VEX Robotics Competition
The VEX Robotics Competition is the largest and fastest growing middle and high school robotics program globally with more than 3,500 teams from 20 countries playing in over 250 tournaments worldwide. With each year’s game, students, alongside teachers and mentors, work hard to build innovative robots and work together to obtain the most points possible. The competition teaches students basic science and engineering principles and gives them a platform to learn more about career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while also encouraging teamwork, leadership, and problem solving skills.
2014 Game: VEX Toss Up
VEX Toss Up is played on a 12' x 12' square field. In each 2 minute match, two alliances of two robots each score BuckyBalls and large balls in the Goal Zone or Stashes and earn bonus points for hanging with or without a ball at various heights.
