All articles are hand-written by students on the team. These articles contain relevant information about the team, events, and results from a competition.
In the database, an article is assigned an author by a user ID number. However, when the article is displayed on the website, the user ID number is replaced with the author's name.
When the website was first launched, it was only capable of displaying one author for each article. Shortly after posting the websites first article, modifications were made to support multiple authors. This change was made in order to credit all those involved in the article writing process.
The bottom of every article contains a link to the authors' profiles. Also, administrative users may see the mentor that approved the article by browsing the article queue.
Only users that have the can_post flag in their account may post articles in the Article Management System. |
