the most detailed-sounding earbuds we’ve used. The violin towards the end of King isn’t as prominent as it should be, for example. However, Florence Welch’s voice comes out clear and rich, and all the other instruments are well-represented.
(Image credit: Future / Michelle Rae Uy)
Unfortunately, the built-in mics are slightly muffled, as if there’s a veil over your voice as it comes through to the other end of your calls. However, the person on the other end shouldn’t have a hard time hearing you clearly. There’s no background noise rejection, though.
Nor is there active noise cancellation, though when it comes to workout headphones, that’s a bit of a double-edged sword. When you’re running on a trail in the woods, you obviously want to be aware of your surroundings. Same if you’re jogging on a busy street. The tips of the Jlab Go Air Sport should give you some level of noise cancellation, albeit passive, and for us, that’s more than enough for when we’re working out.
Since they are made for workouts and activities, they boast an IP55 sweat-resistance rating, which means that while they’re not completely sealed, they have a high level of dust and water jet protection. We’ve drenched these in sweat during midday and early afternoon workouts outdoors in the middle of a hot SoCal summer, and they haven’t failed yet.
(Image credit: Future / Michelle Rae Uy)
Last but certainly not least is their impressive battery life. While the Beats Fit Pro only give you up to six hours of listening per charge, the Jlab Go Air Sport beat them by two more hours, boasting around 8+ hours per charge, which is pretty accurate during our battery tests. Additionally, you’re getting up to 32 hours of battery life with the case, which again beats the Beats Fit Pro’s 24-hour rating.
Do you need that long of a battery life per earbud if you’re just using them for workouts? Well, that depends. If you’re running a marathon, a pro athlete, or a long-distance hiker like yours truly, then absolutely.

Doctors do not recommend running with headphones and drinking immediately after a workout – Amurskaya Pravda, news from Blagoveshchensk and Amur Region
AP continues the cycle of publications about proper and healthy running
Society not only with the feet, but also with the heart and lungs. To saturate the body with oxygen, our lungs have to significantly increase their volume of work. How to run correctly so as not to harm your respiratory system, readers of Amurskaya Pravda are advised by pulmonologist Irina Zhidkova.
Breathing filter
I was surprised to learn that more than 90 percent of the energy our body produces due to the intake of oxygen into the body. Most of it enters our body through the lungs. At rest, a person of middle age and weight needs about 150-200 milliliters of oxygen per minute, they said in the regional center for medical prevention. While jogging at a speed of 6-8 kilometers per hour, the body already needs 1-1.5 liters of oxygen per minute. This means that about 40 liters of air are pumped through the trachea, bronchi and lungs. This “performance” comes as a result of regular training.
— Systematic exercise can significantly improve the functional potential of our entire respiratory system. But not everything is as simple as it might seem. Due to the heavy load on the lungs and blood vessels, people suffering from respiratory diseases and varicose veins cannot run. If you have an acute respiratory disease or have had a mild cold, you feel unwell, and you don’t want to stop training, then running should be replaced with walking. Any physical activity is only beneficial if you remember the four basic rules – consistency, gradualness, regularity and control over well-being, – emphasizes Irina Zhidkova.
For our respiratory system to work properly, the back during the run must be straight, and the gaze directed into the distance. You don’t need to lower your head, but you shouldn’t raise your chin too much either – this will interfere with proper breathing.
Keep your back straight
Sometimes you look at people running past you in the morning: some stoop, others lean forward too much, fixing their eyes on the asphalt, as if they are afraid to stumble. All this makes it difficult to breathe evenly and rhythmically and saturate the body with oxygen while running.
— For our respiratory system to work properly, the back during the run must be straight, and the gaze directed into the distance. You don’t need to lower your head, but you shouldn’t lift your chin too much either – this will interfere with proper breathing, the pulmonologist advises. – The arms should be bent (no need to squeeze the hands), the movements should be light and natural, and the body should be relaxed. Try to strain only the muscles involved in the movement. Breathing should be clear and rhythmic, but there is no need to focus on breathing. Otherwise, it will definitely fail.
Another piece of advice: weight running is not for beginners. Do not wear a wide jumper or loose track pants. The wider the clothes, the stronger the air resistance and the greater the load on the body. You need to dress for a run in something light and tight-fitting and on the principle of cabbage. For example, if it’s cool in the morning, then put on a cotton T-shirt or tank top under your T-shirt that will absorb sweat, and a sleeveless jacket on top.
Should I run fast
You need to run at a reasonable pace. That’s just how to determine: have you chosen a feasible load for yourself or should the pace be reduced?
“One of the guidelines from the respiratory system is that you should be able to talk,” prompted the pulmonologist. — If you can answer some questions while jogging or walking at an accelerated pace and do not lose your rhythm, then the load is adequate. And if the question “Are you feeling well?” a person is so out of breath that it is difficult for him to pronounce even simple phrases or sentences, which means that such physical activity will not benefit, but rather harm. If you feel that you are beginning to choke, stabbed in your side, slow down or switch to brisk walking. And don’t worry about running for only 10 or 15 minutes in your first workout. In a few weeks, with regular training, you will be able to run the full half hour.
Music with a confused or too fast rhythm is highly contraindicated. Such musical accompaniment will take your breath away or make a person subconsciously run much faster than his body can withstand. Such an overload is harmful.
Breathless music
Our young people love players, some even go in for sports in headphones. So lovers of listening to music while jogging need to take into account some features.
“Music with a confused or too fast rhythm is extremely contraindicated,” Irina Zhidkova is categorical. – No matter how hard you try, but such musical accompaniment will choke your breath or make a person subconsciously run much faster than his body can withstand. Such an overload will be harmful.
When is the best time to run?
Another nuance – what time to choose for running: morning or evening? This issue is quite vigorously discussed on various sites by joggers. There is an opinion that supposedly running in the morning leads to heart attacks. And it has some grounds: after all, the body has not yet woken up, and running is a sharp shake-up.
—Every person can answer this question for himself if he listens to his body. Here you need to pay attention to your biorhythm. As you know, there are different types of people. If you are a “lark”, get up early and easily, then it is better to do a run in the morning. And if you are an “owl”, you get out of bed with great effort in the morning, then why force yourself? For such people, it is better to postpone the run for the evening, – advises Irina Timershaevna.
Load Adequacy Test
To determine the adequacy of the load, you can use a simple breath test. Try to sing a verse of a rhythmic song to yourself while running or read any quatrain. If you don’t lose your rhythm, keep going, if you swallow air like a fish out of water, then you need to slow down or reduce the training time. For all types of fitness, another rule is true: training should be fun. Even if at first you don’t want to go in for sports, but you ran, and your mood improved, and you finished your run in a good mood, it means that the load is adequate.
Immediately after the run, you can not drink – even ordinary water, and even more so carbonated. After significant physical exertion, the heart still does not have time to calm down enough, and we additionally load it with the fluid that has entered the bloodstream.
IMPORTANT
Immediately after the run, you can not drink – even ordinary water, and even more so carbonated. Maintain an interval of at least 15 minutes. The thing is that immediately after significant physical exertion, the heart still does not have time to calm down enough, and we additionally load it with the fluid that has entered the bloodstream. However, this rule does not apply to long runs, during which the blood thickens a lot and additional fluid is essential for it. Water should be taken gradually in small sips and not very chilled.

The era of wires is gradually coming to an end. Portable speakers have already firmly established themselves in the world, wireless charging is gaining popularity and, of course, headphones without wires are gaining their place under the sun. Someone else actively defends the sound quality, which not all models are ready to boast of, but someone is glad that there are fewer wires in his life, because without them it is more convenient.

And it’s really better without wires. There is no longer the problem of tangled headphones that you take out of your pocket. With these gadgets of a new format, it is more convenient to run and work out in the gym, you can easily fall asleep to soothing meditative music, and nothing interferes with how comfortable it is to ride a bike.
Wireless headphones become a welcome gift and will be a great option for a corporate presentation. Therefore, we decided to tell more about this relatively new gadget, answering the question “how to choose bluetooth headphones?” To help you get a decent device for listening to music and convenient phone calls for your employees, potential and regular customers.
Rely on the needs of employees or customers
Find out more about the main needs of your target audience in order to choose the perfect bluetooth headphones for a gift. Or take as a basis what unites you with your customers – reliability, speed, uniqueness of the service, a healthy lifestyle or common values. For example, if your product is somehow related to healthy lifestyle, then pay attention to models that are designed for the most comfortable fit while jogging.
It is better to put a logo on the headphones not just for the sake of a gift, but for the sake of maintaining your connection with the consumer. And the best present is one that shows that you know your target audience well. Such a gift will work best to strengthen loyalty.
Wireless headphone technology
Let’s decide whether your customers or employees need exactly bluetooth headphones with a logo, or maybe they prefer radio channel gadgets. The former are ideal for those who want to use headphones not only indoors, but also outside their apartment or office. Smartphones, TVs, cars, laptops and tablets are equipped with bluetooth modules. Therefore, it is easy to connect wireless headphones to them without additional accessories and easy to switch quickly.
When choosing wireless headphones for your phone, laptop or TV, pay attention to the bluetooth version for better data transfer, that is, for better sound. Also, the newer bluetooth is, the less energy is spent on its transmission and reception – an important feature if you plan to keep the headphones constantly connected to the phone.
At the moment, the latest and greatest technology is bluetooth 5.0. But remember that if the smartphone supports the previous version of bluetooth, for example, 4.0, then the connection will be limited by the capabilities of the fourth version.
Let’s move on to radio channel communication. It does not matter here whether to make bluetooth headphones with a print or only with a logo – it is important that this sound gadget will be designed to work only in the home or office. And for such headphones, an additional signal transmitter is required – a radio module. Only with the help of the latter will it be possible to connect the gadget to other audio equipment. And often these radio modules are quite bulky.
Please note that some wireless headphones are equipped with an additional audio cable jack. If you need to save battery power, then just the cable will perfectly cope with this.
Wireless headphone design and battery life
As in the case of wired headphones, the heroes of our article are also internal and external. The first are compact devices that are inserted into the auricle. With them, you can say, you feel freer, they do not hinder movement. By the way, these headphones are best suited for running and exercising in the gym. But, on the other hand, they often provide lower quality sound and run out faster due to the reduced battery.
If you want to give bluetooth headphones that will work autonomously longer (more time without recharging) – these are external headphones – about 12-20 hours. And the internal hold out for about 5-10 hours. What’s more, the sound quality of external headphones is generally better.
Microphone and protection against external sound
If your gift is intended not only for music, but also for telephone conversations, be sure to make sure that the model you choose has a microphone.

Transferring data to your new hard drive
If you are replacing your existing drive, we recommend the use of data migration (cloning) software to move all the files from your existing drive onto your new hard drive. Data migration software is available at Crucial.com.
To install an SSD in a Mac® system, the process is different – follow our Mac-specific SSD install steps here.
Precautions before installation
Static electricity can damage the components in your system. To protect your system’s components from static damage during the installation process, touch any of the unpainted metal surfaces on your computer’s frame or wear an ESD wrist strap before touching or handling internal components. Either method will safely discharge static electricity that’s naturally present in your body.
To protect your new SSD, do not touch the connectors on the drive.
Do not open the SSD. Doing so will void your warranty.
Laptop SSD installation instructions
1. Make sure you’re working in a static-safe environment
Remove any plastic bags or papers from your work space.
2. Gather supplies
2.5-inch Crucial® SSD
Screwdriver
Your computer’s owner’s manual (which will specify the type of screwdriver you need)
3. Shut down your system
Disconnect the power cable and remove the battery. Refer to your system’s owner’s manual for how to do this.
4. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds to discharge residual electricity
5. Open your laptop’s case
Refer to your owner’s manual for how to do this.
6. Ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface
This is an extra safeguard that protects your drive and components from static damage during the installation process.
7. Locate the storage bay
Refer to your owner’s manual for the exact location and note the size of the bays. Remove the old storage drive. Look closely at the old storage drive for any brackets, adapters, support frames, braces, pull tabs, or screws that might be attached to it. If anything is attached to the old drive, remove it and put it on the SSD in the same manner
8. Plug the SSD into your system
Don’t force the connection – it should plug in easily and fit snugly.
If the SSD doesn’t fit snugly, use the spacer that comes with your Crucial® SSD and attach it to the SSD by peeling off the adhesive and sticking the spacer onto the drive. Attaching the spacer allows the SSD to achieve the same level of thickness as the existing drive you removed. Note: Many installations don’t require the spacer, so you might not need to use it.
9. Reassemble your laptop

Laptops are difficult to upgrade in a meaningful way. In many cases, the processor, motherboard, and video card are installed as a one-package setup. If one component fails, you can’t simply swap it out — you’ll need to replace the whole trio, which can be timely and expensive. Typically, the only components you can manually upgrade are RAM and storage.

How to pick the right SSD
How to prepare for installation
How to perform the installation
How to use your new drive
A good way to improve your laptop’s performance is to swap out its mechanical hard disk drive (HDD) for a solid-state drive (SSD). It doesn’t change how quickly software runs — that’s all on the CPU. Instead, it improves the speed at which software loads and the speed at which software juggles data. That makes a PC feel much faster.
Better still, an SSD isn’t difficult to install. You can upgrade most laptops on a kitchen table using just a screwdriver. If you have both items ready to roll, you can get started.

How to pick the right SSD
Since this is not a buying guide, we won’t recommend specific SSDs here. Instead, you can find more information about purchasing an SSD in our buying guide and our comparison between SSDs and traditional hard disks. Just be sure you buy an SSD that actually fits in your laptop.
There are two standard formats for laptop SSDs: 2.5-inch and 1.8-inch.
Of the pair, the 2.5-inch drive is by far the most common. Smaller 1.8-inch drives are found in some new laptops that offer an SSD as standard equipment, but they can be modified to fit 2. 5-inch bays if desired. Given that this is an upgrade guide, that’s presumably not what you have, so a 2.5-inch drive is what you’ll need in most cases.
Some Ultrabooks have extremely thin drive bays that won’t fit a standard 2.5-inch drive. In those cases, you’ll need an SSD that’s 7mm thick or less. Be prepared to hunt for these slimmer drives because retailers do a poor job of advertising these products. You may need to call the retailer or look up the specifications on the manufacturer’s website.
How to prepare for installation
There are two ways to handle the data on your existing hard drive.
First, you can back up important files and start over with a new operating system install, but ensure you have an install disc or an external hard drive. These methods are simple solutions, but they can be time-consuming. That said, once you install the new drive, you’ll need to reinstall the OS and then restore your backed-up files.
The second option is to clone your drive and copy all data from your existing drive to the new one, OS included. It’s quick but requires more technical knowledge and will only work if the new drive has equal or greater capacity than the old one. In this case, you install the cloned drive in your laptop and boot as normal.
However, to clone your current drive, you’ll need a SATA-to-USB adapter. Connect your new SSD to the SATA/USB adapter, then plug the adapter into a USB port on your laptop. Your laptop should detect your new SSD as an external hard drive.
Cloning is not as simple as dragging and dropping files. Everything must be copied, including portions of the drive that allow Windows to use it as a boot device. A growing number of SSD manufacturers bundle cloning software with their devices, but if you’re on your own, check out Norton Ghost, Acronis True Image, or Paragon Drive Copy.
If you don’t want to pay, try MiniTool, Clonezilla, or Acronis. Just remember that free software may not offer customer support if you are confused about the software or how it works.
If you clone your drive, make sure to back up essential data anyway, as cloning is not 100% reliable.
How to perform the installation
Find a level surface with good lighting where you can work without distractions. Place your laptop upside-down with the power unplugged and battery out, if possible.
You should see a plastic cut-out panel in the bottom, which is covered by multiple screws. Some laptops will have two panels, in which case you should remove the one marked by the hard drive symbol, an engraving that looks like three stacked discs.
A few laptops have no cut-out, which means you’ll have to take the entire bottom off, and it involves far more screws. Make sure you keep track of them, too — a Ziploc bag works best because it keeps the screws together so they don’t roll off the table.
Once you remove the screws, gently pry the cut-out panel off with a sharp object. You’re up a creek without a paddle if that panel breaks, so don’t be forceful — lift it gently. If one section seems stubborn, try loosening another side instead.
With the panel off, the hard drive is exposed. In a modern laptop, hard drives are typically covered by metal brackets or metallic wrap with a tab attached. Pull the tab gently out and up to remove the drive. Some laptops will have a loose connector, in which case the cable and SATA connector will begin to go with the drive. Detach it.
If your laptop uses a bracket, you’ll notice the drive is secured to the bracket by screws (usually four). Remove them to detach the drive, then place your new SSD into the bracket and use the same screws you removed to secure it. If your laptop doesn’t use a bracket, discard any wrap used by the previous drive.
Now slide the drive back into the bay and plug it in the SATA connector used by the old drive. Remember, SATA connectors have a straight or L-shaped plug, making it very difficult to install incorrectly. You shouldn’t need to use much force if you’re installing the new drive correctly.
Replace the panel, replace the screws, and you’re done.
How to use your new drive
If you opted for reinstalling your OS, the next step is simple: Pop in your installation disk or recovery disk and reinstall. There’s nothing special to do. Just follow the steps suggested by the installation wizard.
What if you don’t have an optical drive? You can usually reinstall the OS from a thumb drive, external hard drive, or other storage methods. For Windows, you’ll need another PC to download the OS from Microsoft. Once you begin the installation, Windows will refer to the license key embedded in your laptop’s motherboard.
If you have a different Windows version, you can use BurnAware Free to make a boot disc from your existing Windows disk. You can use the same software to turn a drive cloning software disc into a bootable thumb drive file.
Those who cloned their drive don’t need to do anything extra. The final step is to boot and go. However, you may see an interface to finalize the clone. This step makes it bootable for your PC.
Finally, we’ll consider the drivers. Even though your new hard drive shouldn’t need an extra installation, it might come with a software disc to simplify drive management. If you bought a bare drive model, you’re less likely to receive a software disk, but it isn’t a problem to download management software yourself. The hardware manufacturer should provide you with instructions on how to do this on their support resources.
You should also consider upgrading your laptop to an SSD if you want maximum speed and data protection. HDDs are more widely known, but they’re also faultier. One of the main drawbacks to a laptop’s transportability is its susceptibility to HDD damage during transport. Since SSDs run on flash memory instead of mechanical parts, you won’t need to worry about damaging tiny moving pieces, magnets, or disks.
Hardware updates can be a pain, but an SSD installation isn’t too tricky. By taking the time to swap your HDD for an SSD will pay off big time with a vast improvement to your PC’s performance. Additionally, you don’t need a ton of knowledge or expensive tools, so you don’t have much of an excuse to pass on the upgrade. After using these directions, you’ll have super-fast software load times and even more gratification.

There is no doubt that Solid State Drives (SSDs) are gaining popularity and are being used in laptops, desktops and servers. You can speed up your old desktop PC or laptop by replacing your hard disk drive (HDD) with a solid state drive. With their speed and reliability, SSDs are a great option for new PC builds, servers, and system builders.
An SSD is a storage medium that, unlike a hard disk, uses non-volatile (flash) memory to store and access data. In other words, there are no moving mechanical parts, and this is a very important factor.
These are just a few of the many benefits of SSDs over spinning hard drives. Among other things, SSDs can greatly improve the performance of your system with a simple upgrade. Here are five benefits that upgrading your computer with an SSD can provide.
1. Solid State Drive Durability and Reliability
High temperatures are the main cause of hard drive failure. The continuous movement of the moving parts of a hard drive generates enough heat to destroy it over time. Because SSDs don’t have these parts, they can maintain cooler temperatures and much higher performance. SSDs are also better protected from drops, shocks, bumps, and everyday wear and tear, reducing the chance of data loss.
2. SSDs are faster than HDDs
SSDs are hundreds of times faster than HDDs. SSDs make your computer boot faster, transfer data faster, and increase bandwidth. The increased speed means that SSDs can process data at the ultra-fast speeds required in today’s business world, especially when running programs such as the operating system that access large amounts of data. In addition, SSDs are very stable, which guarantees the safety of stored data.
SATA SSDs: HDDs can only achieve write speeds of 50-120 MB/s. In comparison, SSDs load the SATA bus up to 550 MB/s. Despite the bus limitation, there is typically a 10- to 15-fold improvement in overall system performance when using SATA-based SSDs instead of legacy hard drives.
NVMe SSDs: NVMe technology uses the PCIe bus instead of the SATA bus, unlocking huge bandwidth potential for storage devices. PCIe 4.0 (current version) provides up to 32 lanes and can theoretically transfer data at up to 64,000 MB/s, compared to the SATA III specification limit of 600 MB/s.
3. Power Efficiency
Because SSDs have no moving parts, they require less power to operate than HDDs with magnetic spinning platters. Energy efficiency provides a big advantage when using SSDs when it comes to PCs and mobile devices, where battery longevity is a highly requested feature.
4. Lighter and quieter
Smaller size means that SSDs weigh less than larger hard drives that contain magnetic heads and metal platters. With a compact design, SSDs are ideal for laptops, tablets and other small electronic devices. The lack of moving parts means that SSDs are much quieter than hard drives, whose noise and vibration can be very distracting.
5. More practical size/form factor
Since their inception, hard drives have been limited to large sizes. On the other hand, different sizes of SSDs are available; the smallest of these has a 2. 5-inch form factor.
These are the most common SSD form factors.
Most common 2.5-inch form factor; provides the best price per GB; closed structure.
The
mSATA has a very small form factor; another type of connection; frameless circuit board; Great option for limited space.
M.2 is an unpackaged circuit board; available with SATA and PCIe NVMe interface; small form factor; the size of a stick of chewing gum.
Cost has the final say
Solid state drives can be more expensive than hard drives. Because SSD technology is much newer than HDD technology, and their development costs are higher compared to HDDs. Overall, however, the gap is narrowing, and the dollar per GB price of SSDs has come down significantly over the past few years. Upgrading your PC by installing a solid state drive and increasing the amount of RAM are two simple and cost-effective options to improve the performance of your computer or laptop. By replacing a conventional hard drive with an SSD, you can achieve significant performance improvements even on relatively new systems. Pages will load faster and apps will launch faster. With that in mind, the benefits of switching to an SSD outweigh the costs.
Also, it is necessary to significantly increase the speed of the robotic computer for the account of the SSD-accumulator. Ale yak vibrati?

Installing an SSD in a laptop, replacing the HDD in a laptop with an SSD Fortis-service
People recently learned about SSD drives. This technology has been around since 1995, but until recently, the cost was too high to infiltrate the masses. Today, every user can afford an SSD drive. If you are interested in replacing an SSD in a laptop, contact the professionals from Fortis Service.
Benefits of SSD
SSD stands for solit-state drive – solid state drive. Their main difference from the usual hard drives is in contrast to the disk itself. An SSD is like a flash drive: it is made entirely of memory chips.
Comparison of solid state drives with traditional hard drives:
no moving parts. As a consequence, the absence of noise and high resistance to mechanical shock;
high read/write speed. SSD drives use the potential of SATA interfaces almost completely: 300-600 MB / s. This is 5-10 times faster than conventional hard drives;
low power consumption;
compact and light weight. If you replace the hard drive with an SSD, the laptop will become noticeably lighter;
high multitasking setting;
high stability.
Disadvantages include high price and limited lifetime: on average, SSDs break down 20% faster than their HDD predecessors.
Installing ssd in a laptop
By installing an SSD in a laptop, you will increase the speed and performance of your device. The response time will decrease by 3-6 times, the noise of operation will disappear and temporary freezes will disappear.
Please note that replacing the HDD with an SSD is not the only option. You also have the option of replacing the drive with an SSD drive. This way you can combine the old data with the new storage. You’ll lose your DVD drive, but you’ll get a super-fast memory slot that can hold your most important programs.

Sony A6400 review: a camera still worth buying in 2022?
Digital Camera World Verdict
For bloggers, vloggers and independent content creators, the Sony A6400 is a dream. Its still image quality is very good, its 4K video is even better, and its 180-degree screen and eye-detect AF are perfect for single-handed video capture. But this is a specific market, and for regular stills photographers its high-tech image capture is poor consolation for its five-year-old design and limited external controls.
Pros
+
180-degree screen for vlogging
+
Terrific if complex AF
+
Very good image quality
Cons
–
Limited external controls
–
Interminable menu system
–
Dated rear screen and EVF
Why you can trust Digital Camera World
Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out how we test.
Launched in 2019, the Sony A6400 joined the ever-cluttered lineup of A6XXX series cameras as the former vlogging specialist. However, quite a bit has changed in the past three years.
Principally, the Sony APS-C mirrorless range has now been joined by the new Sony ZV-E10. It doesn’t have an A6XXX-series model name (presumably because Sony wants to distance it from the existing cameras), but in reality the technology is the same and it’s only the external design that’s different.
Where the A6400 was merely adapted for vlogging, the ZV-E10 is made from the ground up for it – and this, along with its price, makes it the Sony’s best vlogging camera with an APS-C sensor, ahead of the Sony A6400.
Of course, the A6400 still has plenty to recommend it – as does the rest of the family. So make sure to check out our Sony A6000 vs A6100 vs A6300 vs A6400 vs A6500 vs A6600 sextuple header, and keep on reading to see if the A6400 is still right for you in 2022…

Sony A6400 review: Key features
Sony continues to push back the boundaries of processing and autofocus performance, bringing out new technologies in its flagship professional cameras and then filtering these down through the range to its consumer models. So indeed the A6400 has inherited the autofocus DNA of the full frame A9, A7R III and A7 III models, boasting 425 phase-detection, 425 contrast AF points and what Sony claims to be the world’s fastest AF acquisition time of 0.02sec.
The APS-C sensor has the same 24MP resolution as the original A6000, but boasts a far more sophisticated AF system, 4K video and an uprated BIONZ X processor.
This autofocus system covers approximately 84% of the image area and is sensitive down to -2EV. It also boasts Sony’s already legendary Eye AF system, both in single-shot and continuous shooting mode, and Eye AF support for animals is due to be added in summer 2019.
You don’t just get Sony’s Real Time Eye AF, but real-time tracking for objects, too, thanks to AI-based object recognition which processes colour, subject distance and patterns as ‘spatial’ information.
Sony’s renowned for its video expertise too, and while the A6400 does not offer 60/50p 4K capture like a couple of its rivals, it does use full pixel readout, capturing ‘oversampled’ 6K data and then downsampling it to 3,840 x 2,160 UHD resolution. Sony claims advanced AF speed and stability, thanks to his camera’s upgraded autofocus technology, and it comes with HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) for HDR playback on compatible TVs, plus Sony’s S-Log2 and S-Log3 gamma modes – the S-Log3 mode is said to offer up to 14EV latitude (dynamic range).
The A6400 can capture 4K video at 30fps in the XAVCS format at bitrates up to 100Mbps or full HD at up to 120fps at the same bitrate. It also offers clean HDMI output to external recorders via its HDMI port.
The key to the A6400’s vlogger appeal is its flip-over screen. What was once a feature simply for selfie lovers has become a lot more important for videographers.
Apart from the advanced autofocus and powerful 4K video features, the A6400 is pretty conventional. It uses a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor matched up to Sony’s latest-generation BIONZ X processor, which captures images as 14-bit data which is converted to 16-bit for processing and then back to 14-bit raw files. Sony says the A6400 has advances in image quality and colour reproduction with improved noise reduction and texture rendition.
In continuous shooting mode, the A6400 can maintain 11fps with its mechanical shutter and AF/AE tracking, though that’s with the viewfinder in ‘after view’ mode, which is not the best for keeping up with fast-moving subjects. For this there’s an 8fps ‘live view’ mode, and you can also shoot at 8fps in silent mode. The buffer capacity is pretty fair at 116 standard JPEGs and 46 compressed raw files.
The magnesium alloy body is dust and moisture-resistant and Sony claims a 200,000-shot shutter life. The external controls are relatively few, but it’s possible to assign 89 functions to 8 different custom keys. Sony has added new My Dial and My Menu options and enhanced the overall menu usability, though there’s still an awful lot of menu screens to cycle through.
We tested the A6400 with Sony’s long-range 18-135mm zoom, a neat, powerful and optically superior alternative to the standard 16-50mm power zoom.
The body is quite small so there’s only space for one memory card, and it’s slightly surprising that it’s a UHS-I type rather than the faster UHS-II. The A6400 does have a fairly substantial battery, though, with a life of 360 shots when using the viewfinder and 410 shots using the rear screen.
This screen is perhaps the A6400’s ‘killer’ feature. It flips up through a full 180 degrees so that you can see yourself while you’re filming yourself presenting to the camera. It’s also touch-sensitive, though it’s relatively small so you’re going to have to be quite precise when setting the focus point.
Sony A6400 review: Build and handling
It’s very interesting to compare the A6400 side by side with the original A6000, launched way back at the dawn of time (all right, 2014) to see that very little has changed. The A6400 has plumped out a bit around the middle, thanks to the new 180-degree tilting screen on the back, but otherwise it’s like looking at practically the same camera.
The A6400’s body is a little thicker than previous versions, but the controls and layout are unchanged since the A6000.
That’s both a good and a bad thing for the A6400. It’s good in that its layout is going to be instantly familiar to anyone who’s used an A6000, A6300 or A6500, and it is a neat, compact, crisp-feeling design.
What’s not so good is that all its new features – and the A6400 has come a long way since the A6000 – are accessed electronically via menus, screens, dials and function buttons. The A6400 has a super-sophisticated AF system, high-speed continuous shooting and powerful 4K video features, but it’s all buried inside this pretty but generic body.
You get a mode dial, an unmarked command dial and one of those combined four-way directional pad/spinning dial controls on the back that’s a bit too easy to press when you meant to spin… and that’s it. The A6400 does sport a button for swapping AF modes, and if you want to change the AF area you can do that with the Fn button on the back, and there are custom buttons here, there and everywhere, but it’s all very digital. What happened to good old knobs and dials? When a camera has such a series of key strengths and capabilities, it’s a bit annoying they’re not more externally accessible.
There is an unmarked control dial alongside the mode dial on the top of the camera and a second control dial around the four-way selector on the back of the camera.
The second control dial is pretty small and, as usual with controls of this type, it’s too easy to ‘click’ when you meant to ‘spin’.
But Sony’s cameras are hugely customisable, and the A6400 lets you assign 89 different functions to 8 custom keys. You can also set up your own My Dial and My Menu options. If you don’t mind ‘programming’ your camera to suit your shooting, this is fine, and we know plenty of Sony fans who love all this stuff. But if you like your controls big, obvious and accessible, the A6400’s digital-first design could prove quite tiresome.
That’s not the only thing. The fact that you only get a 3-inch screen is not really a problem, but that it still has the modest 921k-dot resolution of the original A6000 is a bit of a surprise. Worse, this is a 16:9 screen, so it’s great for video but not so good for 3:2 ratio stills photography, where you get a smaller-than-usual image with black bars either side.
The rear screen isn’t just a bit cramped, it’s also easily swamped by glare in bright outdoor lighting. You can swap to the EVF in these conditions, but with its 2,359k dot resolution, even this is no better than it has to be.
The 3-inch rear screen has a pretty modest 921k dot resolution, but it’s also a 16:9 display so 3:2 images have black bars either side and look smaller still.
On the upside, all the controls feel strong, firm and positive – though we’ve already mentioned that too-easily-clicked rear spinner. The magnesium alloy body is dust and moisture sealed, and the inside there’s a mechanical shutter with a 200,000 shot shutter life. It also has an extremely satisfying mechanical ‘snap’ when you press the shutter release.
The 180-degree screen is a huge bonus for blogging, though the A6400 is a bit too heavy for any extending handheld shooting on a selfie stick – you’d be better off doing your pieces to camera with a small tripod or some other support. It’s such an advantage to be able to see yourself while filming, though the small screen on the A6400 means it’s not so easy to make out what’s happening as it is with a smartphone, for example.
Sony A6400 review: Performance
The A6400 feels as fast and responsive as its high-tech AF specs would suggest. The face/eye detection follows faces around the frame with no lag at all, and in continuous AF/continuous shooting mode, the autofocus responded to changes in subject distance practically instantly. The Real Time Tracking AF seemed a bit more sluggish, though, as it seemed to lose fast moving subjects and needed a couple of frames to find them again, but that was only when it was deliberately provoked – it handled relatively slow-moving subjects fine.
The A6400 captures in 14-bit colour, processes in 16-bit and saves 14-bit raw files – the image quality is first rate.
The colour rendition is rich and natural-looking, and the A6400 has got the tones in this blue sky just right.
You can buy the A6400 body only, with the compact Sony 16-50mm power zoom lens or pay more to get it with the comparatively new Sony 18-135mm zoom. This is naturally bulkier than the 16-50mm, but optically much better – in fact it’s sharper across the full zoom range than we’re used to seeing with lenses that have a zoom range this long. It’s also neat, fuss-free and smooth to use.
There is a lot of digital correction going on with this 18-135mm lens, though. You won’t see it in the JPEGs, which are corrected in-camera, but if you view the raw files in a program that doesn’t automatically apply Sony’s built-in correction data you’ll see huge barrel distortion at the wide-angle end of the zoom range where the corners of the frame are actually clipped to black. This is clearly a lens never designed to be used uncorrected.
The optional 18-135mm kit lens focuses very close, and the tilting screen makes it easy to compose shots at ground level.
The lines in this long range shot look pretty straight, but if it’s left uncorrected, the 18-135mm lens shows massive barrel distortion at the wide end of the zoom range.
The still image quality is very good indeed. Images are sharp and detailed, and the colour rendition seems both rich and natural. The exposure system reacted predictably in a wide range of lighting conditions and the auto while balance works well too.
We had to use a little negative EV compensation to stop the bright sky from blowing out in this shot, but otherwise the A6400’s exposure metering was predictable and reliable.
Another sunset shot to show the depth of colour the A6400 can capture. Using the dedicated ‘Sunset’ mode was less successful, though, and messed up the colours rather than enhancing them.
The A6400 also offers a variety of picture styles for JPEG shooters, though black and white fans will be better off shooting raw files and processing them themselves rather than using the in-camera black and white rendition, and the Sunset mode gave a vivid sunset scene into a rather bilious yellow/green tinge, so we turned that off pretty quickly.
If you want the best quality from this camera you’re better off shooting raw files, and these came out very well in Adobe Camera Raw, which supports the A6400 already.
Sony A6400 review: Lab tests
When we came to find rival cameras for the A6400 we realised it doesn’t have many direct competitors – in fact its combination of 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, built-in viewfinder, 4K video and 180-degree screen are pretty unique.
As rivals, we chose the Canon EOS M50 as perhaps the closest match, though its cropped 4K video isn’t as good as the A6400’s, and the Fujifilm X-T100 as a cheaper alternative that also has a 180-degree screen, though the 4K video is restricted to 15fps, which is next to useless, so the X-T100 is really a full HD camera. We also put it against the far cheaper Olympus E-PL9 which has a smaller 16MP sensor and no viewfinder, but does have 4K video and a 180-degree screen and is pitched at a similar market.
Resolution
In our lab tests the Sony A6400 showed itself to have a slight edge – literally and figuratively – over the Fujifilm X-T100 and Canon EOS M50, while the limitations of the Olympus E-PL9’s 16-megapixel sensor meant it trailed behind the others in fourth place.
Signal to noise ratio
Even though this is now the fourth 24-megapixel model in Sony’s A6000 series and boasts the latest BIONZ X processor, its noise performance is not better than the rest – in fact, in our tests it proved slightly noisier than the other three cameras, especially at higher ISO settings.
Dynamic range
As usual, we found the Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor in the Olympus E-PL9 offered unusually good dynamic range across the ISO range. The CMOS sensor (not an X-Trans type) in the X-T100 came second and the A6400 and EOS M50 were pretty much level in third place.
Sony A6400 review: Verdict
When it was launched, the Sony A6400 didn’t have too many direct vlogging rivals. That’s all changed, with cameras like the Canon EOS M6 Mark II, Fujifilm X-S10, Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III and Panasonic Lumix G9, many of which can boast vari-angle not just tilting screens, and some of which have in-body stabilization.
This leaves the A6400 mildly disappointing. It’s a small camera with few external controls that hasn’t really developed physically since the A6000 and relies too heavily on its digital interface. The EVF and small rear screen seem especially weak by today’s standards.
And while its autofocus is exceptionally advanced and it has a good continuous shooting speed with a reasonable buffer capacity, the A6400 is just the wrong shape for shooting sports, wildlife and other action subjects with big lenses.
The image quality is certainly good, but the same can be said for any of its APS-C mirrorless rivals, many of which cost a good deal less.
For bloggers, vloggers and independent content creators, the Sony A6400 is very good. Its still image quality is first rate, its 4K video is even better, and its 180-degree screen and eye-detect AF are handy for single-handed video capture. Even so, its high-tech image capture is poor consolation for its five-year-old design and limited external controls.

Its still image quality is first rate, its 4K video is even better, and its 180-degree screen and eye-detect AF are handy for single-handed video capture. Even so, its high-tech image capture is poor consolation for its five-year-old design and limited external controls.

Rent Mirrorless Sony Alpha a6400
SONY Alpha a6400 is the first camera to use Speed x AI technology for incredibly fast and reliable focusing. The camera instantly detects faces and eyes and tries to keep focus on a given subject without switching to other people. Fast hybrid autofocus covers almost the entire area of the sensor, so you can just forget about it and focus on something else: composition or contact with the model. The touch-sensitive flip-out display is great for selfies and vlogging. a6400 has a very powerful functionality for professional video shooting.
A built-in intervalometer allows you to shoot long time-lapses (up to 9999 frames), giving you control over how the camera reacts to changing light for the first time: fast, medium, or slow.
Thanks to the touch screen, you can control the focus by pointing the desired object on the screen with your finger (classic touch autofocus, handy when using a tripod), or switch between focus points by swiping the screen in the appropriate direction (handy when shooting through the viewfinder). The second option replaces the physical autofocus joystick. The display tilts up and down, and for the first time on a 6000-series camera, it can be tilted up 180° when you’re filming yourself.
Remote shooting from a PC using the new Imaging Edge software should appeal to those who are engaged in studio shooting (including product photography). Among the possibilities declared overlay image – to fine-tune the focus, composition and exposure.
A big focus on video as usual: the a6400 is Sony’s first APS-C camera to support HLG (HDR) capture. HLG is an easier solution to preserve the details of high contrast scenes than using Log gamma (especially since Sony cameras do not support loading LUT profiles). Although HLG does not provide such wide opportunities for professional grading, for most amateurs and even some professionals it will be enough, especially since HLG files are viewed on Sony HDR TVs and HDR monitors without the need for any processing. Log recording to a memory card is also present: in the form of S-Log2 and S-Log3, there is a zebra, focus peaking, parallel recording of proxy files in 720p, 4:2:2 8-bit output via HDMI.

Entry Standard 4K TV
GoodRequired a small TV with a diagonal of 43 inches (it no longer fit into a niche), but most importantly without smart TV, 3d, etc., since the TV was needed by people who would not use it. The choice was quite small, for Samsung, only a 48-inch TV was suitable for such criteria, and for LG, a couple. One is full hd, the other is 4k. It was decided to stop at the second option and specifically on this model. The picture is more or less tolerable, the color reproduction is vivid (thanks to the IPS matrix), although in order to like the colors more, you will have to tinker with the settings. There is a float, but due to the fact that the matrix is 60 Hz, there are twitches. Lights are all within the normal range. The sound is quite ordinary, the main thing is not squeaky, for a rather thin case (about 3 cm) it’s not bad, for something more serious than the ether, you can connect third-party acoustics. The design is normal – an interesting stand, which is assembled from 3 parts, thin frames – black plastic and silver metal below. Regarding the built-in player. The main formats like mkv, avi and mp4, etc. reproduce without problems, although it remembers the place where playback was stopped only until the TV is turned off. True, 4K video does not play from a flash drive, and using the built-in satellite tuner it will not work either. With the built-in player, I like to watch pictures with a resolution of about 12 megapixels, the picture is pleasant here. You can watch 4K video only when you connect HDMI 2.0, which are present in this TV. I have an old laptop and a cord to it, so when connected to a TV it gives out standard 1080@60 Hz. Connectors are standard – 2 HDMI (it will seem a little to someone), tulips, antenna, headphones, usb and optics for acoustics. The assembly is Russian, perhaps that’s why when you click on the matrix in the corner, it bends a little, but it’s still not worth doing, as it seems to me). The remote control is simple and light (about 80 grams with batteries), but everything you need is in it. The price at the time of purchase was 500 evergreens, which is quite tolerable. For normal everyday tasks, this device is quite suitable. Picture. Sound. Stand. Price at the time of purchase. Matrix 60 Hz. Few connectors.

Although not as common as traditional flat monitors, curved monitors are still favorable for some people. Curved monitors help bring the edges of the screen into your field of view, so the image remains consistent even if you’re sitting close. Not all monitors have the same curvature, and a monitor’s curve is defined by the radius of the curve if it formed a complete circle; a 1000R curve is more aggressive than a 1800R curve. Not all curved monitors are equal, but most do have gaming features, so if you’re looking for a curved monitor, it’s likely you’ll find a gaming display.
We’ve bought and tested over 270 monitors, and below you’ll find our picks for the best monitors with a curved screen that are available for purchase. Also, check out our recommendations for the best curved gaming monitors, the best ultrawide monitors, and the best 34-49 inch monitors.

The best curved monitor that we’ve tested is the Dell Alienware AW3423DW. It’s an excellent overall monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1800R curve. Its QD-OLED panel delivers fantastic picture quality as blacks look deep and inky in dark rooms thanks to the near-infinite contrast ratio, and there isn’t any blooming around bright objects either. However, it’s better in dark rooms because ambient lighting in well-lit rooms causes black levels to raise.
It’s excellent for gaming, as motion looks smooth due to its near-instantaneous response time, and it has low input lag for a responsive feel. It has native G-SYNC support to reduce screen tearing, which is great if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, as you can take full advantage of it. Even if you have an AMD graphics card, the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF is similar, with native FreeSync support instead, and costs a bit less.
There are some downsides to monitors that use a QD-OLED panel. They run the risk of permanent burn-in when exposed to the same static elements over time. It won’t be a problem for most gamers, but if it still concerns you, a high-end monitor like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 can be a good alternative in the same price range. It’s a fantastic gaming monitor that gets even brighter than the Dell, but it doesn’t deliver the same perfect blacks.

If you want a curved monitor solely for work and you’re concerned about the risk of burn-in on the Dell Alienware AW3423DW, check out the LG 40WP95C-W. Its picture quality isn’t nearly as good as on the Dell as it has a worse contrast ratio, but instead, it has a bigger 40-inch screen with a 5k2k resolution that results in extremely sharp text. It has a much more subtle 2500R curve, which is just enough to bring the edges of the screen within your field of vision. It has a bunch of productivity features that make it great for office use, and it’s also great for content creators because it displays a wide range of colors and comes factory-calibrated.
It’s easy to connect to it with your work laptop because it has two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support. You can display an image from a compatible laptop and charge it using the monitor’s 96W of power delivery. It also has a few handy features like a Picture-by-Picture mode so you can display images from two sources at once, like if you need to use your personal computer and work laptop at the same time.

If you want something for work and play in the upper mid-range price category, consider the LG 34GP950-B. It’s different from the LG 40WP95C-W because it has a smaller screen, lower resolution, and fewer productivity features, but it also has a higher refresh rate if you want to use it for gaming. It’s more of an alternative to the Dell Alienware AW3423DW, especially if you don’t want a QD-OLED panel, because it also has a 34-inch screen with a 1900R curve and a 3440×1440 resolution for an immersive gaming experience. However, with an LED-backlit LCD panel, it doesn’t have the same risk of burn-in, and it also gets brighter.
The LG has native G-SYNC support like the Dell, which can take full advantage of your NVIDIA graphics card. Even if you have an AMD graphics card, FreeSync works without issue over DisplayPort. The overall gaming experience is great, as it has a quick response time at any frame rate for minimal motion blur. Even though it doesn’t have a backlight-strobing feature to reduce persistence blur, it’s unlikely you’ll need one, as motion already looks great.

If you want something cheaper, a mid-range monitor like the Gigabyte M32UC is a good alternative to the LG 34GP950G-B. It’s a different type of monitor because it has a 32-inch, 4k screen instead of the ultrawide screen on the LG. This means you don’t get the same ultrawide gaming experience where you can see more of your game at once, but with a high resolution, images look sharper. It’s also a better choice if you want to game with a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S on it, as it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth that can take full advantage of the consoles.
If you’re a PC gamer, it also has a native 144Hz refresh rate, meaning you can play games at a high frame rate without any problems. Although it has some issues with its motion handling, it at least has low input lag for a responsive gaming experience. Luckily, this monitor also has many features for work if you need something for both gaming and productivity. It features a USB hub with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, letting you display an image from a compatible device, but its power delivery is limited to 15W.

If you’re looking for a curved monitor in the lower mid-range price category, some good ultrawide displays cost less than the Gigabyte M32UC and offer good overall performance. One is the Dell S3422DWG, which is great for gaming and offers good overall picture quality. It’s an ultrawide display, meaning it doesn’t offer the same 4k resolution and HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for console gaming as the Gigabyte, but it’s still a solid choice for PC gaming. The 1800R curve helps bring the edges within your field of vision, and its 3440×1440 resolution helps deliver sharp image clarity.
Its VA panel offers a good native contrast ratio in dark rooms, as it displays deep blacks with minimal blooming. However, there are some drawbacks to this panel technology, as it has narrow viewing angles and some black smearing with fast-moving objects. The response times are still good, and it has low input lag for a responsive feel. It also has native FreeSync VRR support to reduce screen tearing, but while it’s G-SYNC compatible, there are some problems when the frame rate drops below 60 fps.

If you want something you can get on a budget, there are some smaller displays, like the AOC CQ27G2. It has a smaller screen than the Dell S3422DWG because it has a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 27-inch screen, so you’ll see less of your work and game at once, but that’s normal if you want a budget-friendly curved monitor. Despite the low cost, it still has a 1440p resolution and good image clarity. It also has good accuracy before calibration and displays a wide range of colors in SDR, but it doesn’t support HDR, which is normal for some low-cost monitors.
It has a VA panel with a high native contrast that helps it display deep blacks in dark rooms, but it doesn’t have a local dimming feature, and there’s a lot of black smearing with fast-moving objects. This means its motion handling is mediocre, but that’s what you have to expect from a cheaper display with a VA panel. Luckily, it has low input lag for a responsive feel and has a 144Hz refresh rate with variable refresh rate support to reduce screen tearing.

Notable Mentions
Samsung LS34BG850SNXZA:
The Samsung LS34BG850SNXZA is comparable to the Dell Alienware AW3423DW because it has a QD-OLED panel. It offers similar performance, but unless you can find it on sale, it isn’t worth spending more on the Samsung for nearly the same performance.
See our review
AOC CU34G2X:
The AOC CU34G2X is an alternative to the Dell S3422DWG if you find the Dell a bit too expensive for a lower mid-range option, but the AOC’s price can go up and down, so only consider it when it’s cheaper than the Dell.
See our review
LG 38WN95C-W:
The LG 38WN95C-W is an alternative to the LG 40WP95C-W, with more gaming features, but if you’re focused on office work, especially if your work requires accurate colors, the 40WP95C-W is the better choice.

Dell S2722DGM:
The Dell S2722DGM is similar to the AOC CQ27G2 because it has similar specs. It gets brighter, but it can be harder to find.

1: Purpose of purchase
The first thing to consider when buying a monitor. When buying a monitor, you can pursue different purposes: games, development, work or watching movies. This will allow you to determine the characteristics of the monitor: color correction, accuracy and much more. For example, choosing a monitor for work, you can abandon the high-contrast VA panel.
2: Resolution
The next thing to consider is the resolution. The higher the resolution, the better the picture quality. Resolution also indicates how many pixels a monitor has. The recommended minimum resolution is 1920X1080 pixels.
3: Display technology
They are different: QHD, WQHD, FHD, HD, etc. Professionals prefer modern technologies – QHD, WQHD, which is best suited for work from home and games. QHD monitors provide a clearer picture, up to 4K.
4: Display size
Size is the most important factor to consider. The larger the display, the better the picture, and therefore, the work efficiency increases. In addition, a large monitor reduces eye strain, which means that long-term work will not affect vision. Many brands offer monitors with a screen size of 49-50 inches.
5: Update rate
Refresh rate ensures smooth picture quality when viewing PPT. The higher the frequency, the smoother the picture. Do not ignore this condition.
So, these criteria will help you choose a monitor. Consider them all when buying. If you’re still undecided, we’ll answer a few frequently asked questions.
